A través de un trabajo de campo etnográfico realizado durante los años 2009 y 2010 con comunidades gais y trans en dos barrios ubicados en Lima Norte y en el Callao, en este artículo se describen las prácticas sociolingüísticas y corporales que emergieron dentro del contexto del vóley callejero y se demuestra cómo el deporte ilumina las intersecciones de la identidad, el lenguaje, el género y la sexualidad. El rol del vóley es profundamente comunal y social —yendo más allá de los saques, las defensas y el puntaje—. Específicamente, es por medio de las prácticas del insulto y la cultivación de una técnica particular como los interlocutores del estudio desafiaron los reglamentos del vóleibol formal e interrumpieron las normas de la vía pública. A través de la transformación cotidianade la calle en una cancha de vóley, los participantes produjeron un espacio visible y un marco social para desarrollar y hacer legible una estética deportiva queer.","PeriodicalId":53932,"journal":{"name":"Debates en Sociologia","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2020-12-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"49607588","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Para ello analizamos las tramas de intercambios entre estos actores. En este recorrido, analizamos la constitución de los modos en que se configura un acuerdo entre las partes que regula las violencias y gestiona la seguridad en el fútbol. En este acuerdo se habilitan la gestión de mercados ilegales y el desarrollo de procesos identitarios. Finalmente, nos interesa reflexionar sobe el rol del Estado en la gestión de la seguridad en el futbol.","PeriodicalId":53932,"journal":{"name":"Debates en Sociologia","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2020-12-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44085942","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research identifies the socio-political utility given by the Peruvian State to Physical Education throughout the 20th century, distinguishing three different visions of sport for society. The course was inserted in schools at the beginning of the century to solve social problems: strengthening the race, fighting bad habits, and achieving national industrialization and modernization. Between 1950 and 1979, it was closely related to Premilitary Education and the generation of patriotism. Since 1980, the reconceptualiza-tion of the course based on individual development and not on socio-political interests left Physical Education and sport at the end of the queue compared to other State priorities. Efforts to develop Peruvian sport have been reinitiated, but their success depends on defining a clear national vision and project, as well as taking action from schools.","PeriodicalId":53932,"journal":{"name":"Debates en Sociologia","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2020-12-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"49234465","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Through semi-structured interviews with women identified as Afro-Peruvian who were elected to the Congress of the Republic of Peru this article explores their routes to political power from an intersectional perspective. Instead of the traditional path to power through family ties or the paths of political and community activism, participants in this study exemplify an alternative route to being elected representatives: volleyball. This relationship, however, occurs amid paradoxes between the exclusion and inclusion of Afro-Peruvian women in general.","PeriodicalId":53932,"journal":{"name":"Debates en Sociologia","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2020-12-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42289996","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We start by thinking of advertising as «gender technologies» (De Lauretis, 1989) to analyze the commercial strategy of the American brand Nike, leader in the sports market. Currently, the company complements its advertisements with a presence in the field and on social networks, seeking to expand its impact network and thus reach different consumers. In this article we question the ways in which Nike seeks to engage women in multiple scenarios, and investigate the consequences that the brand’s practices have on the subjectivity and materiality of athletes. To do this, we reflect on our ethnographic records on running and football practiced by women in different contexts in the city of Buenos Aires (Argentina), and analyze a series of advertisements, videos and images on social media, where sports activities are represented as a model or example of the new individual and female body ideal.","PeriodicalId":53932,"journal":{"name":"Debates en Sociologia","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2020-12-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44837811","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Desde hace más de dos décadas este ha sido reemplazado por un modelo de «hotel», en el que los trabajadores duermen mientras están en el campamento, dejando a sus familias lejos del asentamiento minero por varios días. Este artículo tiene tres objetivos. Primero, colocar esta transformación en el contexto más amplio de cambios en la industria minera latinoamericana. Segundo, resumir, partiendo de mis investigaciones previas, los caminos a través de los cuales este sistema ha socavado las estrategias tradicionales del sindicalismo minero en el Perú. Por último, argumentar que, a pesar de dichas transformaciones, los trabajadores no son actores pasivos a los nuevos arreglos, sino que han desarrollado nuevas formas de acción, aunque con variaciones que dependen de los contextos locales y nacionales en los que ellas ocurren.","PeriodicalId":53932,"journal":{"name":"Debates en Sociologia","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2019-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"43645669","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Busca ofrecer una visión de su interacción con estos regímenes, partiendo de la memoria colectiva de este pueblo. Luego, el artículo recoge algunas de las características centrales de sus experiencias de manejo y defensa territorial frente a los cambios institucionales que se viven en la alta Amazonía. Así, el artículo aborda las problemáticas ligadas a la profundización de la influencia del Estado nacional peruano y de la presión comercial que busca ejercer cambios profundos en el territorio debido a la extensión de economías de frontera legales e ilícitas, así como cambios demográficos. El artículo hace entonces un recuento de las alternativas que el pueblo wampis genera frente a esto y que conforman su propuesta de gobierno territorial autónomo.","PeriodicalId":53932,"journal":{"name":"Debates en Sociologia","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2019-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47216904","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
