Because of its benefits, including a long sensing distance and good spatial resolution, Brillouin Optical Time Domain Analysis (BOTDA) has received a lot of interest. A method for reducing the polarization random noise of a two-dimensional force sensor based on random forest is proposed in order to lessen the restriction between long sensing distance and high spatial resolution and measurement accuracy. The random forest algorithm is presented first. The polarization correlation of Stimulated Brillouin Scattering (SBS) and its impact on Brillouin time domain analysis and sensing are then examined. By studying polarization random noise, a method to suppress polarization random noise based on random forest algorithm and Brillouin phase shift spectrum (BPS) is proposed. Following that, simulation studies are used to confirm the method's impact on enhancing sensing accuracy. Finally, an analysis is done of the impact of gray coded BOTDA system sensors on wavelet-based image threshold denoising technology. The findings demonstrate that while the wavelet threshold denoising method is excellent at denoising white noise, it is not successful at suppressing polarization random noise, which lowers the sensing accuracy. Polarization random noise is less of an issue with BPS than it is with Brillouin gain spectrum (BGS), which allows for a three-fold increase in sensing accuracy. Wavelet denoising has a denoising impact on Brillouin phase shift sensing data that is unquestionably superior to Brillouin gain, and the BFS fluctuation is unquestionably decreased after denoising. This paper offers some suggestions and guidelines for reducing polarization random noise in sensors.","PeriodicalId":52126,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Mechatronics and Applied Mechanics","volume":"639 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139214654","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This article designed reinforced concrete (RC) beams with different corrosion conditions (10 days/30 days under electric current) and varying sustained load levels (30%/60%) and briefly introduced specimen preparation, corrosion simulation, sustained loading, and loading methods to understand the flexural performance of different RC beams. The results showed that with an increase in both the number of corrosion days and load levels, the corrosion rate of the RC beams increased. The corrosion rate of F6C3 reached 10.34%; the number of transverse cracks in F6C3 decreased, and the average crack spacing increased. For F0C0 and F6C3, there were 21 and 7 transverse cracks respectively, and the average crack spacings were 78.64 mm and 262.33 mm respectively. Both the number of vertical cracks and the maximum crack width increased. The cracking moment for F0C0 was 11.21 kN·m, and its ultimate bending moment was 64.62 kN·m. The cracking moment for F6C3 was 10.07 kN·m, which was 10.17% lower than that of the F0C0, and its ultimate bending moment was 61.55 kN·m, which was 4.75% lower than that of F0C0. The ultimate bearing capacity of the RC beams also decreased rapidly. The results demonstrate the influence of reinforcement corrosion on the flexural performance of RC beams, which can provide a reference for evaluating and maintaining actual building structures.","PeriodicalId":52126,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Mechatronics and Applied Mechanics","volume":"21 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139209555","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The safety and stability of vehicle driving have always been a particularly important issue. The complexity of electronic control systems makes it impractical to conduct online electrical performance testing on real vehicles in research and development. In this paper, a new signal simulation method for the ESP dynamic electrical performance testing is proposed by comparing the HIL (Hardware-in-the-loop) simulation methods for vehicles and analyzing the impact of the ESP on vehicle safety and stability. To begin with, a comprehensive structural design scheme for the HIL simulation platform which is proposed by analyzing the ESP structure and control principle. Then, the principle of lateral acceleration and yaw rate that is generated by vehicle which is analyzed, and a three-dimensional model of the combined simulation device was built. Subsequently, the physical development of the simulation device was completed. Finally, the feasibility of the simulation device was verified. The experimental results indicate that the simulation device can generate continuous lateral acceleration and yaw rate signals. With the motor rotation changes, the generated signal error is different. But the generated overall error is relatively small. Therefore, the simulation device can meet the usage requirements.","PeriodicalId":52126,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Mechatronics and Applied Mechanics","volume":"44 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139209619","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
