This study aims to analyze the effect of the components of intellectual capital including human capital, structural capital, relational capital, and capital employed on the achievement of financial performance in the healthcare sector during the period intersecting with the pandemic. The sampling technique using purposive sampling obtained 15 companies during the 2019-2021 period so that the total observations were 45 firm-years. Quantitative research design using multiple regression with random effect model analysis. The results show that structural capital and capital employed have a significant positive effect of 5 percent on financial performance, while relational capital has the opposite effect. Human capital does not have a significant effect on achieving return on asset performance. As a post-pandemic implementation, the four components of intellectual capital should be managed in a balanced way so that they can add value to the sector.","PeriodicalId":493975,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Application on Economics and Business","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135134985","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

COVID-19 was observed with three variables (the growth of the total number of confirmed cases, the growth of the number of deaths, and stringency index). This study incorporated market capital, return of Jakarta Composite Index (JCI), and exchange rates of Rupiah against U.S. Dollar as control variables. The source of data of this research was from IHSG transactions, COVID-19 updates on WHO’s website, and exchanges rate historical data from Bank Indonesia’s website from March 2nd, 2020 to December 30th, 2020. Hypothesis testing is done by multiple regression analysis using EViews 12. The findings of this research indicate that COVID-19 did not correlate significantly to the liquidity by the depth measure. The implication of this study is to provide new insight regarding the effects of pandemic towards Indonesia’s stock market liquidity, to become a reference to the future research because the result differs from one country to another one, to provide new insight such as knowledge regarding the higher return and the strengthening of Rupiah means the higher stock market illiquidity by its depth, in order to give guidance for investors’ decision-making process and to give references for the next research.","PeriodicalId":493975,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Application on Economics and Business","volume":"57 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135134999","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study therefore aims to investigate if corporate governance principles affect the employee commitment with corporate reputation and organisational trust mediating the dual relationship. A positivist approach using survey method was employed to collect data from employees working in Malaysian companies. A total of 230 sample were analysed using SPSS and Smart PLS. The results show a positive relationship between corporate governance principles and employee commitment as well as corporate reputation. Corporate governance also had a significant effect on organisation trust which in turn leads to employee commitment. The mediating effect of both corporate reputation and organisational trust had strengthened the relationship between the two constructs. upending the wave of employee commitment in human resource research, these findings implied that governance concepts such as fairness, accountability, responsibility, and transparency had positive impact on employee commitment as well. This change brings consequences in how products are promoted and how consumers are convinced to make purchases. Therefore, this research aims to identify potential variables that may influence consumer purchase intention on the Tokopedia e-commerce platform. The variables under investigation include e-WOM (electronic Word-of-Mouth), online reviews, brand familiarity, and trustworthiness. The analysis method employed is Partial Least Squares (PLS). Research data was obtained through a survey involving over 300 active Tokopedia users. The analysis results demonstrate that brand familiarity, e-WOM, and online reviews have a positive and significant impact on consumer purchase intention. Additionally, it was found that trustworthiness acts as a mediator between brand familiarity, e-WOM, online reviews, and consumer purchase intention. This study provides a significant contribution to the understanding of factors influencing consumer purchase intention on the e-commerce platform, specifically Tokopedia. These findings can serve as a basis for developing more effective marketing strategies to enhance consumer purchase intention and trust in Tokopedia as an e-commerce platform. The practical implications of this research emphasize the importance of considering brand familiarity, e-WOM, online reviews, and trustworthiness in efforts to increase consumer purchase intention on Tokopedia.","PeriodicalId":493975,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Application on Economics and Business","volume":"72 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135135533","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
