Reduced mobility is no longer a limitation and, in addition to accessibility and individual movement, the wheelchair has the important function of helping with socialization. The objective of this research is to disseminate and apply neuroergonomic principles in engineering to test materials that can be used in the construction of wheelchairs, validating, using virtual tests, lighter and more comfortable materials for wheelchair users. The methodology adopted related bibliographical research inherent to the topic and use specialized software to test three different materials. The result shows that there are materials that offer excellent mechanical properties and are lighter and easier to handle.
