Material and Methods: This research was designed as an analytical cross-sectional study and the ''Strengthening the Reporting of Observational Studies in Epidemiology'' checklist was used. As of 2020, all of the nurses (198,465) in Türkiye constituted the population of the study, and of 605 nurses (511 females, 94 males) that could be reached by the snowball method the sample. Data were collected online through the submission of a Personal Information Form and the COVID-19 Phobia Scale. The data were analyzed through SPSS software packages using Pearson's correlation and variance analyses. Results: Fear of COVID-19 was found to be higher in married nurses than were single nurses. In addition, it is indicated that nurses with children and women nurses have a high level of fear of COVID-19. The highest total scores were recorded in nurses with one child, those living in the Black Sea region, those working in intensive care units, and those with 6 to 10 years of work experience. Coronaphobia was higher in nurses who had tested positive or had at least one family member or friend test positive for COVID-19. Conclusion: Sex and having child stand out as important factors in coronaphobia. Nurses with more professional experience and those working in intensive care units also demonstrated higher levels of coronaphobia.","PeriodicalId":489949,"journal":{"name":"Türkiye klinikleri hemşirelik bilimleri dergisi","volume":"48 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135556005","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Material and Methods: The data for this cross-sectional study were collected from 276 nurses between March 2021 and March 2022 using the Happiness at Work Scale, the Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Well-Being Scale, and the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support. Results: MWB and perceived social support from friends, family and significant others have a direct and significant effect on intrinsic motivation for HAW (respectively β =0.428; β =0.238; β =-0.202; β =0.207; p<0.001). In addition, perceived friend support has a direct and significant effect on the supportive organizational experience of HAW ( β =0.242; p<0.001). MWB mediates the relationship between perceived social support from friends and significant others and intrinsic motivation for HAW (respectively β =0.085; β =0.077; p<0.05). Con-clusion: Nurses’ MWB and perceived social support levels affect their HAW. Nurses’ happiness levels at work are positively related to their MWB and perceived social support. Nurse managers should plan re-medial strategies taking into account the proposed model. Interventions are needed at the team, unit, and system levels to enhance nurses’ HAW.","PeriodicalId":489949,"journal":{"name":"Türkiye klinikleri hemşirelik bilimleri dergisi","volume":"49 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135557418","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Gereç ve Yöntemler: Araştırma, kesitsel ve tanımlayıcı tiptedir. Araştırmanın evreni ülkemizin batısında bulunan bir eğitim ve araştırma hastanesinde çalışan 450 hemşire, örneklemini ise 437 hemşire oluşturmuştur. Araştırma, 25 Mayıs-01 Temmuz 2022 tarihleri arasında, hemşirelerin kişisel bilgi formu ile El Hijyeni Ölçeği'nden oluşan veri toplama formu kullanılarak yapılmıştır. Veriler, ''SPSS'' istatistik paket programı yardımıyla, frekans ve yüzde dağılımı, aritmetik ortalama, varyans analizi, t-test, Pearson korelasyon analizi ve regresyon modeli ile analiz edilmiştir. Bulgular: Araştırmaya katılan hemşirelerin %46,5'i dahili birimde, %38,2'si 10 yıl ve üzeri hastanede çalışmakta, %27,9'u 42-49 yaş grubunda, %64,8'inin lisans mezunu olduğu saptanmıştır. Hemşirelerin EH konusunda tamamının eğitim aldığı, %22'sinin hastanede EH konusunda ekipman eksikliği olduğu belirlenmiştir. Hemşirelerin, EH'de %62,9'unun dezenfektan kullandığı, %69,1'inin el yıkadıktan sonra cilt problemi yaşadığı saptanmıştır. Bu çalışmada; hemşirelerin yaş, hastanede çalışma yılı, mezuniyet durumu, el yıkama ekipman eksikliği ve el yıkadıktan sonra cilt sorunu yaşam durumları ile El Hijyeni Ölçeği toplam puan ortalamaları arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı fark bulunmuştur (p<0,05). Sonuç: Pandemi sürecinde hemşirelerin El Hijyeni Ölçeği toplam puan ortalamalarının yüksek olduğu belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca hemşirelerin yaş, çalışma yılı, mezuniyet durumu, el yıkama ekipman eksikliği, el yıkadıktan sonra cilt sorunu yaşama durumları ile El Hijyeni Ölçeği toplam puan ortalamaları arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı fark belirlenmiştir. Hemşirelerin EH konusunda ekipman eksikliğinin giderilmesi, EH ürünlerine ulaşım imkânının kolaylaştırılması ve EH için kullanılan ürünlerinin güvenli olması önerilebilir.","PeriodicalId":489949,"journal":{"name":"Türkiye klinikleri hemşirelik bilimleri dergisi","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135556025","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
