Talent management is one of the important issues that has become a topic of conversation in the world of human resource management. This is a logical consequence of the limited availability of talent, while the need for them continues to increase. One of the signs of this era is increasingly fierce business competition, including the necessity for local companies to compete with companies from regional and even global environments. Every company wants to dominate business and market competition. In realizing this there are three assets that must be owned by a company, namely financial capital, products and labor, but among the three most important assets is the workforce they have. Companies must be able to get and retain the best employees.","PeriodicalId":487843,"journal":{"name":"East Asian Journal of Multidisciplinary Research","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135900504","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study aimed to determine how using Quizizz in a Filipino class would change how motivated and interested the students were. The study used a modified questionnaire and quasi-experimental research design. Descriptive analysis, mean, percentage and standard deviation were used to assess students' motivation and interest in Quizizz and traditional instruction. A paired samples t-test was used to see if there was a difference between how motivated and engaged students were in learning in a Filipino class that used standard methods and one that used Quizizz. Based on the study, there was a big difference between the traditional way and Quizizz in how motivated and interested the students were in learning. The study found that using Quizizz in a Filipino class makes students more curious and want to learn more.","PeriodicalId":487843,"journal":{"name":"East Asian Journal of Multidisciplinary Research","volume":"60 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134978936","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

While the company expects to achieve maximum profits, high profits will make the company's value high, as a result of which it can prosper its shareholders. The company therefore minimizes tax payments through planning and tax avoidance. This study aims to test the effect of tax planning and tax avoidance on firm value in food and beverage subsector manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the 2019–2021 period. This study used secondary data. Measuring the value of the firm using PBV (price to book value), which is the market price per share divided by the book value of the shares, The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. Of the 26 manufacturing companies in the food and beverage subsector, only 17 met the sample criteria for this study. The analysis method used is multiple linear regression. By using regression analysis, it can be partially known that tax planning affects the value of the company. Meanwhile, tax avoidance does not affect the value of the company. Simultaneously, it can be seen that tax planning and tax avoidance do not affect the value of the company.","PeriodicalId":487843,"journal":{"name":"East Asian Journal of Multidisciplinary Research","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134979579","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This article underscores the importance of involving patients and their families in healthcare services, with a focus on effective communication, cultural differences, varied levels of patient engagement, access to information, privacy, and resource constraints. The concept of \"Person-Centered Care\" epitomizes the effort to engage patients in making decisions about their care, supported by theories and expert models such as the Patient Engagement Model and the Shared DecisionMaking Approach. To overcome the barriers to patient engagement, it is essential to provide training for medical staff, foster cultural awareness, ensure secure technology, and allocate resources judiciously. These measures will enhance the quality of care, safety, satisfaction, emotional support, and the efficiency of long-term care management. Patient and family engagement forms the cornerstone of quality and holistic healthcare in an increasingly complex healthcare landscape.","PeriodicalId":487843,"journal":{"name":"East Asian Journal of Multidisciplinary Research","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135032003","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
