Gender-based participation in economic activities brings the equitable distribution of wealth and socio-economic well-being, which helps achieve several sustainable development goals. Despite several policy initiatives, women entrepreneurs undergo social and cultural constraints, particularly in accessing financial services for business engagements and enhancements. Using the 77th household-level All India Debt and Investment Survey 2019 data, the study investigates the impact of financial inclusion on women entrepreneur and their livelihood in rural India. The study also captured the heterogenous effect of gender difference and other socio-economic aspects by including interaction effect, to understand the heterogeneity effect in the model. The findings suggest that uses to financial instruments encouraged female household heads to engage in self-employment. The study also iterates the importance of credit from formal and informal sources towards promoting entrepreneurial activity.","PeriodicalId":503812,"journal":{"name":"Vision: The Journal of Business Perspective","volume":"4 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139235013","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is assumed to include an investment decision-making process by directing capital towards sustainable investment and monitoring climate change under its core agendas. The study on sustainable finance is much diversified. There is no definition of sustainable finance which is applicable universally. The governments, financial institutions and several international organizations have considered framing a definition according to their approach and applicability. This article reviews the study conducted on the topic ‘sustainable finance’ to answer the question related to the meaning of sustainable finance and the areas covered under it. The study aims to explore the vast database of Scopus and Web of Science for the specified duration of 2002–22. The study tries to close the gap present in a diversification and interpretation of sustainable finance meaning, and it further draws the attention of the people concerned globally towards this less explored subject under the sustainability goal. There is abundant research undertaken in the various areas related to sustainability but very little in sustainable finance. The subject is majorly understood under the corporate governance spectrum despite having its relation with many other factors and also its individual impact on the industry growth, thus demanding a thorough review of the topic.","PeriodicalId":503812,"journal":{"name":"Vision: The Journal of Business Perspective","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139235478","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Also, it investigates the influence of financial inclusion through PMJDY on the socioeconomic status of marginalized people. Primary data were collected from 393 marginalized people of Himachal Pradesh. This study presents new insights by analysing the demand-side perspective of marginalized people using structural equation modelling approach. The study identified outreach, quality of financial services, usage and accessibility as statistically significant determinants in the PMJDY scheme for financial inclusion. Further, results confirm that financial inclusion promoted by PMJDY substantially improves the socioeconomic status of marginalized people. The study links financial inclusion and the socioeconomic wellness of beneficiaries, with income serving as a moderator; this is the research’s unique contribution to reducing financial exclusion. The research findings have implications for policymakers and financial institutions in formulating effective strategies to attain comprehensive financial inclusion, which can contribute to a strong socioeconomic development of marginalized people through PMJDY.","PeriodicalId":503812,"journal":{"name":"Vision: The Journal of Business Perspective","volume":"33 2","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139249349","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study used the descriptive phenomenological method to understand how actors in the food value chain develop trust in a business environment where one cannot enforce the contract. In general, the study identifies three dimensions of trust in the food manufacturer–distributor relationship in Tanzania, namely, the use of personal relationship, social gathering and trade credit. The article shows the implication of the study to managers and policy and areas for further research were provided.","PeriodicalId":503812,"journal":{"name":"Vision: The Journal of Business Perspective","volume":"3 ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139256364","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The current study employs Hsieh and Klenow model (2009) and Stochastic Frontier Analysis to measure the distortion in input misallocation and firm productivity, respectively. The study’s major findings suggest a distortion of resources in capital and labour, but the extent of misallocation is more significant in the case of capital. Financial constraint significantly affects the marginal productivity of capital and labour and firms’ total factor productivity. Investment climate conditions such as red tape and harmful competition are critical to achieving the productivity gap of capital. Further, red tape in the system adversely affects the efficiency and productivity of firms. Hence, in addition to access to finance, focus on investment climate conditions such as red tape and harmful competition should be given while framing policies to support Small and Medium Enterprises in India.","PeriodicalId":503812,"journal":{"name":"Vision: The Journal of Business Perspective","volume":"19 4","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139255257","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Daily closing values are used from 1st January 2015 to 15th July 2022. The study employs ARDL and VAR-Granger causality model to examine long-run association and cause-effect relation, respectively. Moreover, the Bivariate EGARCH model is also used to analyse return and asymmetric volatility spillover between two indices. The analysis reveals no evidence of co-integration between sustainable and conventional indices. However, bidirectional causality exists in all countries except the United Kingdom (UK) and United Arab Emirates (UAE). The return spillover result exhibits that return of the conventional index of Japan and Brazil are negatively affected by changes in its sustainable index. The EGARCH results reveal the bidirectional volatility spillover in all the markets. The volatility shocks from the sustainable index of the United States of America (USA) and China have an asymmetric effect on the conventional indices of these countries. Further, positive asymmetric spillover was observed between the sustainable and conventional indices of Brazil and UK. The knowledge of linkage and asymmetric volatility spillover will assist the investors in portfolio management and formulating hedging strategies during financial and economic adversities.","PeriodicalId":503812,"journal":{"name":"Vision: The Journal of Business Perspective","volume":"23 8","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139256169","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The indicators were selected based on the literature review and exploratory interview, and in consultation with the experts of the funding agencies (mainly banks) to cover behavioural biases of the rural women micro-entrepreneurs. In order to design the scale, SEM AMOS 26 software along with SPSS 26 was used for data analysis. Reliability score and exploratory factor analysis were conducted with the help of SPSS 26 software. Overconfidence of the rural women micro-entrepreneurs negatively influenced their financial decisions. Rural women micro-entrepreneurs were found to be better financial decision-makers as past loss from their financial decisions did not deter them from taking risk. The loss aversion bias did not influence the financial decisions of the rural women micro-entrepreneur. However, the regret aversion bias and the anchoring bias positively influence their financial decisions, depicting the impact of behavioural biases on their financial decisions. The present study can be further extended to identify the impact of moderating and mediation variables. The impact of other emotional and cognitive behavioural biases on the financial decisions of the rural women micro-entrepreneurs can also be considered. The understanding of impact and the effect of behavioural biases on financial decisions of rural women micro-entrepreneurs will help to identify the rationale behind financial decision-making of the rural women micro-entrepreneurs. Most of rural women micro-entrepreneur has to deal with decisions related to finance. The confidence with which they handle their money is a reflection on how confidently they can handle their business. The present study attempts to design and validate a comprehensive behavioural bias scale influencing financial decisions of the rural women micro-entrepreneurs. To the best of the knowledge of the author, almost no studies have focused adequately to explore the influence of behavioural biases on the financial decisions of women micro-entrepreneurs. Thus, the aim of this research is to understand the influence of behavioural biases on the financial decisions of rural women micro-entrepreneurs and design a robust and comprehensive scale.","PeriodicalId":503812,"journal":{"name":"Vision: The Journal of Business Perspective","volume":"15 6","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139260058","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
