Adopting content analysis and elimination methods that were used for data selection. The paper used secondary data that were collected from print and online publications. The paper identified increment in access to university education, manpower development and production, development of research, community services, creation of employment opportunities and improvement in international ranking as contributions of private universities to the Nigerian economy. Problems of funding, shortage of modern infrastructure facilities, lack of access to funds and government support, low student enrolment, inadequate academic staff and insecurity problems are the problems militating against the development of Private universities in Nigeria. Based on this, the paper hereby recommended that the federal government should establish special intervention financial institutions for private universities across the country where they can secure long and short-term facilities with low interest. Private university managers should utilize their Alumni association to raise more funds and technical support. Private universities should explore the option of public-private partnerships to develop their infrastructure facilities.","PeriodicalId":513779,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Educational and Life Sciences","volume":"40 27","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141410467","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This legal research method uses normative legal research. The approach used is a statutory approach and a conceptual approach. From this research the author found, firstly, that there is disharmony between article 15 paragraph (1) a of Law number 2 of 2014 concerning amendments to Law number 30 of 2004 concerning the Position of Notaries hereinafter abbreviated as UUJN and Law number 5 of 1960 concerning the Basic Regulations on Agrarian Principles, hereinafter abbreviated to UUPA. Where in article 15 paragraph (1) a UUJN which states that Notaries have the authority to make authentic deeds regarding all deeds, agreements and provisions required by statutory regulations and/or which are desired by interested parties to be stated in authentic deeds, this is often a loophole in a acts of legal smuggling carried out by foreigners and Indonesian citizens and often involving notaries in a loan agreement (nominee) related to the sale and purchase of land involving foreigners, which is contrary to UUPA article 21 which states that only Indonesian citizens can have property rights. Due to this conflict of norms, the authority to make deeds of a notary does not apply to all forms of agreements. Secondly, if the notary is proven to have committed an act of legal smuggling, the notary must be responsible for his actions both civilly, administratively and criminally.","PeriodicalId":513779,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Educational and Life Sciences","volume":"64 7","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-05-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141018072","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

There are some scientific literature reporting its antimicrobial, wound healing, hemostatic, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, platelet protective, anticancer, hypoglycemic, hypolipidemic, insecticidal, and anti-anemic properties. This study investigated the phytochemical components and the anti-ulcer (gastric pump inhibition) properties of the ethanolic extract of the plant using GC-MS and in silico molecular docking. The GC-MS results from this study detected thirty (30) retentions with fifty-one (51) library/ID-suggested compounds. The docking of the detected compounds against gastric proton pump for the treatment of ulcer revealed that among the ligands that were docked with the enzyme (H+/K+-ATPase); (3-(Azepan-1-yl)-1,2-benzothiazole 1,1-dioxide) had better binding energy value (high binding energy value) (-8.4kcal/mol) compared to the standard anti-ulcer drug (omeprazole; −8.0 kcal/mol). The strong bonding of 3-(Azepan-1-yl)-1,2 benzothiazole 1,1-dioxide to the receptor suggests that the compound may possess better gastric proton pump inhibitory potential than omeprazole. This result may also validate the traditional use of the plant for gastric ulcer-relieving activity.","PeriodicalId":513779,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Educational and Life Sciences","volume":"3 24","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140410508","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It cannot be seen, although it is present both on land and beneath the water. Any undesired or irritating sound that impacts the health and well-being of humans and other organisms is referred to as noise pollution. It is harmful to human health. According to WHO, more than 70 decibels of sound will be harmful to health. The average noise level in Kathmandu was 66.8 decibels (A), with high-traffic zones producing the most noise, followed by commercial, low-traffic, and residential zones. The main objective of this review paper is to identify the effect of noise pollution on human health. It is a review article. There are different kinds of effects explored in the previous studies such as hearing loss, sleep disruption, cardiovascular disease, social handicaps, reduced productivity, bad social behavior, irritation reactions, absenteeism, and accidents. Noise pollution is a significant problem in Nepal, particularly in Kathmandu. The studies suggest that the enforcement of noise standards and No Horn Regulation can be effective in reducing noise pollution. However, more efforts are needed to monitor and enforce these regulations. Noise pollution can cause a variety of health problems, and it is essential to take measures to reduce it to protect public health.","PeriodicalId":513779,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Educational and Life Sciences","volume":"766 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140416890","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In fulfilling these responsibilities, the Pekanbaru City Regency BAZ has been successful. Therefore, this research aims to determine the growth of zakat collection in the Pekan baru City Regency BAZ during the 2010-2015 period in terms of nominal value, sources and efforts made in zakat collection. To achieve this aim, this research uses a case study. The findings show that the amount of zakat collected during the period increased significantly to a total of more than IDR 34.44 billion. This increase is far above the average that can be achieved globally. In terms of zakat sources, the sources are expanded from professional zakat to other sources, such as trade and services zakat.
