The Juliet deposit is characterized with an irregular shape and varying dips and strikes. In some cases, it consists of isolated and mutually remote deposits with different mining and geological characteristics. These features of the deposit dictate the use of complex schemes for the development and mining of the deep-lying layers, which results in formation of a very extensive and branched network of underground workings. The specific features in the development of the Juliet deposit include the fact that a large number of mining blocks are in operation at the same time, and extraction of these block can be carried out using different mining systems. Intensive removal of dust and gases can be ensured only when a sufficiently large amount of air is supplied to the mine and the individual working faces. In order to overcome the overall air drag in the mine, it is necessary to use high-performance and high-pressure fans that would consume enormous power.","PeriodicalId":506182,"journal":{"name":"Mining Industry Journal (Gornay Promishlennost)","volume":"25 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139159525","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To increase it, it is necessary to minimize negatively influencing factors and optimize the operation of the excavator-automobile complexes. The possibility of this is confirmed by the information available in the scientific and technical literature on record productivity indicators established at mining and processing plants and open-pit mines during full-scale experiments. The choice of excavator-automobile complexes is a relevant and important task at the design stage of new enterprises, or justification of the optimal parameters of the loading and hauling equipment in conditions when the existing quarries are going deeper or expanding and the productivity of mining and processing plants is increasing, as well as for comparing various technological options for the development of deposits. One way to solve this issue may be computer simulation of the functioning of both the individual elements (excavators, dump trucks, excavatorautomobile complexes, etc.) and the quarry transport system as a whole. The Institute of Mining of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences has developed the In-Pit Transport System software suite, aimed, among other things, at solving these problems.","PeriodicalId":506182,"journal":{"name":"Mining Industry Journal (Gornay Promishlennost)","volume":"31 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139159294","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to assess the impact of the company’s activities on the social and economic development of the region and determine the development risks, data from official statistical sources, government authorities, the company itself and other available information were collected and analyzed. The history of creation, the current state and activities of the company are presented. It is shown that, despite the existing objective difficulties, it was possible to attract significant investments into the economy of the republic to create this enterprise (more than 28,382 million rubles), the company is operating successfully. For the period from 2014–2022 the company paid taxes to the budget of the republic in the total amount of 3.6 billion rubles. The number of employees reached 1,072 people in 2022, net profit was received in the amount of 7.3 billion rubles. It is concluded that the production activities of Lunsin LLC show significant positive efficiency for the social and economic development of the region and, along with the successful development of the richest Kyzyl-Tashtyg polymetallic ore deposit, there are certain development risks associated with the issues of preserving the unique environment of the upper reaches of the Greater Yenisei, i.e. Biy- Hema. Algorithms and software tools for the module of automated planning of surface mining operations have been developed as part of the task to enhance the efficiency of short-term planning in the MINEFRAME mining and geological information system. This module allows to make a comparative analysis of the selected structure of complex mechanization, as well as to optimize the operation of the in-pit transport based on simulation modeling of technological processes in surface mining. The module for planning of surface mining operations increases efficiency, timeliness and accuracy of planning based on input data and limitations that characterize the operation of the enterprise. Selection of the optimal structure for complex mechanization is made based on the analysis of the received reporting data of each planning scenario according to the performance indicators of the machinery and equipment. This approach fully corresponds to the trends of digital transformation declared by the government of the Russian Federation and represents a new stage of automation and informatization of economic activities and transition to digital technologies.","PeriodicalId":506182,"journal":{"name":"Mining Industry Journal (Gornay Promishlennost)","volume":"61 9","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139169824","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Values have been determined for the lateral losses in the ridges between the drill haulage workings and the frontal losses in the ridges on the floor of the drill haulage workings, as well as in the mined-out space due to mixing with diluting rocks to substandard ore grades when ore is drawn from the blocks. The amount of additional recovery of losses was determined when drawing ore from the underlying and adjacent panels of the block. The resulting planograms of ore drawing from the panels and sections of the block were formed as part of the research, which reflect the weight of the drawn ore mass, its grade, and the weight of diluting rocks in the doses of drawing. All of this makes it possible to establish the ore loss and dilution rates for each mining unit of an underground mine, i.e. a panel, a section, a block or a level with due account of the main design parameters of the mining system, as well as the mining, geological, engineering and economic conditions of underground mining.","PeriodicalId":506182,"journal":{"name":"Mining Industry Journal (Gornay Promishlennost)","volume":"9 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139168642","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Automation of such tasks is important in terms of reducing the time of image processing and obtaining additional information on the geomechanical state of the rock mass. The article discusses the possibilities of using computer vision and artificial intelligence technologies to assess jointing of the rock mass. For this purpose, aerial photography data obtained using unmanned aerial vehicles are used. The images are processed with the software developed by the authors, which performs tracing of the joints based on a neural network of a dedicated architecture. The results of processing aerial photography data are presented using the cases of coal strip mines in Kuzbass and open-pit mines of the Kola Peninsula. The use of neural network in processing of the aerial survey data of the rock masses has shown the promising potential of the method. After processing the data of tracing the jointing fields, it becomes possible to monitor the behavior of the rock mass by using the visualization tools for additional fields of characteristics, which allow to assess the nature of changes occurring under anthropogenic loads. The developed algorithms make it possible to significantly accelerate the processes of aerial survey data processing to assess the structural disturbance of the rock mass.","PeriodicalId":506182,"journal":{"name":"Mining Industry Journal (Gornay Promishlennost)","volume":"28 9","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139169100","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An aerothermodynamic model of the atmosphere was used, in which the equations of dynamics in the approximation of incompressible fluid were supplemented with the heat transfer equation, and the buoyancy and background stratification mechanisms were taken into account. The model was created in a general-purpose COMSOL software package and makes it possible to study aerothermogasodynamics of the atmosphere in its various states. A two-dimensional CFD-model of the open pit atmosphere was tested using the recirculation ventilation process. The background stratification parameter (from 0.0 to +0.025 °С/m with the increment of 0.005 °С/m) and the quarry depth from 300 to 700 m were variated. The wind velocity of 1 m/s at the upper side of the pit, the initial location of the dust and gas cloud (in the center of the pit near its floor) and the slope angle of the pit wall of 45° were recorded. A significant increase in the time of natural ventilation of the open pit is demonstrated at intensifying inversion of the atmosphere. Two formation types of the maximum pollution area with the increasing pit depth are predicted: (1) displacement from the center to the lee side of the pit at neutral stratification; and (2) position in the center of the pit near its floor at positive background stratification. It is shown that increasing of both the pit depth and the background stratification parameter leads to a noticeable increase in the time to reach the maximum concentration at the upper side of the pit and a decrease in the value of this maximum. For the recirculation ventilation scheme, intensification of inversion in the atmosphere increases the time of natural ventilation, but reduces the level of atmospheric contamination at the upper side of the pit downstream.","PeriodicalId":506182,"journal":{"name":"Mining Industry Journal (Gornay Promishlennost)","volume":"4 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139168941","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Chinakal, Siberian Branch, Russian Academy of Sciences, in the interests of industrial partners. A scheme of managing geomechanical monitoring is given, which provides verification and adaptation of the geomechanical model to the changing conditions of the mined deposit. The results of determining the stress-and-strain state of the rock mass at the Aikhal mine and assessing the state of the ore ceiling are presented. With the use of numerical geomechanical models, a geomechanical justification is made for application of the technology with backfilling of the minedout space. The impossibility of using the mining systems based on caving is demonstrated when extracting the pit reserves of polymetallic mineral deposit. Using the apatite-nepheline deposits of the Khibiny massif as an example, it is demonstrated that the dynamics of the energy index and cumulative apparent volume parameters reflects the processes of stress changes in the rock mass, including the time after the blast impact. Boundaries of the study area in the rock mass overhang at the Kukisvumchorr and Yukspor fields were determined to exclude seismicity data corresponding to the areas of active mining operations. Periods were identified that characterize the stable state of the rock mass, when the overhang rocks do not cave, as well as the periods when the process of fracturing and caving of the overhang rocks starts actively. It was found that temporal variations in the apparent volume and energy index can be used to assess the state of the rock mass and the potential fragmentation danger of its parts. The dynamics of these parameters for a certain volume of rocks reflects the phases of loading and strength degradation. The survey results were obtained in the most general form and for large volume sections of the rock mass, despite the fact that they correlate well with the data on actual caving of the undermined rock strata.","PeriodicalId":506182,"journal":{"name":"Mining Industry Journal (Gornay Promishlennost)","volume":"21 3","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139169584","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
