The chosen articles were limited to those which were published in English by using few specific keywords. An electronic search of research papers was conducted on the complete PubMed database using certain keywords. Using combinations of the pre-defined keywords, the last access was in January 2021. According to studies, using the intracanal cryotherapy approach in combination with irrigation under negative pressure relieves post-endodontic discomfort. It was also seen that DCT (deep cryogenic treatment) had successfully raised the cyclic fatigue resistance with 24-hour soaking time by 13% and with 6-hour only 1%. Anyhow, soaking time does not influence cutting efficiency. When combined with local anaesthesia, cryotherapy has a local anaesthetic effect by lowering the nociceptors activation threshold and the conduction velocity of pain signals. Therefore, in case of symptomatic apical periodontitis, cryotherapy is a straightforward and affordable adjunctive approach for reducing postoperative discomfort and for managing pulpal hemorrhage during critical pulp therapy. Also, unquestionably an essential step in treating edoema and discomfort following endodontic surgery.","PeriodicalId":500673,"journal":{"name":"International dental journal of student's research","volume":"26 2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136183354","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this review, we discuss the current state of the art in the field of dentistry and the future of dentistry, highlighting the advantages and challenges of utilizing blockchain technology for disaster victims’ identification. Blockchain's applications in Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) offer a humanitarian dimension, helping bring solace to families in times of tragedy. Moreover, blockchain's potential to establish virtual health clinics and telemedicine platforms could bridge healthcare gaps in underserved regions.","PeriodicalId":500673,"journal":{"name":"International dental journal of student's research","volume":"102 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136183351","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

While dental implants have gained favour for their convenience and long-term viability, their success in diabetic individuals is hampered by compromised osseointegration due to reduced healing-associated bone formation. Successful implant outcomes in such cases hinge on meticulous patient selection, appropriate implant design, and effective restorative strategies, underpinned by stringent glycemic control and oral hygiene. Innovative solutions encompass implant-supported removable dentures and hydroxyapatite-coated implants that foster bone growth and implant-bone integration. In sum, navigating diabetes-related challenges for dental implants entails a comprehensive approach encompassing careful procedural considerations and advanced interventions to bolster the chances of success.","PeriodicalId":500673,"journal":{"name":"International dental journal of student's research","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136183377","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Whether the stains are a result of expectoration or a consequence of some sexual or violent act resulting in saliva being mixed with other body fluids, the investigating forensic expert is faced with two fundamental problems: localization of stain and visualization of stain. Visualization of saliva is problematic unlike other body fluids like blood which has its own internal marker (i.e., hemoglobin) or semen that can be easily identified by acid phosphatase method. : Evaluate of lugol’s Iodine as an easy, chair side screening tool for identification of saliva from the crime scene. In the present study saliva stains on different fabrics viz. silk, polyester, linen, jute, cotton, georgette, sarton and other items like paper cups, chocolate wrapper aluminium, plastic bags, stainless steel spoon (cutlery) were examined using Lugol’s iodine. Lugol’s Iodine test was found to give Positive results for saliva stains on different fabrics and it was also found that the stains on different fabrics gives positive results for saliva even after washing with water, but none of the fabrics gave positive results for saliva after washing with detergents and alcohol. From the above study it is concluded that Saliva is retained in fabrics even after washing with water. Detergents fades off the color of stain and alcohol darkens the colour of stain from study items.","PeriodicalId":500673,"journal":{"name":"International dental journal of student's research","volume":"98 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136339943","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
