RESEARCH METHODS. The article used such scientific general economic methods as the method of grouping and classification, the method of structural and logical analysis, the graphical and tabular method, etc. PRESENTING MAIN MATERIAL. The integration approach and clustering acquire key features as elements of management of the tourism industry in the conditions of sustainable development, where the integration of various sectors, such as the hotel business, transport, cultural events and others, create a comprehensive and balanced tourism product. Clustering allows combining similar regions or services for joint development. Application of these approaches will improve competitiveness and ensure effective use of tourism potential. An integrative approach to the management and development of the tourism industry can be a powerful tool for creating a holistic and effective environment. This means the joint action of various stakeholders, such as government bodies, local communities, businesses, and even non-profit organizations. Clustering of tourism development contributes to the effective use of resources, increasing competitiveness and creating a sustainable tourist destination. An integrative approach to the management and development of the tourism industry consists in close cooperation of various stakeholders and sectors, as well as in taking into account the interrelationships between various aspects of tourism. Key elements of the integration approach in the tourism industry include: industry integration; local integration; technological integration; cultural integration; sustainability and responsible tourism. The peculiarity of tourist clusters is that they contribute to increasing the attractiveness of the region for tourists, increase the quality and variety of tourist services, and contribute to the growth of the economy and the creation of new jobs. In Ukraine, the concept of an integrative approach to the management and development of the tourism industry is key to creating a sustainable and competitive tourism system.CONCLUSIONS. Because of the study, it was found that the integration approach and clustering could be key elements of effective management of the tourism industry in terms of sustainable development. It has been established that an integrative approach involves cooperation between different stakeholders in the industry to achieve common sustainable development goals, which may include the exchange of information, resources and joint projects. It has been proven that clustering can help to group tourism enterprises and regions according to common characteristics or goals, which contributes to more effective management of resources, development of joint marketing strategies and increased competitiveness. Drawing from a comprehensive examination of the literature and the concept of ‘The A-to-F Model’ by de Bes and Kotler, this paper aims to broaden the knowledge about the research team’s roles and their influence on commercialising their results. To do this, in the empirical part, we use the data from a study of 496 scientists from one of the leading research universities in Poland. The results of the estimated probit regression models showed the inconsistency with ‘The A-to-F Model’. Only two of the six roles, i.e., creator and executor, are essential. The activator, browser, developer, and facilitator were statistically insignificant.","PeriodicalId":510491,"journal":{"name":"Management","volume":" 7","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-04-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140684766","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper aims to illustrate the effectiveness of manufacturing processes management from the Samsung production system (SPS) approach when it was implemented to improve capability of existing production process in Vietnamese firms. The paper is a combination of descriptive and field research to demonstrate how SPS principles are appropriate for five real industry cases in particular and all Vietnamese manufacturing companies in general. In five cases, the usage of SPS-based tools has turned out to be fruitful. They solved problems of continuous improvement management in Vietnamese firms and created significant achievements in quality improvement and productivity increase. The paper investigates the core value of Samsung’s continuous process improvement. The way that Samsung has used to improve quality and profitability simultanously can be adapted by manufacturing companies.","PeriodicalId":510491,"journal":{"name":"Management","volume":" 26","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-03-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140384398","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Another objective is to examine the mutual inflation interconnections and its synchronisation across countries. We use the Minimum Spanning Tree (MST) and cross-correlations (C-C). Based on structural break tests, the period is divided into four periods: January 2001 - December 2008, January 2009 - March 2015, April 2015 - July 2021, August 2021 - April 2023. The results showed that the direction of the inflation transmission is not the same across the periods under study. Before the financial and economic crisis, Estonian inflation influenced Lithuanian inflation, which in turn influenced the Latvian one; while after the crisis (but just before the application of the ECB's quantitative easing) Latvian inflation is already influenced by Bulgarian inflation. Once quantitative easing had already been applied but in times before the ‘high inflation’ period, the inflation in Lithuania has no impact on the Latvian one. During the ‘high inflation’ period, results conclude the impact of Latvian inflation on the Estonian one. We also point out that inflation rates in some states are not always aligned with average inflation in the EU, the EA. Although, MST results showed that inflation is transmitted mainly from the EA average or the EA countries, having a more central position (e.g. Slovakia has generally a more central position than the Czech Republic, Hungary, or Poland). Therefore, countries having common monetary policy are more resistant to external inflation shocks and rather influence the inflation of other countries. Finally, even if inflation rates are synchronised, inflation may be outpaced or lagged by one to several months, which may present policymakers with the question of the appropriate monetary policy stance.","PeriodicalId":510491,"journal":{"name":"Management","volume":"520 2","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140479770","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
