One of the strategies to reduce the menace environmental pollution is the development of the concept of circular economy whose major thrust is the concept of conversion of waste to wealth. The aim of this research is to optimize the production of a new nanocomposite material developed from Al-Si-Mg Alloy derived from waste beverage cans, carbon nanotubes (CNTs) derived from rice husks and nanoparticles from periwinkle shells. The multi-objective optimization of the porosity, hardness and compressive strength of the novel composite was done using the Taguchi method, Artificial Neural Network (ANN), and Nondominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm-II (NSGA-II). The ANN utilized the following input parameters: Weight percentage (wt%) of CNTs, Weight percentage (wt%) of PWSnp, stirring speed (rpm) and Stirring time (minutes). The outputs predicted by the ANN were: Porosity, Hardness, Compressive strength. To achieve optimal porosity, hardness, and compressive strength, the Taguchi-grey relational methodology was employed to simultaneously optimize the production parameters of the composite. The optimal values determined were as follows: 1.5 wt% of CNTs, 1.0 wt% of PWSnp, 100 rpm stirring speed, and 6 min of stirring time with porosity, hardness, and compressive strength values of 0.3250, 108.2738 and 410.6436 respectively. The ANN demonstrated excellent predictive capability, exhibiting correlation coefficients of 0.9617, 0.9536, and 0.9725 for the porosity, hardness, and compressive strength of the composite material, respectively. Next, the ANN was utilized as a fitness function within NSGA-II to perform multi-objective optimization for the porosity, hardness, and compressive strength of the novel material. The objective is to find a production plan that minimizes production, setup, and inventory holding costs while meeting the demands of products for each period without delay for a given planning horizon. Since the studied problem is NP-hard, we proposed metaheuristic approaches, Variable Neighborhood Search, Variable Neighborhood Descent, and Reduced Variable Neighborhood Search algorithms to analyze their performance on the problem. Initially, we presented an initial solution generation method to satisfy each period’s demand. Then, we defined insert, swap, and fractional insert moves for generating neighborhood solutions. We employed an adaptive constraint handling technique to enlarge the search space by accepting infeasible solutions during the search. Lastly, we performed computational experiments over the benchmark instances. Improper handling of such situations can lead to a significant risk to the safety of these structures, thereby rendering construction activities particularly challenging. To effectively reduce these effects in the shield tunnel proximity construction, a comprehensive deformation control strategy of implementing isolation pile and steel lateral bracing after sleeve valve pipe grouting is proposed. The internal force and deformation characteristics of existing pile foundation groups are studied and compared with conventional reinforcement measures. The results show that grouting reinforcement and isolation pile reinforcement have limited effect, while the reinforcement efficiency of the comprehensive deformation control strategy exceeds 200%, which is more effective in controlling pile displacement and internal forces. Compared to no reinforcement, the maximum axial force and bending moment of existing pile foundations are reduced by 77% and 60%, respectively, while the maximum horizontal displacement and vertical settlement are reduced by 76% and 19%, respectively. To reflect the NOx emissions of heavy-duty vehicles more realistically, the restrictions on driving conditions will likely be relaxed in the next emission standard for heavy-duty vehicles. In this study, several tests with different payloads were conducted on a China VI heavy-duty vehicle under two different driving conditions. The test results show that some NOx emissions “spikes” may occur in any driving type during the tests of heavy-duty vehicles, and they are mainly related to the NOx conversion efficiency of the SCR system. In general, there is no obvious relevance between the NOx emission rate and the driving type, but the increase of the vehicle speed is beneficial to maintain the temperature of the SCR system in the high-efficiency zone, thus reducing the NOx emission rate. The variation of driving conditions will cause a change in the valid windows of the test, which will lead to a change in the evaluation results of NOx emission compliance. Adding motorway driving to the test route significantly increases the power threshold of the valid windows and reduces specific NOx emissions of the valid windows, with a minimum reduction of more than 30% and a maximum reduction of nearly 50% for “SE<sub>NOx-90</sub>” in this study. The variation in driving conditions can severely affect the true NOx emissions assessment, especially for low-payload tests. The present study investigates for the first time the effects of processing parameters on the <strong>I-S</strong> of thick tri-material based layered (Tmbl) composite of Polylactic acid (PLA), Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol (PETG), and Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) fabricated via Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF). 3 process parameters are varied in three levels each, whereas the <strong>I-S</strong> is chosen as output. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) is conducted. The surface plots of the significant parameter interactions are plotted showing the effects-trends of each variable on the <strong>I-S</strong> of the composite and various inter-layer, macro and micro observation of the composite was also performed using optical microscopy. It was observed that various shortcomings such as pores, delamination, peeling-like structure formation occurred at high layer thickness (<strong>t</strong>), high printing speed (<strong>v</strong>) and low infill density (<strong>ρ)</strong> whereas, there was absence of substantial defects at high <strong>ρ</strong>. Therefore, it was concluded that the selected parameters are significantly affecting the <strong>I-S</strong> of the composite. In this paper, a novel coal-rock drilling states recognition method of drilling robot for rockburst prevention is proposed. Firstly, different coal-rock drilling signals are collected and processed by using improved antlion optimization (ALO) algorithm and variational mode decomposition (VMD). Meanwhile, the elite opposition-based learning (EOL) strategy is used to improve the global search ability and optimization performance of ALO, and the EOL-ALO is developed and employed to automatically search the optimal key parameters of VMD. Subsequently, the root mean square of frequency and kurtosis are used to extract the feature information from the decomposed signals and the singular value decomposition method is employed to reduce the dimensionality of high-dimensional feature vectors. Furthermore, an improved D-S evidence theory is developed to fuse the recognition results of support vector machine through a single sensor information and the fusion recognition framework of coal-rock drilling states is designed. Finally, a coal-rock drilling experimental platform is established and some experimental analysis is carried out. However, the selection of these features can be difficult, and results can be alleviated if it is wrongly selected. This study proposes a methodology that helps identify the optimal feature from eight time-domain statistical features using supervised machine learning algorithms. In this work, 44 milling experiments have been performed and labelled as chatter, transient, and stable states by observing the tool-machining condition. Subsequently, the eight time-domain-based features, i.e. mean, variance, peak-to-peak, root mean square, crest factor, form factor, kurtosis and skewness, have been calculated. After that, four machine learning techniques, i.e., random forest, gradient boosting, support vector machine and logistic regression, were utilized, and their accuracy score was 92.86 %, 96.8 %, 94.8 % and 91 %, respectively. After that, their feature score was evaluated to investigate the effectiveness of all 8 time domain-based features. Feature scores for mean, variance, peak-to-peak, root mean square, crest factor, form factor, kurtosis and skewness are 0.28, 0.25, 0.11, 0.095, 0.085, 0.08, 0.065 and 0.035, respectively. In recent years, wireless power transfer in electronic textiles (e-textiles) or smart textiles has seen rapid growth with the advancement of textile materials and flexible electronic components. Although many reviews and surveys on WPT can be found in the literature for other popular fields, this is not the case for the application of WPT in e-textiles. To address this issue, a comparative review of previous literature on WPT in e-textiles is presented in this paper. The textile-based WPT systems have been categorized according to their transmitter (Tx) and receiver (Rx) properties, Tx and Rx fabrication technique, applied substrate, operating frequency, power level, and achieved efficiency. The tabular analysis of different parameters acts as a platform for researchers, manufacturers, and industry personnel to acquire information and data for evaluating different textile-based WPT systems. These nanobeams are modeled as non-Fourier heat conduction. In our formulation, the equation of motion and the principle of energy conservation from two coupled partial differential equations have been driven. A direct approach has been used to find the solutions to the governing equations using the Laplace transform definition. Numerical Laplace transform inversion was calculated using Hoing's approximation approach. Solutions have been applied to silicon nitride (Si3N4) nanobeam ceramics. Figures show the distribution of temperature increment, lateral deflection, and stress with different values of magnetic field and several thermal load parameters. In all the studied nanobeam functions, the magnetic field and several thermal loads’s parameters have significant effects. They could be used as tuners to control the vibration and temperature increment. In the present study, a moving heat source, and different thermal loads have been applied to a non-Fourier nanobeam exposed to a magnetic field. They are at the heart of the fabric of architecture and urbanism and participate fundamentally in the embellishment of their building facades. The importance of urbanism lies in what murals offer in terms of different themes that make them capable of changing the feeling about buildings and beautifying their facades. Murals are considered one of the most important visual determinants in any space in addition to their role as an element of aesthetics necessary for any architectural entity. They are also used to express the social and cultural identity of societies and are a powerful means of linking the past and present and documenting the most important events affecting society and its inhabitants. This research paper provides an analysis of the different aspects that must be taken into account when designing murals in urban areas. Design considerations, scientific and technical standards that govern the basics of mural design, and how they should be employed as one of the elements of space in an integrated system that designers should consider when drawing murals according to a concept that is consistent with architecture and urbanism. The research aims to achieve the foundations of mural design by designing and implementing murals in residential cities that improve the behavior of residents. In this paper the aim of this research is to explore the basics of designing murals by implementing them in residential areas. The goal is to improve the behavior of residents through the use of these murals. The research hypotheses are that modifying or adding design principles to existing murals in residential areas can improve public taste and lead to better behavior among residents.
