Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kandungan fitokimia dan aktivitas antioksidan ekstrak etanol dari batang lengkuas (Alpinia galanga). Batang lengkuas diekstraksi menggunakan metode maserasi dengan pelarut etanol 95%. Skrining fitokimia yang dilakukan meliputi uji flavonoid, triterpenoid, saponin, polifenol secara kualitatif dengan metode uji warna. Uji aktivitas antioksidan menggunakan metode ABTS (2,2-Azinobis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline)-6-sulfonic acid) dan vitamin C sebagai pembanding, serapan diukur menggunakan spektrofotometer UV-Vis pada panjang gelombang 750 nm. Hasil Skrining fitokimia pada ekstrak etanol batang lengkuas (Alpinia galanga) menunjukkan hasil positif terhadap flavonoid, triterpenoid dan polifenol, sementara saponin menunjukkan hasil negatif. Aktivitas antioksidan dianalisis menggunakan persamaan garis regresi y = 3,293x + 40.606, diperoleh IC₅₀ 1,675 ppm dan pembanding vitamin C diperoleh IC₅₀ 2,0405 ppm. Dari hasil tersebut diketahui ekstrak etanol batang lengkuas (Alpinia galanga) dan pembanding vitamin C menunjukkan keduanya memiliki aktivitas antioksidan yang termasuk dalam kategori sangat kuat.

Efektivitas sediaan krim tabir surya berdasarkan nilai nilai Sun Protectting Factor (SPF). Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk memformulasikan dan menentukan nilai SPF krim tabir surya ekstrak daun gedi ( Abelmoschus manihot L.) dengan konsentrasi 2,5, 5 dan 7,5%. Penelitian dimulai dengan ekstraksi sampel menggunakan metode maserasi. Ekstrak yang diperoleh kemudian diformulasikan dalam sediaan krim dengan cara pencampuran basis dengan ekstrak daun gedi. Krim ekstrak daun gedi selanjutnya dilakukan evaluasi dan uji nilai SPF secara in vitromenggunakan spektrofotometer UV-Vis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi konsentrasi ekstrak maka nilai sediaan SPF semakin tinggi dengan nilai yang diperoleh : 2,5% (11.922), 5% (23.172), 7,5% (33.384). Burm. f.) mengandung senyawa metabolit sekunder salah satunya flavonoid, yang memiliki aktivitas antioksidan yang dapat berperan menangkal radikal bebas seperti sinar ultraviolet (UV). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji krim ekstrak kulit buah lemon suanggi dalam potensinya sebagai tabir surya melalui penentuan nilai Sun Protection Factor (SPF) secara in vitro. Kulit buah lemon suanggi diekstraksi dengan metode maserasi menggunakan pelarut etanol 96%. Ekstrak kental yang diperoleh diformulasikan dalam bentuk sediaan krim yang kemudian dilanjutkan dengan evaluasi sediaan krim. Penentuan nilai SPF krim ekstrak etanol kulit buah lemon suanggi dilakukan secara in vitro menggunakan spektrofotometri UV-Vis dan dilanjukan perhitungan dengan persamaan Mansur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sifat fisik dari sediaan krim sudah memenuhi syarat untuk uji homogenitas, organoleptik, daya sebar, pH dan uji pemisahan fase, namun belum memenuhi syarat untuk uji daya lekat. Salah satu fungsi dari metabolit sekunder adalah sebagai antioksidan. Antioksidan merupakan senyawa yang dapat menghambat proses oksidasi yang diakibatkan oleh radikal bebas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas antioksidan dari spons Lamellodysidea herbacea yang diperoleh dari Pantai Selatan Kabupaten Minahasa. Penelitian ini merupakan eksperimental laboratorium dengan metode ekstraksi maserasi menggunakan pelarut etanol 95%. Pengujian antioksidan menggunakan metode DPPH (1.1-difenil-2-pikrihidrazil) dengan 4 seri konsentrasi sampel (25, 50, 75, 100 ppm) yang diukur menggunakan spektrofotometer UV-Vis dengan nilai absorbansi diukur pada panjang gelombang 517 nm. Hasil penelitian diperoleh rata-rata nilai persen inhibisi yang didapat pada konsentrasi 25, 50, 75, 100 ppm secara berturut-turut adalah 40,068%, 51,446%, 65,25%, 70,369%. Daun gedi hijau mengandung flavonoid, saponin, kuinon, dan tanin yang diketahui memiliki aktivitas antibakteri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memformulasikan krim dengan kandungan ekstrak etanol daun gedi dengan konsentrasi 15% serta menguji efektivitasnya terhadap bakteri Propionibacterium acnes. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan eksperimental laboratorium. Uji mutu sediaan krim dilakukan dengan Uji Organoleptis, Homogenitas, Daya Sebar, Daya Lekat, pH, dan Uji Sentrifugasi. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan Uji mutu sediaan krim menunjukkan sediaan krim yang dibuat memenuhi persyaratan sediaan krim yang baik yakni memiliki penampilan visual yang baik, homogen, pH (6,3 ± 0,115) yang tidak menyebabkan iritasi maupun kulit bersisik, daya sebar 5,233 ± 0,153 cm, daya lekat 6,160 ± 0,447, dan tidak terjadi pemisahan fase pada uji sentrifugasi. Bagian tanaman jeruk nipis (Citrus aurantifolia Swingle) yang banyak dimanfaatkan saat ini adalah buahnya. Buah jeruk nipis (Citrus aurantifolia Swingle.) telah banyak digunakan sebagai obat batuk, peluruh dahak, influenza, obat jerawat, penurun panas (antipireutik), diare, antiinflamasi, antireumatik, antikoagulan, antiinfeksi, dan antibakteri. Penelitian ini merupakan eksperimental laboratorium dengan pengujian terhadap perasan Jeruk Nipis (Citrus aurantifolia Swingle) dengan metode uji kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada atau tidaknya kandungan senyawa kimia pada perasan Jeruk Nipis (Citrus aurantifolia Swingle) dengan menggunakan metode uji alkaloid, flavonoid,tanin,fenol dan saponin. Hasil pengujian diperoleh kandungan senyawa kimia pada perasan jeruk nipis (Citrus aurantifolia Swingle) positif mengandung senyawa alkaloid, flavonoid, tanin dan fenol. Sedangkan pada saponin hasilnya negatif .

Administration of vitamin C can have a significant effect on increasing hemoglobin and aerobic resistance. Green beans (Phaseolus radiatus) can meet the needs of vitamin C and have biological activity as a source of antioxidants. The aim of the study was to determine the levels of vitamin C in the ethanol extract of mung bean sprouts with a standard solution of vitamin C as a positive control. The method consisted of extraction, determining the maximum wavelength, determining the standard curve, and measuring the levels of mung bean sprout ethanol extract and vitamin C standard solution. The results showed that the maximum wavelength in determining vitamin C content was 260 nm, and mung bean sprout ethanol extract had vitamin C content of 0.200 ppm at a dose of 20 ppm. This level is equivalent to the positive control, which is a standard 10 ppm vitamin C solution. Free radicals are unstable molecules that can damage body cells and cause oxidative stress. Antioxidants work by neutralizing free radicals to protect cells from damage and help maintain overall health. This study aims to test the antioxidant potential of ethanol extract of Halimeda opuntia algae taken from the southern coast of Minahasa Regency, North Sulawesi. Antioxidant activity was tested using DPPH (1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl) method. The decrease in absorbance value observed directly illustrates the decrease in the number of DPPH radicals remaining after the reaction between the extract and DPPH. The test results showed antioxidant levels that occurred at concentrations of 25 ppm (52.925%), 50 ppm (61.659%), 75 ppm (65.304%), and 100 ppm (70.112%). The test results show that the higher the concentration of ethanol extract of Halimeda opuntia algae, the stronger its ability to inhibit DPPH radicals. Purpose to test the antibacterial effectiveness of water hyacinth leaf extract against the growth of Porphyromonas gingivalis bacteria. The type of research used is the test method was disc diffusion. The samples were divided into 4 groups each given a concentration of 7.25%, 15%, 30%, 50%, positive control (Chlorhexidine gluconate 0.2%), and negative control (aquades). Result there were inhibition zones at concentrations of 7.25%, 15%, 30%, 50% water hyacinth leaf extract. The One Way Anova test showed p <0.05, which means that there was a difference in each treatment. The aim of the study was to evaluate the application of pharmaceutical services from the management of pharmaceutical preparations, medical devices and consumable medical materials at the TK II. hospital R.W. Mongisidi Manado based on the pharmaceutical service standards of the Republic of Indonesia Minister of Health no 72 of 2016. This research is descriptive qualitative using the observation method (checklist) supplemented by interviews, the results are processed descriptively, analyzed by grouping each part and presented in the form of a percent score. The results showed that the average total score was 82.18%. This study concludes that pharmaceutical services are from the management of pharmaceutical preparations, medical devices and consumable medical materials at the TK II. hospital R.W.
