In the present paper, we study the existence of at least one weak solution for a class of double phase variable exponent problem with a reaction term depending on the gradient and on two real parameters. This paper aims to introduce various concepts of statistical Riemann-Stieltjes sum via the deferred N¨orlund summability mean for the sequence of functions as well as the sequence of distribution functions. We first establish some fundamental limit theorems for statistical Riemann-Stieltjes sum in the sequence space. Then over the probability sequence space, we establish some more advanced results. A ring R is said to be n -fine if every nonzero element in R can be written as a sum of a nilpotent and n units in R. The class of these rings contains fine rings and n -good rings in which each element is a sum of n units. Fundamental properties of such rings are obtained. One of the main results of this paper is that the m × m matrix ring M m ( R ) over any arbitrary ring R is 2-fine.
