Polypropylene is usually added with a filler, namely bentonite, to make polypropylene which has better mechanical and thermal properties. The coupling agent is added to improve the adhesion of the matrix with the surface so that the composite component has better durability. To improve the ability of the filler material, bentonite is converted into nanoparticles. Bentonite nanoparticles are expected to have better mechanical, thermal, electrical, and optical properties than particles with micro or macro sizes due to their large surface area. Based on the description above, it is necessary to study the effect of using bentonite nanoparticles with a coupling agent in the form of Maleic Anhydride-g-PP (MAPP) on the tensile strength and thermal properties of polypropylene composites. The variables of this study are the composition variation (weight %) of polypropylene, coupling agent (MAPP), and bentonite nanoparticles of 100:0:0, 95:0:5, 90:5:5, 85:5:10, 92:3:5, and 87:3:10. The method used in this study uses a twin-screw extruder tool with a temperature of 190°C and then tested regarding its tensile strength and thermal properties. The results showed that the addition of nano-bentonite tends to cause an increase in the decomposition temperature of the sample but does not increase the tensile strength of the composite, so it only functions as a polymer composite filler. While based on Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) testing, the enthalpy value decreases with increasing concentration of coupling agent.","PeriodicalId":517328,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Teknologi dan Manajemen","volume":"170 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139897472","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

YZ is currently still not optimal in utilizing the resources it has (input) so that the results (output) produced are not in accordance with the target which results in a decrease in company productivity and so productivity measurements must be carried out in the company. Besides that, at PT. YZ has never conducted a thorough productivity measurement during the production process. Therefore, in this study, productivity measurements were carried out with the aim of knowing the results of measuring productivity levels at PT. YZ, to find out the factors causing a decrease in productivity levels and evaluate productivity against measurement results that have low productivity. The proper method for analyzing these problems is to use the Marvin E Mundel method to measure productivity and the Productivity Evaluation Tree (PET) method is used to evaluate productivity issues. In carrying out processing using this method, it is assisted by the Embarcadero-Dev C ++ Software. Based on the results of research using the Marvin E. Mundel method, it was found that company productivity had decreased, namely that in 2021 total productivity was 1.14 and in 2022 total productivity was 1.13. The cause of the decline in company productivity is that the labor factor is not clearly regulated for sanctions and rewards for the company; the raw material factor is the long distance of delivery from the raw material supplier to the production site; and the energy factor has not yet carried out accurate calculations regarding the use of electricity for the process. Production and machine factors have not yet established a machine maintenance schedule. The evaluation results using the Productivity Evaluation Tree (PET) method show that total productivity has increased; in 2022, total productivity was 1.13, and in 2023, total productivity was 1.15. To increase productivity, this was done by reducing input, namely the number of workers. By reducing the number of workers, productivity increases.","PeriodicalId":517328,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Teknologi dan Manajemen","volume":"85 ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139893960","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Hospital Pharmacy Installation (IFRS) is one of the health support activity units responsible for planning, procurement, management, storage, distribution, use of drugs, equipment, and pharmaceutical services for medical devices related to the distribution of drugs used in hospitals. Pharmacy has several risks that need to be addressed to increase customer satisfaction. This study aims to determine the extent of the implementation of Supply Chain Risk Management, identify risks in supply chain activities, and obtain risk management strategies. In this study, the method used is the assessment of Supply Chain Risk Management and continued the evaluation of the drug chain in pharmaceutical installations with the House of Risk. It is divided into two stages, namely House of Risk Stage 1, which is used to decide the risk in each supply chain, and House of Risk Stage 2, to offers a decision-making strategy for each chosen decision. There are 20 risk events and 20 risk agents in the House of Risk stage 1, and 11 proposed risk management strategies in the House of Risk stage 2. Out of 20 risks identified in stage 1, 11 risks contributed to 80% highest risk, and the top three are drug shortage, inappropriate planning, and unclear doctor’s writing. In stage 2, the three most prioritized strategies are e-prescription implementation, clear signs for LASA drugs, and conducting supplier performance evaluation. PT XYZ is a cosmetic manufacturing services company that has been established for more than 15 years producing quality cosmetics, skincare and beauty soap. However, during the production process there were various problems, namely waste was found. The aim of this research is to identify waste and provide suggestions for improvements to PT XYZ's transparent bar soap production line. The method used in this research is Value Stream Mapping (VSM) by conducting interviews and direct observation as a data collection method. The results of the research that has been carried out are the discovery of waste in the form of transportation, waiting, and defects caused by various factors. These factors include human factors, methods, machines, processes and the environment. From the identification results, several recommendations for improvement were proposed, such as holding training on the use of sealing machines, implementing the 5R culture, routinely checking raw materials, optimizing the use of cutting machines, and routinely monitoring products and employee activities. After carrying out the improvement process, the production time was 2,581.36 minutes with a lead time of 26.29 minutes, compared to the initial condition, which was 4,102 minutes with a lead time of 39.89 minutes. Thus, it can be concluded that after carrying out the improvement process, it is hoped that the production process will run faster than before.","PeriodicalId":517328,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Teknologi dan Manajemen","volume":"14 3","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139897431","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
