In a preliminary interview, professional, social, and personal factors were identified that contribute to the formation of a burnout syndrome. The set of methods of the main empirical study included Maslach–Jackson burnout questionnaires, Thomas–Kilman style of conflict behavior, Hall's emotional intelligence, Lazarus–Folkman coping test, methods for diagnosing the professional communicative competence of doctor Yakovleva and style self-regulation of Morasanova's behavior. It was revealed that certain symptoms of burnout are typical for 31% of residents who participated in the study. The results of the correlation analysis show numerous connections between burnout syndrome indicators both with personality traits that contribute to the formation of typical symptoms (tendency to confrontation, avoidance and distancing in social contacts, striving for excessive independence with a lack of professional experience), and determining personal resistance to negative professional factors (the desire for cooperation, compromise and, in general, the formation of adequate communication skills in interaction with patients and colleagues, rational coping strategies, productive components of self-regulation). The targets of psychological prevention and correction of professional burnout among residents were identified. Based on the results of the study, program, that includes information-diagnostic, consulting-correctional and educational-developing directions, has been developed and introduced into the educational process at a medical university.","PeriodicalId":486685,"journal":{"name":"Ličnostʹ v menâûŝemsâ mire: zdorovʹe, adaptaciâ, razvitie","volume":"76 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135039023","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the last decade, there has been an increase in forms of self-destructive behavior, which causes great interest to the chosen research area. The study sample consisted of 90 participants: 30 men dependent on alcohol; 30 men, fans of extreme sports; 30 men (control group) who do not drink alcohol and do not engage in dangerous sports. The research tools used were the test of life-meaning orientations by D. A. Leontyev, a technique of unfinished sentences aimed at identifying ideas about oneself, about attitudes to various aspects of reality (primarily to life and death). The research revealed differences among the study groups in terms of meaningfulness, direction, and controllability of life. Representatives with alcohol dependence demonstrated reduced values in many parameters of attitude towards life and towards themselves, and did not demonstrate interest in finding the meaning of life. It is typical for fans of extreme sports to take an active life position, make plans for the future, fill their activities with meaning and be completely satisfied with their lives.","PeriodicalId":486685,"journal":{"name":"Ličnostʹ v menâûŝemsâ mire: zdorovʹe, adaptaciâ, razvitie","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135039469","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Meanwhile, there are a large number of scientific studies proving that the lack of physical activity can lead to serious malfunctions in the functioning of all body systems, including the nervous system. Disturbance in the structure and functioning of the brain leads to a deterioration in cognitive functions and an increase in the risk of neurodegenerative diseases. On the other hand, a moderately high level of physical activity can improve the functioning of the brain and increase the structural and cognitive reserve, which will help the nervous system to adapt to age-related changes effectively. Walking and running are one of the most common types of exercise, and can be present even in the lives of people who are not involved in sports activities. It has been shown that even low-intensity walking can contribute to cognitive improvements for people of any age and gender. Moderate-intensity running, in particular endurance running, also has a positive effect on the structure and functioning of the brain. The main effects of walking and running relate primarily to memory and executive functions, which is true for both humans and animals.","PeriodicalId":486685,"journal":{"name":"Ličnostʹ v menâûŝemsâ mire: zdorovʹe, adaptaciâ, razvitie","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135039464","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
