When they are mixed, coal-gas mixtures are formed, predisposed to various hazardous and extremely hazardous gas-dynamic phenomena, primarily to sudden emissions, accompanied by formation of cavities in the coal massif and intensive release of coal-gas mixtures from these cavities into the mine workings. The article deals with the problem of a one-dimensional stationary flow of a gas-coal mixture in an underground cone-shaped cavity formed during a sudden release. The Euler equation of motion and the continuity equation are used as the basic equations. As a result of their transformation, an ordinary differential equation of the first order is obtained, for which the Cauchy problem is formulated. The solution to the Cauchy problem is a transcendental equation with respect to the desired Mach numbers. The roots of the transcendental equation are calculated using the MathCAD mathematical software suite. Upon finding the Mach numbers, the remaining parameters of the mixture are determined, i.e. the pressure, density and temperature of the gas-coal mixture at any point in the conical region, including their critical values. Graphs are constructed that were used as the basis to establish some regularities of the one-dimensional stationary flow of a gascoal mixture in a conical region. The Juliet deposit is characterized with an irregular shape and varying dips and strikes. In some cases, it consists of isolated and mutually remote deposits with different mining and geological characteristics. These features of the deposit dictate the use of complex schemes for the development and mining of the deep-lying layers, which results in formation of a very extensive and branched network of underground workings. The specific features in the development of the Juliet deposit include the fact that a large number of mining blocks are in operation at the same time, and extraction of these block can be carried out using different mining systems. Intensive removal of dust and gases can be ensured only when a sufficiently large amount of air is supplied to the mine and the individual working faces. Algorithms and software tools for the module of automated planning of surface mining operations have been developed as part of the task to enhance the efficiency of short-term planning in the MINEFRAME mining and geological information system. This module allows to make a comparative analysis of the selected structure of complex mechanization, as well as to optimize the operation of the in-pit transport based on simulation modeling of technological processes in surface mining. The module for planning of surface mining operations increases efficiency, timeliness and accuracy of planning based on input data and limitations that characterize the operation of the enterprise. Selection of the optimal structure for complex mechanization is made based on the analysis of the received reporting data of each planning scenario according to the performance indicators of the machinery and equipment. An aerothermodynamic model of the atmosphere was used, in which the equations of dynamics in the approximation of incompressible fluid were supplemented with the heat transfer equation, and the buoyancy and background stratification mechanisms were taken into account. The model was created in a general-purpose COMSOL software package and makes it possible to study aerothermogasodynamics of the atmosphere in its various states. A two-dimensional CFD-model of the open pit atmosphere was tested using the recirculation ventilation process. The background stratification parameter (from 0.0 to +0.025 °С/m with the increment of 0.005 °С/m) and the quarry depth from 300 to 700 m were variated. The wind velocity of 1 m/s at the upper side of the pit, the initial location of the dust and gas cloud (in the center of the pit near its floor) and the slope angle of the pit wall of 45° were recorded. A significant increase in the time of natural ventilation of the open pit is demonstrated at intensifying inversion of the atmosphere. Two formation types of the maximum pollution area with the increasing pit depth are predicted: (1) displacement from the center to the lee side of the pit at neutral stratification; and (2) position in the center of the pit near its floor at positive background stratification. It is shown that increasing of both the pit depth and the background stratification parameter leads to a noticeable increase in the time to reach the maximum concentration at the upper side of the pit and a decrease in the value of this maximum. A scheme of managing geomechanical monitoring is given, which provides verification and adaptation of the geomechanical model to the changing conditions of the mined deposit. The results of determining the stress-and-strain state of the rock mass at the Aikhal mine and assessing the state of the ore ceiling are presented. With the use of numerical geomechanical models, a geomechanical justification is made for application of the technology with backfilling of the minedout space. The impossibility of using the mining systems based on caving is demonstrated when extracting the pit reserves of polymetallic mineral deposit. Using the apatite-nepheline deposits of the Khibiny massif as an example, it is demonstrated that the dynamics of the energy index and cumulative apparent volume parameters reflects the processes of stress changes in the rock mass, including the time after the blast impact. Boundaries of the study area in the rock mass overhang at the Kukisvumchorr and Yukspor fields were determined to exclude seismicity data corresponding to the areas of active mining operations. Periods were identified that characterize the stable state of the rock mass, when the overhang rocks do not cave, as well as the periods when the process of fracturing and caving of the overhang rocks starts actively. It was found that temporal variations in the apparent volume and energy index can be used to assess the state of the rock mass and the potential fragmentation danger of its parts. The dynamics of these parameters for a certain volume of rocks reflects the phases of loading and strength degradation. The development of approaches to studying magnetic interaction of fine particles is of scientific and practical importance and is associated with the complexity of calculating the superposition of their fields when solving the problem of controlling the magnetic properties of a suspension. A computer model of the dynamics of magnetic particle interaction was developed with account for their aggregation under the impact of the magnetic dipole-dipole interaction and the destruction of aggregates during thermal (Brownian) motion in order to predict the magnetic properties of the suspension using the example of magnetite deposits of the Zaimandrovsky iron ore region. The calculation shows that the electrostatic and dispersion interactions do not have a significant effect on the interaction dynamics of micron and submicron particles of magnetite with account of the experimentally measured zeta potential and the Hamaker's constant. A procedure has been developed for calibrating a computer model of the interaction dynamics of magnetic particles using the temperature dependence of the coefficient of translational diffusion of magnetite particles and the concentration dependence of the magnetic susceptibility of a suspension. An array of calculated values of the diffusion coefficient of the model particles and the initial magnetic susceptibility of their system is formed in a wide range of computer model parameters. A procedure has been developed for linking the calculated and experimental data by varying the normalization parameters of the particle size, viscosity of the medium, and thermal energy in order to minimize the maximum discrepancy between the values. The necessity is established of taking into account the change in magnetic properties with a decrease in the size of magnetite particles during the calibration of the magnetic susceptibility of a model system. The developed methodological approach ensures good convergence of the calculated and experimental data and makes it possible to visualize the aggregation of the model particles as the result of dipole-dipole interactions. The relevance of the problem of preserving a sustainable state of the biosphere continually increases as its productivity declines amidst the growth of georesource production and consumption, highlighting the need for the restoration of natural ecosystems in light of the modern understanding of their role in ensuring sustainable development of civilization. Based on the study of self-organizing nature of soils at the Mining Institute of the Kola Science Centre of the Russian Academy of Sciences, a methodology and technology for restoring disrupted natural ecosystems in the exploitation of georesources has been justified and developed in accordance with the principle of their self-organization, through the creation of a biologically active environment. The formation of a biologically active environment through the establishment of seeded cereal phytocenosis without the application of a fertile layer represents an eco-investment approach, aimed at increasing the energy potential of the system-forming biota function to accelerate the restoration process of natural ecosystems. The large areas of disturbed land in the mining industry and the multifactorial impact of industrial enterprises on the natural environment determine the relevance of an integrated assessment of the dynamics of natural ecosystem restoration based on terrestrial and satellite data. The information support for monitoring the restoration of natural ecosystems disrupted by the exploitation of georesources includes data on the stages of biological organization of the rock: the state of disturbed land and the resource potential of their self-restoration, the terrestrial study of organic matter accumulation dynamics, genetic parameters, and functional indicators of developing soils, geobotanical descriptions of the forming phytocenosis in the forest stage of successional seeded cereal phytocenosis without the application of a fertile layer, and morphophysiological characteristics of dominant plants in the surrounding natural environment in the forming phytocenosis.
