The efficient way to achieve high performance large antenna arrays is hybrid precoding techniques that shall be applied at the base stations (BS) and Mobile Stations (MS). It's found that the full digital precoding with large antenna arrays consumes high power and high hardware cost. In this paper, the current work presents low complexity hybrid precoding and combining techniques with limited feedback system, based on orthogonal matching pursuit (OMP) algorithm for both single and multi-user cases and compared its results with analog only beasm steering. Moreover, the methods have been studied used to describe hybrid precoding technique are Minimum Mean Square Error (MMSE), Zero Forcing (ZF), and analog only beam steering. Simulation results show that the Minimum Mean Square Error (MMSE) precoders performed better than other hybrid precoding approaches. In addition, MMSE hybrid precoding /combining technique offers higher spectral efficiency compared with analog only beam steering with large antennas arrays.","PeriodicalId":485207,"journal":{"name":"Maǧallaẗ Kulliyyaẗ Dār Al-ʿulūm","volume":"20 4","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135873080","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research aims to assess built-up seasonal variations of air pollution maps over Cairo city in Egypt using remote sensing data. Land Surface Temperature (LST) data was obtained from the MODIS Terra Satellite data, speci fi cally the MOD11A1 V6 product, from January to December 2022. The Sentinel-5 project utilizes the tropospheric monitoring instrument (TROPOMI) sensor to capture images across different spectral bands, enabling precise monitoring of air pollution levels. The concentration data of NO 2 , CO, and SO 2 were extracted from Sentinel-5P using Google Earth Engine (GEE), which was utilized extensively in this study. The study found that the eastern region had the highest levels of NO 2 and CO emissions, attributed to transportation and heating in densely populated areas. The northern region had the highest SO 2 emissions due to industrial activities. Higher pollution levels were observed during colder months, which can be attributed to the temperature version phenomenon. However, summer pollutants pose greater health risks to humans. The statistical analysis showed a positive correlation between average pollutant concentrations (NO 2 , CO, SO 2 ) and mean LST in 2022, with R-squared values indicating moderate associations (0.3757 for NO 2 , 0.2865 for CO, and 0.1774 for SO 2 ). Additionally, the exponential smoothing (ETS) algo-rithm was employed to forecast a time series, and the results were evaluated by comparing the original and predicted values, calculating the root-mean-square (RMS) error to validate the approach. The fi ndings demonstrate that the ETS is highly effective and precise. Our study provides a spatio-temporal analysis of air quality monitoring in Cairo using Sentinel-5 satellite data and highlights the spatial and temporal patterns of NO 2 concentrations and LST in the region. The fi ndings of the study indicate that Cairo City ' s air quality is signi fi cantly compromised because of urban expansion, the rise in vehicular activity, and the rapid growth of industries. Consequently, the deteriorating air quality directly contributes to the city ' s climate change issues.","PeriodicalId":485207,"journal":{"name":"Maǧallaẗ Kulliyyaẗ Dār Al-ʿulūm","volume":"98 ","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136068931","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The inherent benefits of social media over traditional news media include its low cost and ease of access. In addition, publishing a news article requires less content censorship on social media. The rapid spread of \"fake news\" on social media, that is, news that contains intentionally false information, has a significant negative impact on society. For instance, false information about the coronavirus disease \"2019\" has spread around the world like a virus. Therefore, developing effective methods to detect fake news early has great importance. In this paper, the (Efficient Hybrid Features Fake News Detection Methodology) EHF-FNDM model was proposed. It is a classification model for early detection of fake news based on hybrid features. This model was developed to identify fake news based on user profiles, tweets, and replies. It has a user model that can realize whether a user is spreading fake news or not. This user model was essential in determining whether or not the tweet was fake.","PeriodicalId":485207,"journal":{"name":"Maǧallaẗ Kulliyyaẗ Dār Al-ʿulūm","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135618497","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Architectural design software programs have recently made an impressive development, especially those that use artificial intelligence. AI could transform design and construction with tools enabling generative design, parametric modeling, simulation, and optimization. However, AI’s impact remains unclear. Adoption depends on architects leveraging AI to augment judgment rather than replace it. Factors limiting AI include limited education/experience, threats to creative skills architects value, and unreliable AI design tools. While many see AI as an opportunity, not an endangerment, optimism and uncertainty prevail. AI may ultimately enhance design possibilities, not eliminate architects. With experimentation, benefits could include optimized performance, data insights, and offloading routine work. But this vision requires partnership, not replacement, of human design thinking. Barriers include job security concerns, lack of AI integration, and perception of automation threat instead of augmentation. But AI could catalyze new collaborative and sustainable solution-finding frontiers if progress is progressive rather than reactionary. This paper explores the Egyptian architects’ points of view regarding the significant evolution of that type of software and foresees their readiness to adapt to this decisive variable. It also provides recommendations that will guide architectural education strategies in the near future.","PeriodicalId":485207,"journal":{"name":"Maǧallaẗ Kulliyyaẗ Dār Al-ʿulūm","volume":"159 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135618493","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These systems are very attractive from an economic viewpoint, combining wide spans, quick erection, and easy access to services between the shallow parts of the beam and the ceiling below. Elastic-local buckling is one of several modes of failure that must be considered during the structure design. Although elastic-local buckling has been studied for decades, there is still a need to develop quick and comprehensive procedures that will reduce product design time, particularly during the pre-sizing stage. Most design codes have no specific provisions for the particular case of non-rectangular panels, stating that they may conservatively be treated as rectangular panels with a larger width. This paper presented an extensive numerical analysis to estimate the critical local buckling coefficient of two typologies for trapezoidal tapered steel web plate girders with simply supported end conditions. The considered loading conditions are compression and bending stresses. Moreover, the study identifies the relative importance of several parameters that influence the local buckling phenomenon, such as the tapering ratio of the panel, normalized plate length, and ratio of minimum and maximum compressive stresses. Numerical results are used to propose approximate closed-form expressions that can be used to compute the local buckling coefficient. Additionally, the elastic local buckling coefficients obtained from the proposed formulas were compared with the buckling coefficient predicted by both AISC and ECP-LRFD specifications. The proposed formulas are also verified against results obtained from nonlinear numerical analysis based on the finite element technique. The results indicate that the proposed formulas are valid for directly estimating the critical local buckling coefficient of trapezoidal tapered steel web plates. However, it is worth noting that the AISC and ECP-LRFD specifications have been shown to provide conservative predictions when calculating the local buckling coefficient for trapezoidal tapered steel web plate girders under stress gradients.","PeriodicalId":485207,"journal":{"name":"Maǧallaẗ Kulliyyaẗ Dār Al-ʿulūm","volume":"41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136358250","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
