Reassessment of conventional markets and strategies has become critical in sustaining and enhancing competitiveness of these institutions in the global education landscape. This study aims to investigate marketing and recruitment factors, specifically examining their influence on Thai students’ decision to enrol at a regional Australian university. The research approach involved administering a survey of Thai students and recent alumni of regional Australian universities. A principal component analysis (PCA)revealed a multidimensional structure of eight factors. According to the findings, Thai students’ decision to enrol was influenced by agents, post-study migration opportunities and country-specific resources. However, due to the perceived low return on investment and delayed enrolment outcomes, regional universities are not investing sufficiently in Thailand. Implications for marketing and recruitment initiatives are discussed.","PeriodicalId":509244,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Knowledge Learning and Science Technology ISSN: 2959-6386 (online)","volume":"72 14","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139960060","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

What about the rest of the world? Does trade hit each country the same? I estimate the Heterogeneous Treatment Effects of trade openness on the unemployment rate among 180 countries from 1990 to 2020, using the latest trade volume measures and free trade agreements as trade openness measurements. Despite the potential bias of endogeneity problems, I found a strongly significant negative treatment effect for upper-middle income nations (e.g., China and Brazil), a positive effect with small significance for lower middleincome countries (e.g., India and Vietnam), a positive effect with no significance for low-income countries (e.g., African countries like Sudan, Guinea etc.), and a small but mixed effect for high income countries (mostly OECD countries). However, the total number of Free Trade agreements is not a perfect measurement and there are severe endogeneity problems that still need to be untangled in future studies. \u0000 ","PeriodicalId":509244,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Knowledge Learning and Science Technology ISSN: 2959-6386 (online)","volume":"565 ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139836819","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Its primary aim is to enrich customer experience and foster loyalty by employing three distinct, tailored recommendation strategies. Each module is designed to cater to different phases of the customer's e-commerce journey: the first focuses on first-time visitors, the second on users with a purchase history, and the third aids businesses new to e-commerce. The system's comprehensive nature allows it to offer relevant, personalized recommendations, significantly improving customer engagement and retention.","PeriodicalId":509244,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Knowledge Learning and Science Technology ISSN: 2959-6386 (online)","volume":"13 6","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140492080","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Interpretation, a key skill in linguistics, is essential to language understanding and translation; hence, linguistic education must include it. This study analyses how HUIT English linguistics students employ short-term memories to influence their interpretation learning and the relevance of such influences. Quantitative methods examined this complex relationship between short-term memory and interpretive learning. Memory, language proficiency, and simulated interpretation exams were given to many HUIT English linguistics seniors. Correlation studies and regression models were used to determine how short-term memory affects interpretation performance. Current research emphasises short-term memory for comprehension. Students understood more with better short-term memory. This group processed language faster, recalled better, and grasped verbal intricacies. The study also found classroom methods adopted by students with good recall. These findings can help us focus and improve our interpretation skills in sessions. Understanding how important short-term memory is helps teachers help pupils remember and evaluate what they hear. This study enhances interpretation education, which may help meet the global language professional need.","PeriodicalId":509244,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Knowledge Learning and Science Technology ISSN: 2959-6386 (online)","volume":"50 3","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140510255","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
