This study seeks to fill this void. By focusing on two areas of repatriants’ settlement in Papua Province (Kwimi village of Keerom and Nasem village of Merauke), this article examines their living conditions in the post-repatriation period and identify ways in which the Indonesian government can improve its repatriation program. Data were gathered through focus group discussions, observation, and library research between the second and third week of December 2021. This research, based on a qualitative descriptive approach, found that Papuan repatriants faced difficulties adjusting to life after repatriation. Among their challenges are reintegrating into the community, finding employment, funding their children’s education, gaining livelihoods, and clashing with land settlements. These difficulties stem from the government’s inability to provide proper assistance to repatriated individuals within the first five years of their settlement, which results in challenges for them during the reintegration process. They help advocate the society by mentoring, raising public awareness, and campaigning values to improve the quality of understanding the public issues. By analyzing the rejection of the death penalty, this study examines the role of KontraS and Imparsial as norm entrepreneurs in human rights campaigns. Both view the death penalty as incompatible with the universal human rights norm, and the government should comprehensively pay greater attention to this issue. With this belief as a rationale, KontraS and Imparsial are motivated to promote the rejection of the penalty as depicted in their campaigns. The two organizations conduct malicious actions like criticism, demonstration, and collaborative strategies such as research, education, and community empowerment in human rights campaigns. This paper is qualitative research using an intensive literature review combined with in-depth interviews. The findings revealed that both succeeded in overspreading counter norms to create political debates regarding death punishment. Ekspansi ini merupakan bagian dari strategi China untuk menopang posisinya sebagai kekuatan ekonomi dan politik global vis a vis Amerika Serikat. Setidaknya hampir 70 negara telah bergabung ke dalam jaringan pendanaan BRI. Skema kerjasama ekonomi ini ikut mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi sekaligus membantu menutupi gap infrastruktur. Namun demikian, tidak semua negara menikmati pembangunan yang seimbang dalam kerjasama ekonomi dengan China. Sebagian mengalami ketergantungan dan bahkan terjebak ke dalam hutang seperti kasus negara-negara di kawasan Afrika. Artikel ini ingin menjawab pertanyaan mengapa skema kerjasama tersebut berubah menjadi jebakan hutang bagi negara-negara di kawasan Afrika. Mengembangkan konsep Structural Power dalam meneliti hubungan investasi China dengan tiga negara di kawasan yaitu Zimbabwe, Kamerun, dan Djibouti, artikel ini berargumen bahwa jebakan hutang terjadi karena disparitas struktur hubungan antara China sebagai negara pemberi dana dengan negara di kawasan sebagai penerima investasi. China, dalam hal ini, memiliki aspek “good” yang lebih dominan, sementara negara-negara Afrika lebih banyak pada “need”. Indonesia respectfully maintains good relations with Russia to get more benefits and economic possibilities such as from the tourism sector. The Indonesian Festival is one of the instruments imposed and utilized by the Indonesian government to achieve the nation's economic interests. This article aims to explain that the \"Indonesian Festival\" event is a form of public diplomacy and Indonesian economic diplomacy, especially in the tourism sector. This article uses public diplomacy as an analytical tool accompanied by qualitative research methods. This study aimed to explore the motivation behind working in Japan and factors behind the Indonesian nurses' intention to stay in Japan or return to Indonesia after the contract is terminated. This descriptive quantitative study used an online survey involving 103 respondents. Results revealed that a high rate of remuneration and better working environment were the pull factors whereas low salarie, and poor working conditions in Indonesia were the major reasons why Indonesian nurses wanted to work in Japan. Of the 103 respondents, 71 % stated that they intended to remain in Japan, whereas 29 % preferred to return to Indonesia after the contract is terminated. The research only focused on one framework of Indonesian migrant workers (nurse). Aktivitas perdagangan internasional terganggu karena penutupan total (total lockdown) yang dilakukan untuk menghentikan penyebaran pandemi ini. International Monetary Fund (IMF), World Bank, dan OECD menunjukkan dampak ekonomi dari pandemi COVID-19, dimana pertumbuhan ekonomi dunia akan turun pada -4,9% sampai -6%. Hal ini juga berdampak pada sektor ekonomi Indonesia yang didominasi oleh keberadaan Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) yakni turunnya kinerja ekspor seiring terkontraksinya pertumbuhan ekonomi dan daya beli di berbagai negara. Indonesia membutuhkan bantuan tidak saja dari dalam negeri dan dari kerjasama internasional dengan negara lain, akan tetapi keterlibatan seluruh masyarakat dimanapun berada dibutuhkan untuk bersama-sama menyelesaikan pandemi ini. Kelompok diaspora Indonesia yang tersebar di berbagai belahan dunia dapat menjadi salah satu solusi. Penelitian ini akan berfokus pada bagaimana kelompok diaspora Indonesia yang tersebar di Amerika Serikat dan Jerman membantu para pelaku UMKM di Indonesia untuk memanfaatkan pasar luar negeri. Catatan lapangan saya menggambarkan bahwa kelompok jaringan perantara dalam pemekaran daerah atau usaha untuk mengakses keuntungan ekonomi politik tersebut disebut dengan “kelompok mencari”. Data utama artikel ini adalah wawancara mendalam sebanyak dua kali terhadap PTW, seorang tokoh sentral birokrat pemekaran Provinsi Papua Barat di Sorong pada Maret 2009. Argumen utama artikel ini adalah genealogi pemekaran daerah, khususnya di wilayah kepala burung (Sorong Raya) adalah konsumsi para elit local dan kelompok kelas menengah Papua. Mereka adalah kelompok-kelompok patron yang terdiri dari jaringan birokrat, pengusaha, dan kepala suku dan marga di wilayah Sorong Raya. Kelompok-kelompok ini membangun jaringan dan aliansi untuk pembentukan provinsi dan kabupaten baru, pembagian proyek-proyek pembangunan, dan pengisian jabatan-jabatan birokrasi di rencana wilayah pemekaran baru. Keseluruhan tingkah polah jaringan perantara (brokerage) tersebut melandasi dasar awal rencana pemekaran wilayah baru dan program-program pembangunan yang selanjutnya berlangsung. Artikel ini berargumentasi bahwa jeratan kepentingan jaringan perantara (brokerage) ini mewarnai pelaksanaan pemerintahan di wilayah baru dan juga rencana pembentukan Provinsi Papua Barat Daya. Namun Tridaya pembangunan (bantuan keuangan, pembangunan infrastruktur dan pemberdayaan sosial-ekonomi) terkendala persoalan internal dan eksternal. Di sisi internal, program pembangunan belum mampu mengaktifkan partisipasi seluruh kelompok masyarakat dalam kegiatan pembangunan dan mendorong terintegrasinya kegiatan sosial-ekonomi. Sebabnya adalah program kegiatan pembangunan masih terpusat pada sektor infrastruktur, kemudian informasi berada pada kelompok elit kampung dan pelaksanaan bersifat proyek. Di sisi eksternal, program bantuan yang diberikan bersifat karitatif dan tidak banyak menambah pasar maupun hasil produksi warga, malah membuat ketergantungan atas bantuan yang diberikan.
