Inappropriate terminology in the nursing practice environment may impact the quality of health care.\u0000Objective: The aim of this research is to identify the meaning of transcultural in concepts and theories and its relationship to the practice of the nursing profession.\u0000Methods: This paper was designed for Walker and Avant concept analysis. Reputable articles from indexing databases were used for review. “Transcultural” AND “Transcultural Nursing Practice” were the two key concepts used in the literature search. The inclusion criteria for articles to be retrieved were determined by the authors with high rigor. Then, an organizing framework was formulated using Walker and Avant’s conceptual analysis method. \u0000Results: Antecedents, attributes, and consequences are inferred from the keywords or sentences in each article. The antecedents in this study include immigrants, acculturation, immigration, emigration, cultural diversity, cultural competence, interpersonal caring, transcultural nursing, and cross-cultural comparisons. The attributes in this study encompass cultural exchange, overcoming obstacles, research development, changes to standards and operating procedures. The consequences of the transcultural concept for nursing practice include its impact on organizations, patients/clients, and nurses.\u0000Conclusions: We suggest that healthcare professional thoroughly comprehend transcultural concepts in nursing practice in order to effectively apply transcultural approaches in nursing practice. This is one way to improve the quality of healthcare services.

This is due to several factors, including the emergence of new disease variants, a rising number of cases, limited access to information, and nurses’ psychological well-being. Therefore, it is crucial for nurses to receive support from their leadership to effectively fulfill their roles\u0000Objective: To determine the key dimensions of compassionate leadership that have the greatest impact on the emotional well-being of nurses working in COVID-19 treatment rooms. \u0000Methods: The research design employs a cross-sectional approach, with the independent variable being compassionate leadership, encompassing dimensions such as presence, understanding, empathy, and assistance. The dependent variable under examination is emotional healing. The sampling technique applied is purposive sampling, resulting in a sample size of 200 respondents across eight treatment rooms.\u0000Results: Nurses, on the whole, perceived their leaders’ implementation of compassionate leadership during the pandemic crisis as fairly adequate, scoring it at 66.4%. As for emotional healing among nurses, it was, on average, fulfilled to a level of 68.3%. Importantly, there exists a significant relationship between compassionate leadership and emotional healing. Specifically, among the dimensions of compassionate leadership, the one that had the most substantial influence on nurses’ emotional healing was “helping”.\u0000Conclusion: Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic crisis in hospitals, nurses required assistance and support from leadership to navigate the challenges encountered while actively providing care. These interventions could be effectively incorporated by nurses to complement ongoing tuberculosis treatment therapies.

Optimal management of sepsis shock necessitates a collaborative approach involving an interprofessional team inclusive of Intensive Care Unit (ICU) nurses. Prompt and accurate recognition of its clinical presentation is paramount for critical care nurses to ensure timely and effective intervention.\u0000Objective: This case report aims to elucidate the nursing care analysis of sepsis shock patients through the application of the one-hour sepsis bundle.\u0000Case: This case study revolves around a 69-year-old female admitted to the ICU due to sepsis shock secondary to pleural effusion and lung tumor. The patient exhibited hallmark indicators of sepsis shock, including hypotension necessitating vasoconstrictive support, fever peaking at 38.8°C, leukocytosis at 36.91 x 10^3/?L, elevated lactate levels at 2.7 mmol/L, and inadequate peripheral perfusion. Nursing diagnosis predominantly focused on assessing the risk of shock in the presence of sepsis and hypotension. The patient underwent immediate implementation of the one-hour sepsis bundle, commencing from the emergency room through ICU admission. Nursing interventions encompassed sepsis screening, continuous hemodynamic monitoring, fluid balance assessment, vigilance in maintaining airway patency, and meticulous infection control measures. \u0000Conclusion: Subsequent to fluid resuscitation and initiation of inotropic and vasopressor support, notable improvements in hemodynamics were observed. However, persistent elevation in lactate levels underscored metabolic dysfunction, necessitating sustained vasopressor support beyond the seventh day of treatment due to refractory shock and multi-organ failure. The adoption of the one-hour sepsis bundle emerges as a recommended guideline for nursing management in sepsis shock patients.

The infection of children and toddlers with TB often stems from the lack of involvement by family members in adhering to proper hygiene practices aimed at preventing TB transmission. Objective: This study aimed to assess the impact of peer group support and motivational interviewing on parental behaviors in preventing TB transmission among children residing in the same household as a TB patient. Methods: Employing a quasi-experimental design (pre-post test with a single group), this study involved 30 parents selected through accidental sampling. The independent variables included peer group support and motivational interviewing, while the dependent variable was parental behavior concerning TB prevention in children. Data collection utilized a questionnaire assessing parents’ behaviors in preventing TB in children, which was then analyzed using the paired t-test.Results: The implementation of peer group support and motivational interviewing significantly influenced the enhancement of parental behaviors in preventing TB in children (p < 0.001).Conclusion: Both peer group support and motivational interviewing demonstrated their efficacy in altering parental behavior to prevent TB in children residing with a TB patient. These interventions could be effectively incorporated by nurses to complement ongoing tuberculosis treatment therapies.

OSA is a dangerous health condition with high mortality and morbidity. Due to the rising prevalence of obesity, OSA is on the rise in developing countries. Nevertheless, the exact number of OSA prevalence among Indonesian people is unrecognized for several reasons; for instance, low awareness of sleep disorder issues, unawareness of the symptoms and impact of OSA, limited access to polysomnography examinations, and considering snoring as a common condition. Long-term health effects, decreased sleep quality, psychological issues, and cognitive impairment are all linked to untreated OSA. Nurses can contribute to the management of OSA by conducting screening and assessment, providing health promotion to patients, and coordinating with other healthcare providers. This paper explores the prevalence of OSA, society’s perception of OSA, diagnostic or screening procedures, and treatment options for the effective management of OSA.
