Banasiak","doi":"10.12775/AKZ.2018.005","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.12775/AKZ.2018.005","url":null,"abstract":"The article reflects on the state of and perspectives for cooperation between creators of contemporary bibliographies in digital environment and cultural institutions, like publishing houses, libraries, repositories, archives. The text points out perspectives and chosen problems solutions concerning cooperation between these entities, using the example of the information retrieval system iSybislaw, created by the Institute of Slavic Studies, Polish Academy of Sciences. Information resources of the system are used by scientific publishers (Publishing House of the Institute of Slavic Studies, Polish Academy of Sciences), various types of repositories of written and oral texts, libraries, and institutional portals. The article describes models of integrating these resources. Deliberations led to the conclusion, that nowadays, when growing number of bibliographies work in digital environments, there is a need for close cooperation and integration with cultural institutions. It would lead to broadening the circle of recipients of bibliographic information, which is a treasury of knowledge and cultural heritage. In the case of the iSybislaw system, integration led to growing number of recipients of topics and trends connected with studies of all Slavic languages. Smoczyński","doi":"10.12775/AKZ.2018.001","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.12775/AKZ.2018.001","url":null,"abstract":"Jan Kościolek was a trained lawyer, a clerk of mid-war and post-war Poland, author of many publications. Almost all of them had one objective: to make works of offices more effective. The main aim of the article is to describe his literary output and methods of dealing with records more efficiently, that are presented there. The first part of the article lists 34 publications of Kościolek in a matter of chronology and their subject. He published manuals describing all aspects of institutions functioning (from social problems of working in an office to specific office tasks), as well as articles and books about specific subjects, like controls on district levels or creating manipulative prints and forms. He also published reports on foreign literature and commentaries to regulations of that time. The second part of the article is a synthesis of topic that, according to Kościolek, were supposed to expedite office work, e.g. system of employees suggestions, a special organisational units dedicated to control of creating and storage of records, diagnosing problems in office work (with several methods of analysis), using forms, questions of office space and its equipment, the role of the management staff, working according to an agreed agenda, and systematic controls. Being ready to collect electronic records and to manage them in historical archives is a challenge not only for archival authorities, but also for state archives and creators of archival materials. The latter, according to legal regulations, must pass these records on to territorially competent state archives 10 years after creating these records. Thus, the problem of managing electronic records in state archives is one of more urgent. This article aims at describing the problem of managing electronic records using an ICT system. In Poland, in order to manage these records, a prototype of the Electronic Records Archives system was built in 2006; it was supposed to be implemented in 2018. Deliberations contained in this article concern the concept of the system presented in 2015. Ultimately, the ERA system is supposed to manage, i.e. collect, store, arrange and describe, and provide access to electronic archival materials. In this context, its analysis has been made, regarding especially the process of passing on electronic records to state archives.
