We present the local convergence analysis of a class of k -step iterative algorithms using the Hölder continuity condition for approximating solutions of nonlinear equations in Banach spaces. Our analysis is based on the Hölder continuity of the first-order Fréchet derivative and boosts the ap-plicability of the family when the Lipschitz condition fails. This convergence analysis generalizes the local convergence results with the Lipschitz continuity condition. Also, it produces radii of balls of convergence along with the bounds on the error and uniqueness of the solution. The dynamical properties of the class are also explored using complex dynamics tools. The process is quasistatic and the contact is modelled with a general nonlocal friction law in which the adhesion of contact surfaces is taken into account. We derive a variational formulation of the problem and, under smallness assumptions, we establish an existence and uniqueness theorem of a weak solution, including a regularity result. We study the model described by the following system of ODEs: { K̇ = sKα − δK, Ṅ = rN ( N CT − 1 ) ( 1− N CC ) − γ0K. We study the asymptotics of solutions; among other things, we find critical points, determine their stability and find their attraction basins. This article was inspired by [M. Kornafel, I.
