In particular, such states are reflected in the spa- tial maps of active regions of the brain, obtained by means of functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). RSNs have stable and reproducible spatial structure over time in healthy subjects, but may differ substantially in clinical pathology. One of the important parameters of the brain activity is functional connectivity (FC) of individual elements within a network or between resting state networks. This review considers results of the studies focused at correlation of behavioral indicators and FC of brain areas activated during resting state. In addition, we describe data on reproducibility of RSN over time in healthy subjects, as well as data on changes in FC-of networks, depending on the individual experience.
","PeriodicalId":49337,"journal":{"name":"Zhurnal Vysshei Nervnoi Deyatelnosti Imeni I P Pavlova","volume":"66 5","pages":"541-555"},"PeriodicalIF":0.3,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"36897860","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"医学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Chronic stress resulted in decreases in the body weight and testosterone contents in the blood and neocortex in all animals. Animals with initially low orient- ing-exploratory response in the \"open field\" test did not exhibit substantial alterations of behavior during repeated testing in this test of the \"dark-light chamber\" test; however, the depression-like behavior was more expressed in the second forced swim test. Chronic combined stress did not significantly affect the behavior of this group of rats. Animals with initially high orienting-exploratory response in the \"open field\" test exhibited decreased locomotor and exploratory activity in the repeated \"open field\" tests. The decreases in the locomotor and exploratory activity were substantially less expressed in the repeated tests in these rats after chronic combined stress. The indices of depression-like behavior increased one month after the end of exposure to chronic combined stress. Our data demonstrate that different responses to novelty in the \"open field\" test do not allow predict with reasonable certainty the development of depression-like behavior after exposure to chronic combined stress.
","PeriodicalId":49337,"journal":{"name":"Zhurnal Vysshei Nervnoi Deyatelnosti Imeni I P Pavlova","volume":"66 5","pages":"611-625"},"PeriodicalIF":0.3,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"36954615","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"医学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Since the mechanisms of associative memory in this model are mainly studied using audi tory fear conditioning, the question about the generality of this mechanisms in respect to other conditioned stimuli remains open. The aim of this work-was to compare dynamics of visual-and auditory fear memory for- mation and retrieval. We showed that acquisition of freezing in response to visual conditioned stimulus is significantly slower in comparison with the. auditory conditioned stimulus. Moieover, the dynamics of memory retrieval was different in animals, trained to these stimuli, being slower in response to visual conditioned stim- ulus. This may reflect distinct mechanisms of visual and auditory associative memory consolidation or re- trieval in this Model. Our results impose constraints on the generality of conclusiois about the dynamics as- sociative memory formation obtained solely from classical auditory fear conditioning model in mice.
","PeriodicalId":49337,"journal":{"name":"Zhurnal Vysshei Nervnoi Deyatelnosti Imeni I P Pavlova","volume":"66 4","pages":"493-498"},"PeriodicalIF":0.3,"publicationDate":"2016-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"36907983","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"医学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In studies of LTP, both increase and decrease can be observed dependently on stress paradigms, severity, duration, and period of recording, brain structure etc. Stress-induced glucocrti- coids release does not directly correlate with LTP changes, and corticosterone application in vivo andin vitro can either enhance or suppress LTP. The nature of stress induced modifications is usually explained by the balance between mineralocorticoid and glucocorticoid receptors, the later seems to provoke synaptic meta- plasticity rather than LTP disturbance, increasing the threshold of LTP induction. In addition, metaplasticity can be also modulated be many other neurotransmitters,'enhancing uncertainty and unpredictability of stress response, in particular because their action is highly regulated-by emotional experience.
","PeriodicalId":49337,"journal":{"name":"Zhurnal Vysshei Nervnoi Deyatelnosti Imeni I P Pavlova","volume":"66 4","pages":"414-428"},"PeriodicalIF":0.3,"publicationDate":"2016-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"36954633","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"医学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A lot of attention is devoted to investigation of emotional faces and expressions perception, but issue of context influence on face recognition process is not so explored. In the current study subjects had watched emotional film fragment before their EEG were recorded during the task with photos of neutral faces: actors from the film and fillers (actors who didn't appear in the film). Method of event-related potentials were used (ERP). The difference between amplitude of P200 component on faces of culprit and victim was found that may be connect with different subjective rele- vance of stimuli for person, who watched the film. Correlations between personal traits of subjects (anxiety, aggression, animosity) and enhanced amplitude of P200 on face of victim in comparison with filler face also were found. Here, the diseases.ofAlzheimer, of Parkinson, of Hangtington, and the temporal lobe epilepsy are considered. Data, on the known or assumed mechanisms of these diseases are provided. In spite of the fact that the etiology.of the listed ND varies, their pathogenesis is characterized by common features: neural hyperexcitability, trophic deprivation, oxidative stress and energy deficite. Cognitive violations and/or deficiency of senso-motor integration are characteristic of patients with ND. Now reliable medicines for treatment of ND are absent. In recent years the fundamental role of EC system in regu- lation of neuroexcitability, energy metabolism, inflammatory and many other processes has been opened in ND pathogenesis. It points to possibility of development of therapeutic approaches which use the prepara- tions for activation of EC system. In the review various mechanisms of cellular survival and their reparations provided to EC system during action of pathological factors are stated.
","PeriodicalId":49337,"journal":{"name":"Zhurnal Vysshei Nervnoi Deyatelnosti Imeni I P Pavlova","volume":"66 4","pages":"387-413"},"PeriodicalIF":0.3,"publicationDate":"2016-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"36954632","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"医学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A total of 22 right-handed adults participated in the experiment. They performed 5-blocks of trials corresponding-to 5 different delays (T= 0; 500, 1000, 2000 4000 ms) between the imperative signal relative to the end of the contour trajectory presentation. An ERP analysis showed that, unlike ERPs related to the contour shape presentation, those related to the imperative signal delivery do change with growing delay T. A subsequent analysis of cortical sources of the ERPs related to the imperative stimulus showed corresponding pronounced grows of reactivity of orbito-frontal cortex of the right hemisphere and a symmetrical bilateral grows of reactivity of dorsal parts of the sensorimotor cortex. The reported findings are discussed in the framework of the proposal according to which the internal representation of a trajectory undergoes a transi- tion from a sensory-specific format towards more abstract neither sensory- nor motor-specific format.
","PeriodicalId":49337,"journal":{"name":"Zhurnal Vysshei Nervnoi Deyatelnosti Imeni I P Pavlova","volume":"66 4","pages":"470-483"},"PeriodicalIF":0.3,"publicationDate":"2016-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"36907981","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"医学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Sub- jects performed 250 maximal compressions of a handgrip dynamometer in response to the target acoustic stimulus. Stimuli were presented in three paradigms with different levels of cognitive load: (1) the reaction task with one type of signals (2) the acoustic stimuli recognition task with the 50% target and 50% non-target stimuli, where voluntary attention was involved, (3) the recognition task with the 17% target and 83% non tar- get stimuli, that led to the activation of voluntary and involuntary attention systems. As fatigue indicators amplitude of compression force in response to the target stimulus, the maximum voluntary contraction and rating of perceived exertion were used.
