This study aims to identify the strategies and steps the Head of the study program took in utilizing technology to digitalize Arabic language learning. This research methodology uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews with the Head of the study program and participatory observation of the digitalization efforts made. The results obtained from the research show that there are three stages of digitalization efforts. First, the collaboration between Arabic Language Education lecturers is planned to revise the curriculum and upgrade semester implementation plans. Second, implementation should be done using interactive Arabic learning models and technology-based learning media. Third, monitoring the learning process between lecturers and students, student learning progress, reviewing the results of midterm and final semester exams and facilitating communication between lecturers and students regarding learning problems. Hopefully, this research can provide recommendations for other educational institutions in optimizing Arabic language learning management.","PeriodicalId":505144,"journal":{"name":"Al-Ta'rib : Jurnal Ilmiah Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Arab IAIN Palangka Raya","volume":"65 11","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-06-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141387760","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The research employs library research with a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection involves documentation, with primary sources including an article by Baroroh et al., entitled \"Arabic Learning Based on a Communicative Approach in Non-Pesantren Schools,\" and secondary sources being books and scientific articles relevant to the study. Data analysis follows Milles and Huberman's theory, including data reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. The study identifies several steps in Mahārah Kalām learning using the Mubāsyarah method with the Iṭṭiṣāli approach: introduction, presentation of short dialogue formats by teachers, student writing of short dialogues, practice of dialogues, questioning, teacher reading of student dialogues, and evaluation. Advantages of this method include improved speaking skills, expanded vocabulary, pronunciation closer to native speakers, and the ability to analogize with other topics. However, its disadvantages include suitability only for small groups, the need for teachers to speak like natives, reliance on teachers to prepare materials, avoidance of the mother tongue, difficulty in identifying teacher mistakes, and the flawed theoretical basis equating mother tongue acquisition with foreign language learning. The research implies that the Mubāsyarah method is not the sole method for teaching Arabic speaking skills.","PeriodicalId":505144,"journal":{"name":"Al-Ta'rib : Jurnal Ilmiah Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Arab IAIN Palangka Raya","volume":"253 6‐8","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-06-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141386652","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study aims to apply the singing method as an innovative approach to learning Arabic vocabulary, in order to determine its impact on students' mastery of Arabic vocabulary in terms of pronunciation, fluency, and memorization. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive data presentation method. Data collection techniques include observation and interviews regarding the application of the singing method. Data analysis techniques using the Miles and Huberman Model involve data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing, and verification. The results of this study conclude that teachers create positive resonances, stimuli, and affirmations to foster student comfort, confidence, and engagement in the classroom. Teachers then provide examples and repetitions of Arabic vocabulary songs they have created. Singing Arabic vocabulary, accompanied by music, initially engages even the least enthusiastic students. Students who initially lack confidence become more assured and dedicated, leading to improved fluency in pronouncing Arabic vocabulary.","PeriodicalId":505144,"journal":{"name":"Al-Ta'rib : Jurnal Ilmiah Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Arab IAIN Palangka Raya","volume":"89 9","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-06-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141389556","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Due to the lack of active participation, students' proficiency in Arabic language learning, particularly in speaking skills (maharah kalam), falls below the required educational benchmarks. This research uses a quasi-experimental approach to assess the effectiveness of two different learning media: Plotagon for Tenth-grade students of IPS 1 and digital comics for Tenth-grade students of IPS 2 in improving Arabic speaking skills. The research findings indicate that students who used Plotagon as a learning tool to enhance their speaking skills achieved significantly better learning outcomes on average compared to students who used digital comics for the same purpose. Additionally, this study found that students who utilized Plotagon for learning exhibited higher engagement levels than those who used digital comics. These findings highlight the significance of active engagement in learning Arabic and indicate that Plotagon animation can be a valuable tool for enhancing learning outcomes and student engagement.","PeriodicalId":505144,"journal":{"name":"Al-Ta'rib : Jurnal Ilmiah Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Arab IAIN Palangka Raya","volume":"101 10","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-06-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141389221","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
