The purpose of the article is to analyze the historical and pedagogical aspect of the development of academic giftedness of students in foreign theory and practice. The following used research methods were decisive as analysis and generalization of scientific and methodical sources, synthesis of the obtained data. Results. Academically gifted children have been found to have many needs that cannot be met by the standard education system. Therefore, in most educational institutions in Europe and the USA, programs for working with academically gifted children were designed and, in connection with this, the professional training programs for teachers were seriously changed and supplemented. An important role in the development of professional training of teachers who work with gifted and talented children is played by international organizations that research giftedness. Accumulated domestic and foreign experience on this problem shows the relevance of further development of theoretical foundations and practical ways of developing the academically gifted children education system. Conclusions. The peculiarities of the development of the education system for academically gifted children in the USA have been identifies by the author of the article as following: the deepening of profile and level differentiation of education; wide use of internal differentiation methods; the variability of forms of individualization of education; increase in the number of special educational institutions, departments and streams; the use of pedagogical mentoring programs. The specific peculiarities of the education content and methods of teaching gifted children, which consist in the application of accelerated learning and courses of «expansion» and «enrichment» of the program; increasing the role of effective teaching methods, modern technical means in the development of children's intellectual abilities. The purpose of the article is to justify the importance and relevance of the development and optimization of the skills of information searching, processing and analysing for doctors of philosophy (PhD) on specialty 015 Professional education (by specialization) at different stages of their academic and scientific career. Methods. To achieve the goal, the authors used the following methods: analysis, synthesis of regulative and scientific and pedagogical sources, generalization, observation, own scientific and pedagogical experience. The results. The relevance of the problem of developing and optimizing the skills of information searching from various sources, its processing and analysing in the training of future doctors of philosophy (PhD) has been proven. Modern research in the field of psychology and pedagogy was analysed (John Sweller – the study of cognitive load and thinking processes, on the ability of students to process and analyse information; Richard Mayer – the study of cognitive aspects of education, including methods of presenting information and its perception by students; Carol Kuhlthau – information processes in education and development of information literacy). Attention is focused on the possibilities of researching the analysed topic through the lens of the Carol Kuhlthau 's Information Search Process (ISP) Model. The essence of the notion of \"informational and analytical competence of a post-graduate student (future doctor of philosophy (PhD))\" has been determined. Conclusions. {"title":"Digitalization of Education: the Experience of France","authors":"Olena Kulyk","doi":"10.31470/2415-3729-2023-17-108-128","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.31470/2415-3729-2023-17-108-128","url":null,"abstract":"At the present stage of development of Ukraine’s education and science, the issue of digitalisation requires consideration and further research, and since European Union countries possess more solid achievements in the field of digitalisation of education, their experience is extremely useful for Ukraine. The author of this article considers it reasonable to focus on the experience of France. The research goal is analysing the experience of France in the aspect of digitalisation of education, generalising and finding a scientific rationale of present-day challenges of information society for all stages of continuing education. Methods. In the course of the research, general scientific methods were used (analysis, synthesis, induction, deduction, comparison, generalisation), which enabled us to perform a complex and systemic analysis, consider and summarize developments of prospective best practices of digitalisation of education in France. The results. Basing on examination of specific facts and phenomena in digitalisation of education, the author has singled out the most important associations that provide opportunities for remote learning in France and offer a variety of courses – commercial, free of charge and mixed, permanently available or available for a certain period of time according to the curriculum, designed for laymen and specialists, unlimited and limited (with limitations as to the number of participants), with support or without it, with participation of an expert/several experts, or developed by amateurs. Conclusions. France has been introducing remote learning since 1996. Over time, the transition to digital education has proven the ability of France’s education system to adapt to new conditions, and the ability of its higher education institutions to defend and ensure importance of their activities ‒ universities did not disappear but instead, they created the background for introduction of remote learning and further development of informatization in education. Meanwhile, the many years’ experience has shown that much has been done, but even more remains to be accomplished to ensure effectiveness and quality of digitalisation of education. This is evidenced, among other factors, by activities of Digital Estates General, which has developed (in cooperation with the entire educational community) 40 proposals concerning digitalisation strategies. The purpose of the article is to analyze and characterize the features of the intellectual development of preschool children in the People's Republic of China. Among the research methods used, the following were decisive: analysis and generalization of scientific and methodical sources for theoretical substantiation of research problems, modelling, synthesis of the obtained data. Results. The results of the study of the intellectual development of high-status, medium-status and low-status members of educational groups of primary schools in the People's Republic of China are presented. It is shown that the intellectual development of high-status and middle-status children aged 4 to 5 years is higher than that of their low-status peers, primarily in aspects such as perception, attention, and memory. It is noted that the integral indicator of high-status subjects corresponds to an average or high level of intellectual development. Moreover, a high level is characteristic of the majority of subjects in this category. The integral indicator of intellectual development of middle-status test subjects is quite comparable to that of high-status subjects. Attention is drawn to the fact that, in fact, there is only one, but important feature between these two categories of subjects ‒ among the high-status children, there are no children with an integral indicator of intellectual development below the average. Conclusions. The integral indicator of intellectual development of the majority of low-status subjects corresponds to a low level of intellectual development. Through the prism of the concept of «interpersonal development situation», the dialectical relationship between the intellectual and socio-psychological development of preschool children in the People's Republic of China is analyzed. Methodical provision of the structure of interpersonal relations in educational groups of kindergartens of the People's Republic of China is presented. This article examines the main competencies of a modern music teacher. The purpose of the article is to characterize the essence, structure and features of the formation of ethno-artistic competence of a music teacher. The used research methods are: analysis and generalization, modelling, synthesis. Results. It has been established that the actions of the music teacher should be primarily aimed at the formation of key competencies, since the training can be successful in which the following chain is clearly traced: from a competent teacher to a competent student. Therefore, the importance of developing new approaches to the formation of musical art teachers' rich professional, personal and creative potential, which allows realizing the educational possibilities of ethno-artistic imitation, becomes obvious. In this regard, the issues related to the interpretation of the concept of \"ethno-artistic culture\", the means and methods of its formation in the system of professional musical education are considered. Moreover, the author believes that it is also important that ethno-musical education should provide opportunities for ethnic, ethno-cultural, ethno-musical identification in the course of involvement in ethnic musical values for the formation of ethno-cultural identity. Conclusions. The author of the article concludes that the process of forming the future specialists’ ethno-artistic competence is effective under the following conditions: ethno-musical education should become a means of consolidating peoples, a factor in the activation of intercultural interaction in the conditions of multicultural education; it should be closely related to polymusical education (where integrative processes are strengthened, ensured by the openness of other cultures, a polymusical competence is forming, and the polymusical education role is intensifying). The goal of the article is to consider the didactic potential of using educational web-sites for the formation of English communicative competency of high school students of general secondary education institutions nowadays. A number of scientific methods were used to realize the goal of the research, the most important of which are: theoretical analysis of scientific and methodological literature on the problems of using information and communication technologies in the educational process of foreign languages; system analysis in order to study the functional capabilities of educational web-sites; the sampling method, which contributed to the rapid processing of information in order to single out certain communicative tasks offered by educational websites for their analysis. Results. According to the results of the study, the advantages of educational websites for improving educational results in the subject «The English language» of students of education were determined. The author notes that the introduction of innovative technologies makes it possible to solve effectively such problems as strengthening the role of self-education of high school students, changing the pedagogical methods, introducing the active methods and modern information technologies. In conclusions the author states that the English educational web-sites should be used both for self-education of high school students, individual or group classes with a tutor, and as a supplement to the basic educational subject «The English language» in high schools. The purpose is to analyse the specifics of attracting high school students of general secondary education institutions to the implementation of environmental projects. The main methods of research were methods of systematization, statistical processing, analysis, observation, induction, deduction, and synthesis used to solve scientific and methodological problems. Results. It is established that the goal of an environmental project makes it possible to choose a range of tasks that should be implemented by a high school student, namely: the object of research and the method of achieving the final result. In accordance with the set goal, the project objectives are determined. The solution of each task is a stage of research. Tasks determine the content of the study, methods, and results obtained. They can include the formulation of a problem, the identification of new facts, the establishment of new connections, a new formulation of a known problem, original conclusions and recommendations for the implementation of the obtained experimental data. The proposed scheme is a model for conducting research on determining water quality in aquatic ecosystems. The diagram shows three stages of step-by-step research. The first one is aimed at selecting the object of research (the main selection of criteria and objects of research is revealed). The second stage is the selection of methods for conducting the experiment. The criteria for selecting experimental sites are disclosed and, accordingly, identifiers for conducting an experiment and implementing an environmental project are given. The third stage is aimed at analysing the results of the study, formulating appropriate conclusions and planning the next stages of the study. The main stages in the formation of scientific research are considered from the formation of the topic, research tasks to the discussion and formation of conclusions of an environmental project. Conclusions. In the process of implementing environmental projects, which is aimed at search activities, high school students improve their ability to perform mental actions, operate in practice with all the acquired skills and abilities. The implementation of eco-projects develops logical and ecological thinking, forms a scientific and practical style of thinking, intuition, and develops interest in natural science. Scientific literature can’t provide deep and thorough knowledge, practical skills and abilities if the acquired theoretical knowledge is not combined with research activities. Methods. In the process of research the methods of theoretical search, historical, abstract-logical, comparative and descriptive were used. Results. An assessment of possible forms of development of social innovations on the basis of higher education institutions (HEIs) of Ukraine, namely social entrepreneurship, outreach activities of universities, and socially oriented models of education is given. An analysis of the rating higher education institutions of Ukraine regarding the implementation of social innovations in the scientific and educational process is carried out. Examples of the implementation of socially oriented learning outcomes that provide war-related societal demands are presented. Scientific and methodical recommendations for higher education institutions on improving the quality of the scientific and educational process with the help of social innovations during the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine have been developed. Zenkivskyi's pedagogy. The purpose of the article is to analyze and characterize the pedagogical views of V. Zenkivskyi. The research methods used are the following decisive ones: analysis and generalization of scientific and methodical sources for the theoretical substantiation of the research problem, modelling, obtained data synthesis. Results. In the pedagogy of V. Zenkivskyi, special attention is paid to the interpretation of education and to setting the purpose and objectives of education in the light of the divine predestination, as well as the influence of the idea of the divine predestination in the development of the pupil’s personality. The providential nature of education in the pedagogy of V. Zenkivskyi subordinated both learning and all areas of child development. Thanks to the providentialist understanding of education, V. Zenkivskyi overcomes pedagogical relativism, which consists in a mistaken understanding of the «freedom» of choice presented to a student who cannot use it. The author of the article also states that orientation to providential principles in education is a necessary condition for accepting the V. Zenkivskyi’s educational concept, which cannot be separated into components and used in line with other pedagogical currents, it cannot be analyzed «biased» from the point of view of other philosophical and religious attitudes. Conclusions. The benefit of this study is rtghe author’s conclusion that the pedagogical views of V. Zenkivskyi are conductively oriented and based on the spirituality and creative potential of the individual, which helps to reproduce and philosophically understand the integrity of the pedagogical existence, as well as to comprehend the diversity of pedagogical interpretations of the history of world and national culture.
