One of the latest approaches in the education field is learning analytics (LA). The use of LA in Google Classroom (GC) as the learning platform that measures, collects, analyses data and reports information about students to help teachers improve teaching and learning (T&L). This study aimed to determine the factors of teachers’ technology acceptance as the predictor for use LA in GC among the teachers in secondary schools. It is done by observing 304 teachers in daily secondary schools in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur. The research instrument used was online questionnaire using Google Form, which data were collected and analyses by using IBM SPSS Statistics Version 26.0. The findings from this study show that the use of GC, teachers’ perceived usefulness and behavioral intention were the predictors that influenced the performance of LA in GC. This study hoped to provide a description and contribute a required alternative for the Ministry of Education (MOE) Malaysia and the schools in designing an effective strategy that can help teachers monitor the suitability of using LA in GC during teaching and learning.","PeriodicalId":52277,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Evaluation and Research in Education","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"45366228","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This is shown by the achievements in the field of science obtained in various science competitions. Scientific achievements are obtained through a long and continuous process, including through science coaching. By using qualitative methods, this study aimed to describe the science coaching model at State Madrasah Aliyah (MAN) 2 Malang City. The results showed that the science coaching model in MAN 2 Malang City includes four main aspects. First, strengthening the management aspect through establishing the olympic and research program and fulfilling adequate infrastructure. Second, strengthening students’ concepts and abilities through matriculation and programmed guidance. Third, empowering the olympic class and the olympic club through a rigorous selection and the implementation of periodic tests and tryouts. Fourth, synergy with other parties, such as Ma’had Al-Qalam, state universities, and National Achievement Center (Pusat Prestasi Nasional/Puspresnas). The success of scientific development cannot be separated from the interest and motivation of students to learn, adequate infrastructure, a conducive learning environment, and the support of the madrasa principal, committee, and parents.","PeriodicalId":52277,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Evaluation and Research in Education","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"41539288","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, studies are still needed within the context of the Philippines in terms of the impact of the pandemic on university students in light of a gradual limited face-to-face transition. This study determined the Filipino college students’ perceived impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the prevalence of depression, anxiety, and stress symptomatology (DASS) among them. This cross-sectional study surveyed Filipino university students from a public higher education institution in the Philippines via convenience sampling. A total of 3,718 students participated in the study. Analysis showed that despite the respondents’ level of DASS being roughly similar and normal, half of them is experiencing mild to extremely severe symptomatology. Further results indicated that there is a statistically significant difference in their DASS when grouped according to their gender and class level. The findings will be beneficial to multiple stakeholders in designing data-driven policies that would maximize the possibility of a safe resumption of limited, gradual, and eventually, full face-to-face modalities.","PeriodicalId":52277,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Evaluation and Research in Education","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"41599843","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study also used a technology acceptance model (TAM) theory approach by adding external variables, namely motivation and habit, to the study. The survey method was conducted to collect data from 209 elementary school students. We analyzed the data using the structural equation modeling (SEM) PLS 3.0 application. The study’s results showed that one hypothesis was rejected: Motivation had no significant effect on perceived usefulness. In contrast, the other seven hypotheses had a significant positive effect. Research suggested that the habit factor fits the theoretical approach of the TAM model.","PeriodicalId":52277,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Evaluation and Research in Education","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"46412109","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Researchers used class XII students of Muhammadiyah 1 Bambanglipuro Vocational High School, Indonesia with the criteria of having implemented industrial work practices (N=433) as research subjects. The sample consisted of 168 students obtained randomly by cluster sampling technique. Likert model scale as the main instrument in obtaining empiric data to answer the research hypothesis using multiple regression techniques with the help of the SPSS V.23 program. Based on the results of the analysis, it is known that self-regulation, self-evaluation, and self-efficacy have a very significant effect on the level of employability (F=134.28 and sig.=.000). Partially, each independent variable (self-regulation, self-evaluation, and self-efficacy) also has a very significant effect on employability with statistical values (t) obtained at 11.54, 3.24, 7.99 and sig. level of .000, .001, .000. These findings provide evidence that self-originating factors (self-regulation, self-evaluation, and self-efficacy) are sufficiently capable of increasing employability. Thus, it can be concluded that internal factors are one of the critical factors in predicting the employability of vocational students.","PeriodicalId":52277,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Evaluation and Research in Education","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"43066329","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One of them is enterprise resource planning (ERP) technology. Therefore, this study aimed to analyze the technology readiness index (TRI) to measure the extent to which students’ readiness for ERP gamification. This research targets students who use ERP gamification during management information systems and accounting information systems courses. The technique of determining the sample is using a census. So that all the population is used as a sample of 153 students in Indonesia, then analyzed using TRI. Through TRI analysis using SEM PLS, most students studying ERP gamification have a medium readiness index. The findings of this research showed that students are very close to technology, so they have a strong adoption of technology. Most students have an explorer character where they are enthusiastic and have high curiosity about learning ERP gamification. Pioneers who need a little encouragement from external parties to adopt ERP gamification. However, typical skeptics should be given a concrete example of the benefits of using ERP in learning. This research is also a benchmark for developing technology-based learning media according to the characteristics of students who are intended for technology in higher education.","PeriodicalId":52277,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Evaluation and Research in Education","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"46860042","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The research was emancipatory because it seeks to empower the community to address the local problems of literacy learning loss experienced by the needy early graders. The data were collected through literacy assessment, observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings showed that 90% of the early graders improved their literacy mostly with two and one level progress. Factors contributing to the success were good preparation of volunteers, engaging teaching approaches, relevant materials that suited student levels, and continuous assessment. The last key finding was that the volunteers strongly embodied teaching voluntarism as a soul with six features (affection towards others, action of giving, availability, positive inner feelings, heroism, and divinity). The recommendation from these findings is that multi-stakeholders, including the government, provide support to enhance the program sustainability. This research contributes a model of voluntary teaching for low socio-economic early graders that can be adapted in other locations in Indonesia and overseas.","PeriodicalId":52277,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Evaluation and Research in Education","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47444173","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The selection of an active learning model is an attempt to overcome this problem. This study aimed to investigate the effects of problem based learning (PBL) and integrated PBL digital mind maps (DMM) on university students’ collaboration skills. This quasi-experimental study employed a pretest-posttest control group design. The participants consisted of 103 students majoring in biology education from Riau, Indonesia. Each of the classes was randomly picked to act as the PBL group, integrated PBL-DMM group, and traditional group. The students’ collaboration skills were observed using an observation sheet which contained aspects of responsibility, respect, contribution, organize work and work as a whole team. The data obtained were analyzed using analysis of covariance (ANACOVA) and least significance different (LSD) test. The ANACOVA results demonstrated some significant changes in both comparison groups: PBL and integrated PBL-DMM. In other word, learning models had an effect on students’ collaboration skills. However, the LSD test proved that both learning models were not significantly different in improving students’ collaboration skills, despite the fact that the students in the integrated PBL-DMM model class could perform better than those of PBL. Therefore, educators may either use PBL or integrated PBL-DMM in the classroom.","PeriodicalId":52277,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Evaluation and Research in Education","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"64366342","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
