At the same time, it also has some disadvantages, which can include the difficulty of increasing throughput without high capital investments and possible leaks and unauthorized tie-ins into pipelines, which are sometimes difficult to identify. Looping is one of the main ways to increase the throughput of the existing pipeline system, when the need to increase the volume of oil and oil products supplies requires the construction of several parallel pipelines — looping. At the same time, the basic mathematical model for calculating the section of the trunk oil pipeline with looping does not fully cover all the physical processes associated with the distribution of flows in the parallel section, which arise due to turbulences in the connection nodes, as well as head loss along the length of the jumpers. Taking into account the resulting flow redistributions, it becomes difficult to detect a potential leak, since any of the detection methods can not solve the problem with high accuracy with determining the leak coordinate with an unknown distribution of fluid flow rates in a parallel section. As part of the study, an updated mathematical model of the oil export pipeline section with looping was developed, which took into account the presence of a potential leak in the parallel section. Mathematical modeling was carried out on the basis of the assumption of a known coordinate, the effect of leakage on the redistribution of flows in a parallel section was estimated. To assess the impact of the leak, various coordinates and volumetric flow rates were set, based on the calculation results, graphs of the flow rate in looping versus its length and internal diameter were plotted. The study is the initial phase of developing a hydraulic location leak detection system for the oil export pipeline section with looping. The need to refine the mathematical model for determining the flow rate in the parallel section is an urgent and necessary task, the solution of which will allow identifying potential leaks with reliable accuracy.","PeriodicalId":515328,"journal":{"name":"Petroleum Engineering","volume":"5 S5","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141714030","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Leads to the formation of depressions in certain areas of the surface of metal products.This type of metal destruction is unpredictable and the most dangerous:— pitting grows deeper into the metal at a rate exceeding the rate of general corrosion;— rapid development can lead to the formation of corrosion cracks, fistulas or pinpoint through destruction of the metal;— due to its rapid spread and small size, the defect is not easy to detect even with the use of non-destructive testing methods;— with a large accumulation of pitting corrosion, the depth of damage on the metal surface is greater;— pitting type corrosion can spread on stainless steels and in layers of the top anti-corrosion coating.Work has been carried out to select a method for technical diagnostics of the pipeline, capable of identifying the presence of pitting corrosion damage to the pipe.As a sample, a cut-out pipeline element with a diameter of 325 mm, a wall thickness of 5 mm, steel grade TP304 according to ASTM A312 (equivalent to 08Х18Н10) was provided, containing areas affected by internal pitting corrosion of the base metal, through lesions with chipping of the factory welded joint and multiple corrosion lesions lower reinforcement of assembly welded joints.In order to solve the problem, it was recommended to test certain equipment using eddy current testing methods and ultrasonic testing methods.During the work, both welded joints and the base metal of the pipe sample were scanned.The low-frequency eddy current flaw detector TiS 8C allows you to detect localized defects with high productivity. It is known that the fallout of paraffin deteriorates the technological characteristics of the pipeline, which has a number of negative consequences from an economic point of view: a decrease in income due to a narrowing of the flow area and the volume of pumped oil, an increase in costs due to the increased load on main pumps. Today, there are many different ways to combat wax deposits, primarily aimed at preventing the fallout or removing formed deposits from the internal surface of an oil pipeline, the effectiveness of which is determined individually for each pipeline due to the complexity in assessing the influence of the rheological characteristics of oil and the geological conditions of the pipeline on the effectiveness of the methods. One of the additional and universal options for combating wax deposits is the use of internal and external protective coatings.The authors have developed a number of models of oil pipelines that use oils from various oil and gas basins, differing in paraffin content, and considering the presence of insulation of various protective coatings (paint and varnish, highly reinforced protective coating (VUS), bitumen-mastic VUS, polyurethane foam) and their combinations. For these models, the Schlumberger OLGA program simulated the operation of the pipeline for 180 days, on the basis of which the maximum thickness of the formed paraffin was estimated, and the specific energy costs for pumping through the pipeline without coating and various types of coating were calculated, after which the calculation was performed main economic indicators of pipeline operation for each option. Based on the calculation results, it was concluded that it is advisable to use one or another coating based on the shortest payback period. This comprehensive assessment demonstrates a methodology for assessing the effectiveness of the use of protective coatings from both a technological and economic point of view and allows us to draw conclusions about the possibility of using one or another option based on the results of the study, depending on the composition of the oil.","PeriodicalId":515328,"journal":{"name":"Petroleum Engineering","volume":"664 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141707679","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Of the entire arsenal of thermal methods, areal steam injection and cyclic-steam stimulation have become the most widespread.When choosing an effective thermal impact technology, it is necessary to take into account the peculiarities of the geological and physical parameters of deposits and the factors involved in oil recovery. An effective technology should be based on the use of the main most important factors that increase oil recovery.One example of areal steam injection is the underground-surface method of developing the Yarega area of the Yaregskoef ield. With this technology, steam is pumped from the surface through vertical wells. Oil production is carried out in the underground galleries of the oil sheds.Twenty years of practice and geophysical studies of steam injection wells have revealed a number of factors that prevent uniform heating of the reservoir over the entire thickness and efficient use of coolant energy. It turned out that the injected steam is mainly concentrated in the bed zone of the formation. In this case, the formation does not warm up evenly in thickness. The heterogeneity of the reservoir (tectonic disturbances, cracks every 20-25 m) does not allow the creation of steam pressure up to 1,6 MPa along the contour of the developed areas in order to involve the inclined block. At design pressures, steam breaks into mine workings and gently descending production wells are observed.The experimental studies described in this work are aimed at finding alignment of the intake profile of steam injection wells and redistribution of coolant in a remote reservoir zone. The results of the application of sedimentation compositions in bulk reservoir models under various thermobaric conditions of steam injection are presented. As a result of injection of solutions of iron sulfate, sodium carbonate and calcium chloride, insoluble sediments were formed in the rock, which led to a decrease in permeability during water vapor filtration. The experimental study was performed on a bulk reservoir model using natural core grinding, as well as drilled and extracted core samples from wells of the Yaregskoe field. The use of sedimentation compositions in steam injection wells in the future may contribute to the involvement of rock sections in the development by redistributing the steam flow, which in turn will increase the oil recovery coefficient and reduce the steam-oil ratio.","PeriodicalId":515328,"journal":{"name":"Petroleum Engineering","volume":"104 S6","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141695907","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In such conditions, it is necessary to provide for the use of various methods aimed at additional recovery of oil reserves. In particular, it is necessary to provide for the use of tertiary impact methods, a significant share of which is occupied by flow- diverting technologies. The meaning of their application lies in the injection of a small amount of chemical reagents aimed at reducing the permeability of water-washed zones by installing a water-insulating barrier in them and redirecting water filtration flows to previously non-flooded reservoir zones. It should be noted that, unlike most methods of increasing oil recovery, in the case of the use of flow-diverting technologies, the flooding agent does not change — both before and after pumping the rim of chemical reagents, water is used as a flooding agent.From an analysis of literary sources and experience in the use of various types of flow-diverting technologies, it follows that one of the most frequently used technologies, with high versatility of action, is the technology of cross-linked polymer systems based on polymers of the acrylamide series. In this connection, this work presents the results of cross-linked polymer systems studies for selected promising development objects of LLC RN-Purneftegaz. Formulations containing polymers in the concentration range from 0.18 to 1.0 % with the addition of 0,018–0,01 % chromium acetate cross-linker were investigated. Additionally, compositions with the addition of bentonite clay powder in an amount of 0.5 wt.% were studied. A study was carried out of solubility, compatibility with water, crosslinkability of compositions,viscosity properties of initial solutions and crosslinked systems based on them. The thermal stability of cross-linked polymer systems was studied at temperatures from 44 ℃ to 95 ℃ and different mineralization. Recommendations for the use of flow-diverting technologies have been developed.","PeriodicalId":515328,"journal":{"name":"Petroleum Engineering","volume":"536 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141707736","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Tubing is operated under conditions of increased loads under the influence of its own weight, internal pressure and constant contact with highly aggressive media. As a result of simultaneous exposure to corrosive media and operational loads, tubing is the most consumable downhole material. The destruction and, as a result, the breakage of the tubing suspension occurs as a result of mechanical abrasion and cracking of the pipe body, the development of fatigue cracks in the thread, etc. Contact with aggressive agents of the extracted fluid and reservoir waters leads to various types of corrosion damage: ulcerative, pitting, corrosion fatigue, corrosion cracking, meza corrosion, biocorrosion, etc. Corrosion foci are localized on the inner and outer surfaces of pipes. The problem is complicated by the increased content of carbon dioxide (CO2), hydrogen sulfide (H2S), as well as the presence of various bacteria in oil and gas fields.This article is devoted to the study of the mechanical characteristics and microstructure of tubing steels that were in operation under conditions of complicating factors and highly aggressive corrosive environment. Tubing pipes Ø73x5.5 of strength group E. were tested. The following research methods were carried out: visual inspection; determination of the chemical composition of steel; determination of hardness; uniaxial tensile test; optical microscopy.As a result of the tests, quantitative characteristics of the mechanical properties of the steels were obtained. A significant decrease in the hardness, tensile strength and yield strength of steel has been established under prolonged exposure to complicated operating conditions. Metallographic studies have established the contamination of steels with silicates of various shapes, amounting to 3 and 2 points according to GOST 1778. Microstructural studies have been carried out. The fine-grained ferrite-carbide structure of steels has been revealed. This structure corresponds to the heat treatment mode: quenching followed by tempering.","PeriodicalId":515328,"journal":{"name":"Petroleum Engineering","volume":"172 6","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141694759","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The launch of new gas projects at the Turon and Senoman production facilities in Western Siberia provided a good opportunity to critically analyze the known methods of protecting production, gathering and transportation facilities of the gas field from the formation of solid gas hydrates. The paper presents the experience of implementing a program of laboratory studies of conditions of gas hydrate formation with their subsequent processing and in-depth analysis. The research program covered the area of thermobaric parameters typical for the conditions of Turon-Senoman deposits exploitation with localization of hydrate-hazardous areas in the conditions of technological regimes for full development. The description of laboratory studies is given, in which two gas compositions of Senoman and Turon objects, different variants of mineralization and ionic composition corresponding to formation and condensation water, as well as hydrate formation conditions under changing dosages of basic inhibitor on the basis of methanol were considered. The details of the experiment based on the method of swinging cells and the subsequent analysis of the results of the completed experiments to determine the thermobaric conditions of formation and decomposition of hydrates are given. The main features of the experiment are specified, estimates of the rate of change of the influencing parameters of the experiment on its quality are given. In the process of implementation of the experimental program, the optimal values of these parameters were selected, which allowed us to significantly reduce the variation of experimental results to determine the thermobaric conditions of hydrate formation. It is experimentally established that the temperature of hydrate decomposition is higher than the temperature of its formation at all investigated gas compositions and water mineralization.Based on the processing of an extensive matrix of experimental studies, the calculation dependences of thermobaric conditions of hydrate formation were specified, which allowed to significantly improve the efficiency of prediction and accuracy of calculation of optimal dosages of inhibitor for the Kharampurskoye gas field. Metal structures are often used to erect production facilities, as they are characterized by high reliability, industriality, durability and quick erection. The frames of production buildings designed for the oil refining and petrochemical industry must retain their load-bearing capacity throughout the entire specified period of operation, ensuring the safety of people, equipment, materials and products. Such production facilities with a higher level of responsibility have special requirements to ensure their safety in the event of an accident. The design of these buildings considers situations in which the damaged structures must retain their load-bearing capacity or their failure must be compensated by other elements of the frame to avoid complete destruction of the building.The issues concerning the mechanisms of collapse occurring in industrial buildings when they are subjected to special loads, as well as the identification of their most vulnerable nodes, are poorly studied. There are still no unified concepts and reliable engineering calculation methods based on them, which can provide protection against progressive collapse of buildings and guarantee their stability. Nowadays, the solution of the issue of resistance of industrial buildings to progressive collapse, according to the guidelines laid down in the legislative base, entails huge costs and a large overconsumption of materials, which causes disputes about the correctness of the approach laid down in the regulatory framework and requires research to find new optimal solutions to strengthen structures.This paper studies the resistance to progressive collapse of steel frames of single-storey industrial buildings and evaluates the effectiveness of measures to improve the avalanche collapse resistance of such buildings.In the study the frames of single-span and multi-span industrial buildings are examined for their stability under special impacts, various cases of exclusion from the work of the building structures are analyzed and the most efficient measures to improve the stability of such buildings are proposed.","PeriodicalId":515328,"journal":{"name":"Petroleum Engineering","volume":"17 67","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141696368","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Currently, the share of wells planned for the operation of this target in the coming years is growing. There are cases when the well performance does not meet the forecasts, which calls into question the correctness of the model used in the development of the target and the structure of the section itself.For high-quality planning of the production stock, it is necessary to prepare a reliable geological basis. The problem of updating the model and improving its reliability lies in the complex geological structure of the formation, which is characterized by high lateral and vertical heterogeneity, as well as in the absence of the basis for all geological models - seismic studies of the investigated subsoil area.The cross-section of the YuS2 reservoirs is complex for petrophysical and geological modeling and is characterized by low reservoir properties. The reservoirs are represented by thin interbeds of permeable interlayers and impermeable clay, carbonaceous and dense rocks.The article examines the specifics of building petrophysical models of YuS2 formations during development drilling using all available core and borehole data to detail the deposits of the Tyumen formation. Decommissioning of developed or inactive oil and gas wells is associated with a number of environmental, economic and legal problems. Liquidation of oil and gas facilities can become a significant expense for companies, especially if the budget deficit does not fully pay off during operation. At the same time, the negative impact of field development on the environment is not limited to the period of active production. With the onset of liquidation work, subsoil users may have obligations to government agencies in the form of taxes, licenses and other payments, which also increases their financial burden. Interaction between the state and subsoil users in the process of development and decommissioning of oil and gas fields becomes an important factor in the rational use of natural resources. Often, control over the liquidation of abandoned or decommissioned fields is entrusted to the state, although companies also have obligations to report on planned and implemented related activities. Since liquidation measures are a rather labor-intensive process that requires careful planning and financial resources, subsoil users sometimes evade responsibility, citing the lack of the necessary amount of financial resources to carry out these works. The article provides an overview of international experience in approaches to financing liquidation work. Mechanisms of legal regulation of relations between state management bodies and subsoil users, organizational, technical and economic problems of liquidation of oil and gas fields, as well as a number of approaches to effective financial support for the decommissioning of oil and gas facilities are considered. In conclusion, based on the presented analysis of the problems of the industry and international experience in organizing liquidation measures, the authors give several of their proposals, the implementation of which can be considered necessary preparatory work for effectively solving the problems of eliminating the consequences of the operation of hydrocarbon deposits with the onset of the desired economic stability.","PeriodicalId":515328,"journal":{"name":"Petroleum Engineering","volume":"104 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141697250","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
