To aim of this study was to evaluate the results of single tooth implant treatment in diabetic patient where the teeth have been lost as a result of trauma. Bicortical basal implant for rehabilitation of mouth is gaining popularity and emerging as a gold stranded technique in recent times. This approach help in improvising the patient aesthetic for a longer duration and provide a permanent solution. Bicortical screw are implanted in heavily corticated bone (basal bone) and is less vulnerable to infection and failure. In patients with diabetic history convention dental implants is generally contraindicated and has high failure rate. To overcome this and provide a better solution need of alternative treatments has arisen. In our study of a case report, we used bicortical dental implant for replacing the missing maxillary anterior tooth with fixed prosthetic. Interesting, though, the patients had diabetes. We found positive out come with favourable prognosis. No any significant complications were noticed and implant was successful. A Retrospective studies of various published literature and observation of our patient for a period of 12 month. We conclude that bicortical dental implants with immediate loading may be used for rehabilitating mouth in diabetes patient after evaluation of various factors such as, blood sugar levels, Cost, time and preference of patient.","PeriodicalId":500673,"journal":{"name":"International dental journal of student's research","volume":"185 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136183353","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For the investigation. An ISO no. 40 cone and gutta-percha cones with a 0.06 taper were gathered. In each of the tested solvents, five batches of samples were made and submerged for 6, 12, and 18 minutes. To ascertain the process of gutta-percha dissolution in the solvents, the weight before immersion and the weight after immersion in the solvents were measured on a digital analytical scale. Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and multiple comparisons with Scheffe's test (p 0.05) were used to statistically analyse the data. With xylene, the best solvency capacity was attained. Halothane, orange oil, and chloroform all had comparable dissolving abilities.","PeriodicalId":500673,"journal":{"name":"International dental journal of student's research","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136183350","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A multistage cluster sample of 650 school students aged 12-18 years was selected. A proforma containing personal data such as name, gender, age, DHC grading, AC grading (by both examiner and subject), and a brief questionnaire was created to record the results per person. The Dental health component (DHC) and the aesthetic component (AC), both were recorded for IOTN-based treatment needs assessment. According to the DHC, 30% of people had a clear need for therapy, 54.62% had a marginal or mild need, and 15.38% had no need at all. As per the AC, 52.9% of respondents had no or a mild need for therapy, 22.3% had a questionable need, and 24.8% had a clear need for intervention. Furthermore, 43.5% of the subjects had no idea at all about Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics, while 31.4% identified the branch with the word braces which is a concerning fact. A statistically significant association between the DHC and the subject’s willingness to undergo locally provided and economically feasible Orthodontic treatment indicates a large base of potential orthodontic patients who are unable to seek treatment due to a lack of access to better healthcare facilities. The outcomes of the current study can, however, be used to plan for public health and to provide ideas for more research.","PeriodicalId":500673,"journal":{"name":"International dental journal of student's research","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136183370","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This shows a high level of penetrance and variable expressiveness. Early diagnosis of this syndrome is important for counseling of patients to prevent harmful exposure to Ultra-Violet and ionizing radiations that increase the risk of developing Basal Cell Carcinoma. A 18 years old male patient came with chief complaint of swelling in lower front region of jaw. Clinical examination done. Orthopantomograph revealed multiple multi-locular, well-defined radiolucency with sclerotic border located in maxilla and mandible. Relevant investigations were done including chest X-ray, Computed Tomography scan and Histopathological examination revealed presence of Gorlin- goltz syndrome. The Gorlin-Goltz syndrome is manifested by multiple defects involving the skin, nervous system, eyes, endocrine system, and bones. The presence of two major and one minor or one major and three minor criteria are necessary to establish diagnosis. The present reported case of Gorlin-Goltz syndrome fulfilled 3 major and 1 minor criteria. In the treatment of recurrent Odontogenic Keratocyst, associated with Gorlin- goltz syndrome, the overlying surface epithelium should be excised along with the cystic lining to prevent recurrence. This paper focus on the importance of oral and maxillofacial health professionals in the early diagnosis of Gorlin-Goltz syndrome and in a multidisciplinary approach to provide a better prognosis to the patient.","PeriodicalId":500673,"journal":{"name":"International dental journal of student's research","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136183352","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
