Ayrıca İslam dininin temizliğe ve özellikle akarsuyla yapılan temizliğe verdiği önem dolayısıyla hamamlarımız toplumsal hayatımızın vazgeçilmez mimari anıtlarının başında gelmektedir. Hamamlar, bütün medeniyetlerde olduğu gibi Anadolu kültüründe de önemli bir yere sahiptir. Hamamlar, genel hamamlar ve özel hamamlar olmak üzere ikiye ayrılmaktadırlar. Genel hamamlar halkın kullandığı, özel hamamlar ise sınırlı sayıda insanlara hizmet eden hamamlardır. Bu çalışmada, Antalya Kaleiçi’ndeki Yivli Minare Külliyesi içerisinde bulunan Yivli Minare (Mevlevihane) Hamamı ele alınmıştır. Özel hamamlar grubu içerisinde yer alan hamamın inşa tarihi tam olarak bilinmemektedir. 2019 yılında Antalya Müzesi tarafından hamamda geniş kapsamlı kazı çalışması yapılmıştır. Kazı çalışmaları sonrasında, hamama ait yeni birimlerin ortaya çıktığı tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca ulaşım, otopark, güvenlik gibi sorunlar ortaya çıkmıştır. Orta ve üst sınıflara yönelik üretilen rezidans yapıları ise bahsedilen sorunları çözme vaadi vermektedir. Ancak 6 Şubat Depremleri’ nde depreme dayanıklı olarak nitelendirilen rezidansların büyük hasar aldığı veya yıkıldığı görülmektedir. Bu tezat durum hem kullanıcıların güvenini sarsmış hem de işini doğru yapanlardan bile şüphe duyulmasına neden olmuştur. Sonucunda, Türkiye’de büyük vaatlerle kullanıcıya sunulan rezidans yapılarının vaat ettiği şartları sağlayamadığı, sismik koruma yöntemleri konusunda hukuki yetersizliğin bulunduğu, proje müelliflerinin, yapı uygulayıcılarının ve denetçilerinin meslek etiği hususunda daha çok bilgi sahibi olması gerektiği ve bir mimari projenin sorumlusu olan mimarın deprem ve depremden korunma hakkında asıl bilgi sahibi kişi olması gerektiği saptanmıştır. Bu yapı türlerinin dini işlevinin yanında simgesel ve politik niteliği ile kamusal alan özelliğinde olması farklı işlevlerde kullanımına olanak sağlamaktadır. Özellikle yakın tarihte ülkemizde gerçekleşen 6 Şubat 2023 Kahramanmaraş merkezli depremlerden sonra ayakta kalabilen kültür varlıklarının acil durumlarda afetzedeler için barınma amaçlı kullanımı önem kazanmıştır. Bu çalışmada, Osmanlı mimarisinde sıkça karşımıza çıkan ve Anadolu’nun birçok yerinde örneğine rastlanan tabhaneli camiler ele alınmıştır. Çalışma kapsamında bu yapıların plan şemaları üzerinden elde edilen çıkarımlarla acil durumlarda kullanım potansiyelleri değerlendirilmiştir. Temporary emergency structures, tents or containers, are used continuously until the reconstruction of the basic needs after the earthquake disaster. However today, with innovative structures, various systems that can offer more advantageous solutions to the needs of disaster victims can be proposed. In this study, the use of pneumatic (inflatable) structures for earthquake disasters is discussed. Since it is system that relatively little known and has wide variety of structural features, it is aimed to develop holistic fictional model that includes the process for making the most appropriate selection. This dialogue, in turn, takes place through language and reveals a narrative. Within the architectural design, this language is established through (architectural) representation/ drawing. However, architectural drawing possesses symbolic and semantic layers akin to any language. This study focuses on these layers through “ekphrasis”, which is based on the relationship between visual and verbal representation, and asks: “How does ekphrasis as a method relate to the meaning of architectural drawing, and how does it find a place for itself in the architectural narrative?” In this study, the text-meaning-drawing relationship is examined using the deconstruction method and case study techniques. Therefore, a drawing workshop was conducted utilizing Homer’s Iliad, as it was the first ekphrastic text. Since workers' well-being and satisfaction are crucial to effective workforce management, organizations and authorities make the employee's well-being and satisfaction the primary target to be achieved even in the post-pandemic period. Many countries and organizations have developed strategies to meet the emerging requirements of the business world. Like other countries, many of the workgroups in Türkiye were also forced to adopt working-from-home (WFH) practices. Although a substantial number of research studies were conducted for investigating well-being and productivity, there is still a need for empirical studies investigating WFH satisfaction and the well-being of workers to be used as a reference and guide for research. A survey was designed and implemented among employees from Türkiye to inspect and measure negative and positive relations between the physical work environment, well-being, and satisfaction of WFH workers. This study aims to determine whether the expectations of the residents living in the new settlement areas built by public institutions in Kalecik village of Tercan district in Erzincan province are met and to assess their satisfaction. In this context, a literature review was conducted, and new settlement areas and residences were examined through on-site observation. Face-to-face surveys were also conducted. The findings indicate that most users have made changes to their homes by adding structures such as oven houses and barns, enclosing open spaces like balconies, and preferring reinforced concrete construction systems. Bu çalışmada, 6 Şubat 2023 tarihinde Kahramanmaraş merkezli yaşanan depremler sonrasında geçici barınma alanı olarak kullanılan Kahramanmaraş ilinde bulunan Batıpark Spor Kompleksi ve Gaziantep ili Nurdağı ilçesinde bulunan Vali Mehmet Lütfullah Bilgin Spor Salonu’nun deprem sonrası mekânsal kullanımı iki örnek özelinde ele alınmakta ve spor komplekslerinin potansiyellerinin ortaya konulması amaçlanmaktadır. As a result of the literature review, we examined the following topics in this study: The structure of tree roots, the effects of tree roots on the soil, the risks that trees might create in structures, the methods for minimizing these risks, and finally the criteria to be taken into account when selecting the plant species nearby buildings. As a result of the literature review, we conclude that if the plant species selected are incompatible with the area, the structures might be damaged. Accordingly, we suggest potential solutions to prevent this damage. Furthermore, we examine factors to be considered when selecting plant species and the species we recommend not to prefer. Nevşehir Pozzolan, which is produced as waste during the stone-cutting process, was used as an aluminosilicate source. The effect of alkali activator type, concentration, activator ratio, and sand-to-corn cob ratio on the properties was experimentally investigated. Study results revealed that waste Nevşehir Pozzolan was a suitable aluminosilicate for the production of geopolymer mortar. The optimum activator type, concentration, and activator ratios were sodium hydroxide with sodium silicate, 10 M, and 2.0, respectively, because they ensured the highest mechanical properties.
