The journey which is considered a birth of a new museum called the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM). It is important to draw on the multiple chapters of the museum’s story and its collection from Asbakeya to Boulaq and to Giza up to its current location in Tahrir Square. This paper sheds light on its first journey and the story of its birth in Asbakeya. Although retrieving the history of the Asbakeya Museum and its collection has not been possible due to the lack of documentation or any description of its arrangement, the scattered pieces of information help in illustrating it. No information about their provenance, date and owner is recorded. The mummy wrapping SR 2201 is probably unique as it presents a cryptographic writing of the name of king Ramesses II with a representation of Cobra as Amun. The two other bandages present different abridged versions of BD Spell 101 for a woman named Nesikhonsu. Although no titles or family affiliations are included, she may have belonged to a Theban family of the Twenty-first Dynasty. ABSTRACT This research studies a terracotta statue of a woman representing the conjunction of the Egyptian goddess Isis and the Greek one Aphrodite. It is currently preserved at Tanta Museum under No. 3658. The decorative elements in the statue represent a mixture of Egyptian and Greek details, as seen through her jewellery and headdress. The statue is dated to the end of the 2 nd century BC and the beginning of the 1 st century BC. The provenance of this stela is unknown. The database of the Egyptian Museum in Cairo did not provide any data about this stela. It belongs to Mertanahy, who was Sole companion and Overseer of cloth. It probably dates to the late Old Kingdom to Early First Intermediate Period, based on its style, epigraphical and orthographical study. It is worth noting that the text recorded on this stela is very common.
