According to Blum's theory, the high number of dental and oral health problems can be caused by four main factors which include behavior, environment, health services and heredity which are based on a lack of knowledge about the importance of maintaining dental and oral health. Objective: This study aims to analyze the relationship of knowledge about maintaining dental health and oral hygiene conditions in students of the SPN Polda South Kalimantan dictuba. Methods: This research is an analytic observational study with a cross sectional approach. The sampling technique used simple random sampling with a total sample of 35 people. Test analysis using the SPSS application with the somers'd method. Results: The results of the study showed that knowledge of dental and oral health was a good level of knowledge and the OHIS index was included in the good category. The tooth whitening agent that is often used is carbamide peroxide which is applied directly to the tooth enamel surface. Several factors that can affect tooth enamel are the degree of acidity or potential hydrogen (pH), acid concentration, dissolving time and the presence of calcium-like ions. Communities in Banjarmasin City still frequently use PDAM water for consumption and for their daily needs. Objective: To analyze the effect of immersing PDAM water and distilled water on the hardness of tooth enamel after the application of 20% carbamide peroxide. Methods: This study used a true experimental method with a posttest-only with control group design consisting of 4 treatment groups namely positive control PDAM water, negative control Aquatic water, group 1 carbamide peroxide 20% and PDAM water, and group 2 carbamide peroxide 20% and distilled water. Tooth enamel hardness was measured using a Vickers microhardness tester. Results: analysis of the One Way Anova test with Post-Hoc Bonferroni showed that there was a significant difference in violence in each group (p>0.05). In Tanah Bumbu District, children aged over 3 years had a proportion of 50.74% with broken teeth, cavities and pain. Dental caries can cause disruption of children's quality of life such as sleep disturbances, eating disorders, loss of concentration in learning, infections, and other dangerous cases in children. Objective: To determine the relationship between parenting style and caries towards OHRQoL in preschool-aged children in Sungai Loban District. Method: Analytic observational study with a cross sectional approach. The sampling technique of non-probability sampling uses quota sampling. The population is all kindergartens in Sungai Loban District, namely 23 kindergartens with 918 children. The minimum sample size was calculated using the correlational analytic formula and the results obtained were 40 respondents consisting of parents and children taken from 3 kindergartens, namely Harapan Bersama Kindergarten, Taman Sari Kindergarten and Tunas Dewata Kindergarten, Sungai Loban District. Results: Most parents' parenting style has a democratic pattern; the average def-t index is 5.5 and belongs to the high category. The results of the Spearman correlation test showed that there was not a relationship between parenting style and OHRQoL (p>0.05). The results of the Spearman correlation test analysis showed that there was a relationship between caries and OHRQoL (p<0.05). Results: analysis of the One Way Anova test with Bonferroni's Post-Hoc showed no difference in roughness between the PDAM water immersion and distilled water groups with or without the application of 20% carbamide peroxide (p>0.05). There was a difference in roughness between the group that was given carbamide peroxide and the group that was not given carbamide peroxide 20% (p<0.05). Objective: Analyzing the association between young dentists' service quality in the treatment of acrylic complete dentures and patient satisfaction at the Gusti Hasan Aman Oral Dental Hospital. Method: The study used an observational-analytic method with a cross-sectional research design and a simple random sampling technique. A sample of 38 people was obtained using a research instrument, namely a questionnaire. Results: According to the study's findings, the majority of complete denture users at the Gusti Hasan Aman Oral Dental Hospital were between the ages of 55 and 64 (55-64%). According to the gender of the study's findings, the majority of complete denture users at the Gusti Hasan Aman General Hospital (60.52%) were women. According to the study's findings based on education level, the majority of complete denture users at the Gusti Hasan Aman General Hospital were elementary school educated (50%). According to the findings of the study on the service quality of young dentists, the majority of patients (98.4%) believed they received satisfactory service. Patients were satisfied with the treatment (84.2%), according to the results based on patient satisfaction. The findings of the Somer's d test were 0.000. Chitosan haruan fish scale (Channa striata) has the potential to be an anti-demineralization agent. Objective: Analyze the effect of immersing teeth in chitosan solution of 2.5% and 5% Haruan fish scales (Channa striata) on levels of phosphate release. Method: This study used the true experimental method with a posttest-only control group design consisting of 3 treatment groups, namely the negative control, the 2.5% group and the 5% group. All groups were immersed in lactic acid solution pH 5.2. Measurement of phosphate release levels using a uv-vis spectrophotometer. Results: The results of the One Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) test obtained a value of p = 0.00 <0.05 which indicated that the hypothesis was accepted or that there was an effect of soaking the teeth in chitosan solution of Haruan fish scales (Channa striata) with a concentration of 2.5% and 5% on phosphate release . The Bonferroni Post Hoc Test showed that there were significant differences in all groups, namely the negative control group with the 2.5% and 5% groups, the 2.5% group and the 5% group. Rugae palatina is one of the organs in the oral cavity that is unique in that there is no same pattern between individuals. This pattern also has peculiarities between individuals and gender. Palatine rugae can also be inherited from parents to children. Purpose: To analyze the inheritance of palatine rugae from parents to children in Banjar Ethnicity. Method: The method used in this research is analytic research with cross sectional method. This study was conducted on 32 families or 96 people whose number of students was divided into 16 men and 16 women. This study was conducted with photographic techniques using fullframe cameras and lenses, occlusal mirrors, LED lights. The results of photography are carried out in the editing stage in the photoshop application with the pentool feature. The data obtained and analyzed using the contingency coefficient correlation test. Results: The results showed a correlation in palatal rugae patterns. The father-offspring and mother-offspring contingency coefficient scores (0.708, 0.760) respectively which indicated a strong correlation in shape patterns between offspring and their parents. These correlations were statistically significant (p value ≤ 0.05). Conclusion: There is a strong and significant inheritance of palatine rugae between father and mother in children. There are differences in the manufacture of dentures made by dentists and dental artisans, both in terms of quality, indications, contraindications, and cost. Purpose: To analyze the comparison of the level of satisfaction of people who use dentures made by dentists and dentists in Banjarmasin. Method: Using a comparative analytical method with a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique uses quota sampling. The population is Dentist and Dentist patients in Banjarmasin City. The minimum sample size is calculated using the Lemeshow formula and the results are 100 samples. Results:. Analysis of the Mann Whitney test data yielded a significant value of 0.000 <0.05 which indicated that the H0 decision was rejected or meant that there was a difference in satisfaction with dentures made by dentists and dental artisans. If left untreated, infection will lead to pulpal necrosis. Root canal treatment can prevent caries from developing into necrosis. The success of treatment is influenced by the preparation and irrigation stages. One of the bacteria that survived after the treatment was Streptococcus mitis. The irrigation solution used in treatment is a 2% chlorhexidine gluconate. Ethanol extract from Ramania leaves is known to contain flavonoids, phenols, alkaloids, steroids and terpenoids which proven to have antibacterial activity. Objective: To analyze the antibacterial effectiveness of Ramania leaf extract concentrations of 10%, 15%, 20%, 25% and 30% against the growth of Streptococcus mitis . Methods: The research conducted was a true experimental study with 6 treatment groups and 4 repetitions. This study used broth and agar dilution methods to determine the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) and the minimum bactericidal concentration (MBC) of ramania leaf extract against Streptococcus mitis. Results: The MIC was shown by 10% concentration with a decrease in absorbance value of 1.726. The MBC in this study were not found because there was still bacterial growth in the concentrations of 10%, 15%, 20%, 25% and 30%. Conclusion: Ramania leaf extract concentrations of 10%, 15%, 20%, 25% and 30% can inhibit the growth of Streptococcus mitis with MIC value at a concentration of 10%. The MBC value was not found because the extract had not been able to kill the growth of Streptococcus mitis.
