{"title":"Evaluation of Financial Performance of BIST Sustainability 25 Index Companies within the Framework of SDGs Reporting with TOPSIS Approach","authors":"Selin Coşkun","doi":"10.17153/oguiibf.1312831","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.17153/oguiibf.1312831","url":null,"abstract":"The purpose of this study is to reveal the alteration in the financial performances of the companies in the BIST Sustainability 25 Index between the years 2010-2022, within or without SDG disclosures applying the TOPSIS ranking approach. The research was carried out with a basis of ratio analysis and frequency method. The financial performance of companies was determined with the TOPSIS approach. Concerning the determination of the level of SDGs by companies, the integrated (annual, operational) and sustainability reports of the companies were subjected to content analysis, and the presence of the indicators was obtained to identify the UN’s SDGs. The highest financial performance obtained from the findings is the banks (AKBNK, TSKB, ISCTR) operating in the financial sector. According to the findings, there is an asymmetric cointegration relationship between the variables, but this relationship is not symmetrical. Inflation is the most remarkable indicator of the exchange rate. While all variables have asymmetric effects in the long run, only exports have asymmetric effects in the short run. The effect of export increases on the exchange rate is more dominant than decreases. Positive shocks between Türkiye and the US interest rate decrease the nominal exchange rate. It also examines the effects of brand love's behavioural outputs on repurchase intention and willingness to pay premium price (WTP). The research focused on understanding the processes that shape brand love among consumers who experience the brand positively. As a result of the research conducted on Apple smartphone users, it has been observed that when BD is low, medium, and high, the BE further increases its impact on BL. It has been determined that BP and BC have an effect size close to the median (K2). Bu dönemde reformların kapsamı askeri alanı aşarak doğrudan idari yapıyı etkilemiştir. Özellikle Hariciye Nezaretinin kurulduğu 1836 yılından 1871 yılına kadar hariciye kadroları reform süreçlerinde etkin bir rol üstlenmiştir. Dolayısıyla Hariciye Nezareti, reformların İmparatorluğa aktarıldığı bir köprü fonksiyonu kazanmıştır. Bu çalışmada ilgili dönemde hariciye nezareti personelinin idari, adli, mali, iktisadi, eğitim ve askeri alanlarda yapılan reformlar üzerindeki izleri incelenmiştir. Data were collected from 258 companies in the textile industry in Turkey by survey method. The data were analyzed with the SmartPLS analysis program. Bu araştırmanın temel amacı, farklı sektörlerin bünyesinde var olan tedarikçi bağlılığının değerlendirilmesidir. Bu araştırmada sektörlerin bünyesinde yer alan tedarikçi bağlılığının değerlendirilmesi için DEMATEL ve MAUT yöntemleri kullanılmıştır. Bu amaçla ilk olarak uzman görüşleri ve ilgili literatür araştırması doğrultusunda tedarikçi bağlılığını etkileyen faktörler belirlenmiştir. Faktörlerin belirlenmesinin ardından tedarikçi bağlılığını etkileyen faktörler DEMATEL yöntemiyle önceliklendirilmiştir. Faktör önceliklerinin belirlenmesinin ardından MAUT yöntemiyle sektörlerin tedarikçi bağlılığı değerlendirilmiştir. Son olarak senaryo analizi gerçekleştirilerek araştırmanın sonuçlarında meydana gelebilecek değişimler incelenmiştir. Gerçekleştirilen analizin sonuçları, “Maliyetler”in tedarikçi bağlılığında en önemli faktör olduğunu göstermiştir. Accordingly, in the application part of the study, with the data obtained from the World Economic Forum (WEF), the World Bank (WB), the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and the World Health Organization (WHO) databases, a panel data set was established for 18 OECD countries for which healthy data could be reached for the period of 2004-2018. As a result of the analysis, a causality relationship was determined between each variable representing education and health as the basic elements of human capital and the global competition for short term. The climate policy uncertainty index used to measure climate policy uncertainty in the study was obtained from Gavriilidis (2021), and data on other variables were obtained from “the World Bank” and “Our World in Data” databases. The study's findings show a positive and statistically significant relationship between climate policy uncertainty and inflation in the USA in the period under review. Also, carbon emissions and GDP positively affect inflation, and the coefficients are statistically significant. Ankara’da yaşayan 399 katılımcıdan anket uygulaması ile toplanan veriler yapısal eşitlik modellemesi ile analiz edilmiştir. Analiz sonuçlarında imaj engeli dışındaki İnovasyon Direnç Teorisi faktörlerinin MMA hizmetlerini kullanım niyeti üzerinde negatif etkiye sahip olduğu bulunmuştur.
