It is difficult to guess why scholars in Yeongnam critically accepted and discussed the text of 『SaUi』 written by Heo Jeon of near-capital area, leaving behind many books published in his hometown, Yeongnam. This paper is a small attempt to find an answer to the original question of the influence of 『SaUi』 on the history of Youngnam Ritual Studies. As a result of contrasting with 『Sangbyeon Tonggo』, which holds a symbolic status in the history of Youngnam Ritual Studies in the 18th century, the theory of Simui dealt with in the <Beobbok> compilation of 『SaUi』 was the most characteristic. Heo Jeon’s 『SaUi』 came to the stage of expressing his personal opinions by questioning the point of doubt in earnest not only in 『Garye』but also in old rituals. The practical use of 『SaUi』 means a deeper approach to daily life. The clear difference between ritual studies books representing the 18th century in Yeongnam and 『SaUi』 appearing in the 19th century is evident at this point. The original theory related to deliberation advocated by Heo Jeon's writers and Lee Jin-sang's writers in 『SaUi』 was the subject of academic discussion, and a total of 11 of Heo Jeon's writers wrote writings related to <Beobbok>. The theory of the compilation of 『SaUi』 was the closest to daily life considering the customs of Korea by restoring the essence of rituals based on old rituals such as 『Garye』 and Yeongnam. 『SaUi』provided a foundation for scholars in Yeongnam to expand the base of historical evidence and discussion on old rituals and to present practical theories based on reality. At this point, this paper can confirm where the coordinates of『SaUi』 are in the history of 19th-century Youngnam Ritual Studies.","PeriodicalId":494961,"journal":{"name":"대동한문학","volume":"49 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135083996","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Ju-hee said that the Gewuzhizhi chapter was disappeared, and he created it himself and transferred it to 『The Great Learning(大學)』. Many people questioned that the contents of the Confucian classics were created by individuals. Donggye Jo Gwi-myeong also argues that the Gewuzhizhi chapter did not disappear in the first place, and that the contents can be restored by correcting the mixed order. This paper is the result of introducing the contents and considering the meaning of <Daehak Seol(大學說)>, a new material containing Donggye Jo Gwi-myong's arguments. The writings of Jo Gwi-myeong and Lee Heon-kyung, which were used as data in this paper, have not yet been mentioned in academia. Jo Gwi-myeong widely reviewed the previous data and insisted on his new theory. There are not many similar cases in the history of the study of Confucian classics in Joseon dynasty, and the contents are also very original. Donggye's <Daehak Seol> is a work that coincides with Donggye's original work in terms of sentences, and it is considered to be an important material to be studied and remembered.","PeriodicalId":494961,"journal":{"name":"대동한문학","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135083829","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is highly evaluated for not only having a lot of content, but also for making good use of previous books. A symposium with the theme of 『Ohjuyeonmunjangjeonsango』 was held, and at this time Lee Kyu-gyeong's erudition was revealed and the level of Korean intellectual history in the 19th century was proved. Lee Kyu-gyeong's 『Shiga-Jumdeung(詩家點燈)』 is a book that criticizes Korean and Chinese poetry and sentences. Researchers do not use it as much as 『Oju-Yeonmunjangjeon-Sango』 because it is difficult to identify characters and it is not databased, but there is no disagreement that it has a lot of content like 『Oju-Yeonmunjangjeon-Sango』. 『Oju-Yeonmunjangjeon-Sango』 and 『Shiga-Jumdeung』 make us look forward to the value of another of Lee Kyu-kyung's books that have not been discovered yet. 『Oju-Yeonmunjangjeon-Sango』 says “It can be seen in detail in 『Oju- Pilju(五洲筆疇)』”, so 『Oju-Pilju』, which was obviously Lee Kyu-kyung's book but had not been seen before, was newly discovered. It is a hand-held book [袖珍本] similar in size to 『Shiga-Jumdeung』. There are 20 letters in 10 lines and a total of 72 pages. The condition of the book is very good, so it is easy to distinguish the letters. 『Oju-Pilju』 contains military operations, which are the core of war, walls for defense, pavilions to watch military camps, armor and weapons, carts carrying munitions, other things that could be weapons, military medicine, and amulets to defeat the enemy. In other words, it is a ‘book on military strategy(兵法書)’ with quite a bit of content. Through two prefaces written by Lee Kyu-gyeong, he emphasized that as a Confucian scholar, the purpose of separately writing the book on military strategy, 『Oju-Pilju』, was to achieve a peaceful era. Looking at the parts related to the walls, weapons, and carts that Lee Kyu-kyung said he put effort into in the preface, it is clear that he had a high level of knowledge about ‘strategy’. Through the review of 『Oju-Pilju』, it is possible to accurately grasp the level of Joseon books on military strategy in the 19th century.","PeriodicalId":494961,"journal":{"name":"대동한문학","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135083993","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

So Eung-cheon was a scholar in a rural area, unknown to academia, but he had a reputation in the Samnam area of the time and also interacted with Soron scholars and Yeongnam scholars. So Eung-cheon is a remarkable figure in examining academic trends in the Samnam region in the 18th century. So Eung-cheon was associated with unknown scholars, Yeongnam scholars, and Soron scholars in a countyside, and what is particularly noteworthy in his relationship with Soron scholars. When he was young, So Eung-cheon studied various fields, including all classes of philosophers, Buddhism, Taoism, astronomy, and geography. However, when So Eung-cheon interacted with Soron scholars in his late teens and early 20s, he realized that his past academic direction was wrong and devoted himself to Confucianism. Yoon Dong-soo and Yoon Dong-won, whom So Eung-cheon served as teachers, played a pivotal role in the establishment of the academic background of the Pa-pyeong Yoon family, which led from Yoon Jeung. They pointed out the problem of So Eung-cheon working on general studies and pursuing a high-altitude discourse, and asked So Eung-cheon to work on practicing ethical norms in everyday life. In other words, Yoon Dong-won and Yoon Dong-soo passed on the academic style of Mushil(實務) from Yoon Jeung to So Eung-cheon. After meeting them, So Eung- cheon emphasized this point to his friends and juniors, emphasizing practice and study of So-hak(小學) in everyday life. Through So Eungcheon's academic trend, a new phase of the academic style in Honam region in the late Joseon Dynasty can be found. In addition, through the friendship between the So Eungcheon and Pa-pyeong Yoon families, it is possible to confirm how the academic style of the Soron leading from Yun Jeung were passed down.","PeriodicalId":494961,"journal":{"name":"대동한문학","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135083832","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, although his brilliant contribution as a hero of the country was praised, the fundamental reason why Yang Heon-soo was called scholarstic general seems to have never been discussed. This paper examined the human aspect of scholarstic general Yang Heon-soo from four perspectives and how he responded as scholarstic general to the national historical disaster of Byeongin Yangyo. Four characteristic aspects were argued as empirical data: with a sense of reality, who wrote the words, with the ability to respond to the wounds of war, with strategies and improvisation. Regarding Byeonginyangyo, the research results of the private academia have been accumulated, but there is much room for in-depth analysis of Chinese literature data. First of all, it is suggested that the process of reading the data already used needs to be more precise, and that related records that were outside the right of interest should be compiled and analyzed.","PeriodicalId":494961,"journal":{"name":"대동한문학","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135083994","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Lee was a leading scholar in those days. The fact that Lee had explored neo- Confucianism and created unique colorful writing styles has been discovered by previous researches. This study specifically analyzed the path through which he had come to understand neo-Confucianism and the cases where his neo-Confucian literary views were revealed. Through various bibliographical documents, this study could identify that Lee read books like Gyeokyangjip(『擊壤集』), SeongrigunseoGuhe(『性理群書句解』), Geunsarok(『近思錄』), writings of Juhi(朱熹), Yirak- yeonwonrok(『伊洛淵源錄』), etc. We can recognize that, even if it was not easy to publish books and, thus, acquire them, Lee could access various good books. Based on such exploration, this study analyzed what Lee wrote: ‘Parkpansa Ilbonhaengrokbal’[<朴判事日本行錄跋>, ‘Excerpts of Records of Judge Park's Travel to Japan’] written in around 1370 and ‘Eochochang- hwasiseo’[<漁樵唱和詩序>, ‘Preface to Eochochanghwa Poem’] in 1396. In these two writings, Lee effectively revealed his neo-Confucian literary views by citing ‘Mosiseo’(<毛詩序>) and ‘Sijipjeonseo’(<詩集傳序>), and using rhetorical expressions of ‘Hyeongdamchanghwasiseo’(<荆潭唱和詩序>) of Han Yu(韓愈; 768~824), a famous poet of Tang dynasty. Through such searches, this study could identify the concrete path through which Lee formed his neo-Confucianism and neo-Confucian literary views, and that his expressions were greatly influenced by writings of Han Yu.","PeriodicalId":494961,"journal":{"name":"대동한문학","volume":"137 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135083830","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the meantime, there has been mention of his existence, which is excellent in flower painting, but his specific life history or literature such as poetry and calligraphy were not dealt with. Accordingly, in this paper, I tried to comprehensively examine his life and literature by examining various documents that mentioned him, such as 『Naegag-illyeog(내각일력)』, 『Jinhuisokgo(震彙續攷)』, 『Ihyanggyeonmunrok(里鄕見聞錄)』, etc. Kim Deok-hyeong’s name received upon reaching adulthood is Kangjung, his pen name is Samyangjae and Hwasanja, and is from the Gimhae Kim family. Kim Deok-hyeong performed the duties of Gakri(閣吏), the secretary of Kyujanggak, among Gyeongajeon, and the duties were passed on to his son Kim Shin-won(renamed Kim Ye-won) and his grandson Kim Geon-shik(金健植). In September 1780, he served as Byeongjo Seori(書吏), and in December 1781, he became Gakri(閣吏), a secretary at Kyujanggak, and served until 1795. He served as secretary at Kyujanggak for a total of 15 years, but as he has been associated with Kang Se-hwang(姜世晃), Shim Sa-jeong(沈師正), Heo Pil(許佖), Choi Buk(崔北), and Kim Hong-do(金弘道) since childhood, he had a chance to sharpen his eyesight. Thanks for this, even after becoming a Gakri, he displayed his special abilities in the field of literature and art. Through his poems such as 『Pungyosamseon』, we were able to get a glimpse of Kim Deok-hyeong's elegant spiritual world and poetic world, and through the records of Ma Seong-rin, who was the same Yeohangin, we confirmed his excellent calligraphy. Through the reviews of Yu Deuk-gong, Park Je-ga, and Yoon Haeng-im, he showed his painting skills, and he showed his special skills in painting rather than writing, and in painting flowers. The fact that he had no choice but to excel in flower painting was also due to his love for and exploration of real flowers. As a result, his teacher, Kang Se-hwang, regarded his flower paintings as treasures and kept them. Through the above research, the existence of Kim Deok-hyung as Yeohangin and the fact that he was a non-professional artist from Suri, apart from being a professional painter of painted books, have given us a glimpse into a part of Yeohang’s culture that promoted late Joseon Dynasty literature.","PeriodicalId":494961,"journal":{"name":"대동한문학","volume":"51 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135083831","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The BaiLiang poem is a stanzaic poem collaboratively written by the Wu Emperor of the Han Dynasty and his twenty-five subjects. After that, poets began to produce heptasyllabic poems, leading to the formation of the genre, BaiLiang style. It stands to reason that not only Chinese authors but also Korean literati wrote and enjoyed the BaiLiang style. Since Choi Chi-won composed the <智證和尙碑銘>, several Korean writers during the Koryŏ and Chosŏn Dynasties produced poems with the BaiLiang style. In China, the stanzaic poems were continuously produced collaboratively by Emperors and their subjects from the time of the Wu Emperor's reign to the Qing dynasty. On the contrary, the BaiLiang style by individual poets was more significant in Korean literature.","PeriodicalId":494961,"journal":{"name":"대동한문학","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135083995","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
