While these models offer robust reconstruction guarantees,\u0000they are computationally expensive and impractical for real-world scenarios. In\u0000contrast, Fourier-based models, common in applications such as ptychography and\u0000coded diffraction imaging, are computationally more efficient but lack the\u0000theoretical guarantees of random models. Here, we introduce structured random\u0000models for phase retrieval that combine the efficiency of fast Fourier\u0000transforms with the versatility of random diagonal matrices. These models\u0000emulate i.i.d. random matrices at a fraction of the computational cost. Our\u0000approach demonstrates robust reconstructions comparable to fully random models\u0000using gradient descent and spectral methods. Furthermore, we establish that a\u0000minimum of two structured layers is necessary to achieve these\u0000structured-random properties. The proposed method is suitable for optical\u0000implementation and offers an efficient and robust alternative for phase\u0000retrieval in practical imaging applications.

This multi-distance approach significantly limits temporal\u0000resolution, making it impractical for operando studies. Moreover, shifting the\u0000sample complicates reconstruction, requiring precise alignment and\u0000interpolation to correct for shift-dependent magnification on the detector. In\u0000response, we propose and validate through simulations a novel single-distance\u0000approach that leverages coded apertures to structure beam illumination while\u0000the sample rotates. The TMOKE amplitude can be tailored by manipulating the\u0000perturbation parameter, and it can reach as high as 1.978, approaching the\u0000theoretical maximum value of 2. Additionally, a single-mode temporal\u0000coupled-mode theory is employed to further reveal the underlying physical\u0000mechanism. It is found that TMOKE is strongly related to the line width of the\u0000quasi-BIC resonance and local field enhancement, which are pivotal factors in\u0000the design and optimization of photonic devices. As a potential application, we\u0000design and numerically demonstrate a refractive index sensor based on the\u0000resonantly enhanced TMOKE, with the optimal sensitivity of 110.66 nm/RIU and\u0000the corresponding maximum figure of merit of 299.3 RIU$^{-1}$. Our work\u0000provides a simple and efficient approach for enhancing TMOKE based on an\u0000easy-to-fabricate platform, laying the groundwork for exploring and developing\u0000magneto-optical devices such as sensors, magnetic storage devices, and\u0000nonreciprocal photonic devices.

Following this, we thermally evaporate silver onto the sample and\u0000transfer the top layers of the crystal along with the silver layer to the\u0000target substrate. This technique allows the production of visually\u0000non-corrugated single- and few-layer flakes with high yield. A direct\u0000comparison of the micro-Raman and micro-photoluminescence spectra of flakes\u0000exfoliated using our method with the spectra of those exfoliated from scotch\u0000tape reveals differences in their properties. We identify signatures of\u0000deformations in the flakes exfoliated from the intermediate substrate,\u0000indicating the presence of static friction between the substrate and the flake.\u0000Our findings thus suggest a novel method to induce intrinsic deformation in 2D\u0000materials.

This theoretical\u0000concept, dubbed as 'tomographic Fermi liquid', is yet challenging to test with\u0000dc electrical measurements as electron scattering weakly affects the electrical\u0000resistivity. Here, we show that linewidth and amplitude of electromagnetic\u0000absorption at the multiple harmonics of the cyclotron resonance carries all\u0000necessary information to test the tomographic Fermi liquid hypothesis. Namely,\u0000the height and inverse width of $m$-th order cyclotron resonance ($m ge 2$) is\u0000proportional to the lifetime of $m$-th angular harmonic of electron\u0000distribution function $tau_m$, if probed at wavelengths exceeding the\u0000cyclotron radius $R_c$. Measurements of high-order cyclotron resonance at short\u0000wavelengths order of $R_c$ also enable a direct determination of all lifetimes\u0000$tau_m$ from a simple linear system of equations that we hereby derive.\u0000Extraction of cyclotron resonance lifetimes from an experiment on terahertz\u0000photoconductivity in graphene shows that third-order resonance is\u0000systematically narrower than second-order one, supporting the prediction of\u0000tomographic Fermi liquid hypothesis.

Recent experimental and theoretical studies have\u0000shown that plasmonic nanocavities, with their deep sub-wavelength mode volumes,\u0000may allow to obtain vibrational SFG signals from a single molecule. In this\u0000article, we compute the degree of second order coherence ($g^{(2)}(0)$) of the\u0000upconverted mid-infrared field under realistic parameters and accounting for\u0000the anharmonic potential that characterizes vibrational modes of individual\u0000molecules. On the one hand, we delineate the regime in which the device should\u0000operate in order to preserve the second-order coherence of the mid-infrared\u0000source, as required in quantum applications. On the other hand, we show that an\u0000anharmonic molecular potential can lead to antibunching of the upconverted\u0000photons under coherent, Poisson-distributed mid-infrared and visible drives.\u0000Our results therefore open a path toward a new kind of bright and tunable\u0000source of indistinguishable single photons by leveraging ``vibrational\u0000blockade'' in a resonantly and parametrically driven molecule, without the need\u0000for strong light-matter coupling.

This\u0000complicates the analysis of experimental data and significantly limits the\u0000information that can be obtained. To fill this knowledge gap, we have developed\u0000a semi-analytical model based on the mesoscopic continuous medium approach. The\u0000model consists of the following steps: calculation of the incident electric\u0000field and the dynamic susceptibility, calculation of the induced polarisation,\u0000and calculation of the emitted electric field and its propagation towards the\u0000detector. We demonstrate the model on the examples of the measurements of\u0000thermal and coherently excited spin waves. Thin-film narrowband interference\u0000filters, targeted to specific absorption bands of target molecules, are\u0000commonly deployed for cost-effective MIR sensing systems. These devices require\u0000complex and time-consuming fabrication processes. Also, their customization on\u0000the micro-scale for emerging miniaturized applications is challenging.\u0000Plasmonic nanostructure arrays operating in reflection and transmission modes\u0000have been developed for MIR. However, they experience undesirable\u0000characteristics, such as broad spectra and low reflection/transmission\u0000efficiencies. All-dielectric metasurfaces have low intrinsic losses and have\u0000emerged as a substitute for plasmonic metasurfaces in MIR spectroscopy.\u0000Nevertheless, they typically operate only in reflection mode. In this work, we\u0000present a hybrid metal-dielectric metasurface for MIR spectroscopy operating in\u0000transmission mode. The metasurface is composed of germanium (Ge) atop aluminum\u0000(Al) cylinders, and we show that the transmission response arises because of\u0000the hybridization of modes arising from the Ge and the Al structures. The\u0000presented metasurface has a high transmission efficiency of 80 % at $lambda =\u00002.6 mutext{m}$, and a narrow full-width-at-half-maximum of $0.4\u0000mutext{m}$. We show numerical simulations, successful fabrication using a\u0000straightforward fabrication method, and deployment as the in-line optical\u0000filter in a CO$_2$ gas detection with a limit of detection of ~0.04% (a few\u0000hundred ppm). The proposed methodology, termed "differential\u0000sensing", involves encryption of a wavefield image by means of two\u0000hard-to-guess, complex and random scattering media, namely, a background and a\u0000total (background plus scatterer) medium. Unlike prior developments in this\u0000area, not one but two scattering media are adopted for scrambling of the\u0000probing wavefields (as encoded, e.g., in a suitable ciphertext hologram) and,\u0000consequently, this method offers enhanced security. In addition, while prior\u0000works have addressed methods based on physical imaging in the encryption phase\u0000followed by computational imaging in the decryption stage, we examine the\u0000complementary modality wherein encryption is done computationally while\u0000decryption is done analogically, i.e., via the materialization of the required\u0000physical imaging system comprising the ciphertext hologram and the two unique\u0000(background and total) media. The practical feasibility of the proposed\u0000differential sensing approach is examined with the help of computer simulations\u0000incorporating multiple scattering. The advantages of this method relative to\u0000the conventional single-medium approach are discussed for both analog and\u0000digital signals.
