Material and Methods: The study was conducted in accordance with the descriptive study method. The study was conducted with 511 people aged between 18-65, living in İ stanbul. Study data were collected using the Information Form, Turkey’s Health Literacy Scale-32. Results: In the study, it has been found that 46.4% of the individuals have inadequate health literacy. An strong positive correlation was found between the health literacy of individuals and their status of knowledge of COVID-19 and the protective measures they took regarding COVID-19. Conclusion: As the health literacy of individuals increases,the protective measures taken against COVID-19 increase,as well.Although the COVID-19 pandemic has reduced its impact today,it still continues to be a respiratory disease with a high risk of death all over the world.The high level of health literacy of the individual/society enables individuals to have knowledge about COVID-19,to distinguish be-tween true and false knowledge, to protect themselves from COVID-19,and to take the necessary protective measures (physical/social distance,wearing masks,hand washing,isolation/staying at home, etc.) to minimize the risk of contagion related to COVID-19.As a result of this study, it is recommended to increase the health literacy of the society.Thus, preventive measures against COVID-19 can be provided and the COVID-19 outbreak can be brought under control all over the world.","PeriodicalId":489949,"journal":{"name":"Türkiye klinikleri hemşirelik bilimleri dergisi","volume":"62 15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135551368","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Material and Methods: This research was conducted as a cross-sectional, descriptive and correlational study with a total of 349 (n=853) nurses in a university hospital in İstanbul between December 2020 and February 2021. Descriptive Information Form, Emotion Management Skill Scale and The Oxford Happiness Questionnaire-Short Form were used to collect the study data. The Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, Shapiro-Wilk test, Student's t-test, one-way analysis of variance and for multivariate analysis, linear regression analysis was used to evaluate the findings. Results: Average emotion management skill level of the nurses was found as 96.13±14.47, the average level of happiness was found as 22.78±4.28. Sex, working unit, expression of emotions verbally, expressing emotions as they are, controlling negative body responses, and coping and anger management scores significantly affected the total happiness score (23.6%, R2 =0.236) (F=11.639; p<0.01). Conclusion: Attempts to improve nurses' emotion management skills may increase their levels of happiness. Emotion management skills and levels of happiness of nurses should be at the desired level for them to make correct critical decisions on both their own lives and the patients they provide care for, their relatives, and other healthcare professionals. This study was conducted to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge of COVID-19 disease, sociodemographic characteristics and fear of COVID-19. Material and Methods: This study is a crosssectional research conducted on the web. 498 participants were included in the analysis after the sample with incomplete data entry and disrupting the normal distribution was removed. Data collection tools were sent to the participants via an online questionnaire link. Statistical data were evaluated with independent t-test, one-way analysis of variance, correlation and regression analysis by using SPSS 24 package program. Results: The mean age of the 498 participants included in the analysis in the study was 29.52 (minimum=18, maximum=72), and it was determined that 59.6% were women and 50% were associate degree graduates. The fear of COVID-19 is higher in women, those over 65, those with chronic diseases and those who perceive COVID-19 disease as a life threatening . It has been determined that there is a statistically significant, positive and weak relationship between individuals' fear of COVID-19 and gender, number of children, and a negative and strong relationship between COVID-19 disease threatens life and gender. When the regression analysis results are examined; when the significance of the variables used in the model was examined, it was found that the age and gender of COVID-19 disease was statistically significant for life threatening (p<0.05). Conclusion: It was found that the level of knowledge and fear of COVID-19 were not correlated, and that sociodemographic characteristics were related to the fear of COVID-19.","PeriodicalId":489949,"journal":{"name":"Türkiye klinikleri hemşirelik bilimleri dergisi","volume":"100 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135556367","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Gereç ve Yöntemler: Araştırmaya çocuk hastanesinde yatan 1-36 aylık bebeğe sahip 200 anne katıldı. Çalışmada bebeklerin klinik ile evdeki uyku süreleri çeşitli değişkenler açısından incelenmiştir. Araştırmada ''Bebek (Kısa) Uyku Sorunları Tanılama Formu'' ve literatür doğrultusunda araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan ''Bebek ve Uyku Bilgi Formu'' anketi kullanıldı. Bulgular: Bebeklerin yaş ortalaması 13,95±9,406 aydı. Bebekler evde toplam 8,25±1,784 saat, klinikte 7,21±1,792 saat uyuyordu. Klinikteki ebeveynlerin %69'u evden uyku objesi getirmiş olup, uyku objesi ile uyku süresi 7,37±1,644 saat iken, obje olmadan uyku süresi 6,85±2,055 saat bulundu. Bebeklerin klinikte uykusunu etkileyen olumsuz faktörlerin %42,5'ini tedavi saatinde hareketlilik-ses ve %14'ünü ziyaretçilerin giriş-çıkış sesleri oluşturdu. Bebeklerin klinikte uyku sorunu yaşadığı ve klinikteki uyku sürelerinin evdeki uyku sürelerine oranla daha az olduğu saptandı (p<0,001). Klinikte uyku objesi ile uyuyan bebeklerin uyku süreleri ile uyku objesi olmadan uyuyan bebeklerin uyku sürelerinde de anlamlı fark vardı (p<0,05). Sonuç: Bu çalışmada, bebeklerin klinikteki uyku sürelerinin daha az olduğu, uyku sorunu yaşadıkları, evden getirilen uyku objesinin bebeklerin uyku sürelerinin artmasına olumlu etki yaptığı bulundu. Bebeğin uykusunu olumsuz etkileyen faktörün en fazla klinikte tedavi saatinde hareketlilik-ses ve ziyaretçilerin giriş-çıkış sesleri olduğu görüldü. Klinikte bebeklerin uyku sorununu azaltmada tedavi ve takip saatlerinin, gece bebeklerin rutin uyku saatleri ile aynı zamanda olmaması önerilir.","PeriodicalId":489949,"journal":{"name":"Türkiye klinikleri hemşirelik bilimleri dergisi","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135551372","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
