Wilfredo Pareto held the view that wealth was unevenly distributed and that approximately 20% of the global population had 80% of the wealth, whilst 80% of the populace had only 20% of the wealth. This theory has survived many generations and is still given the prominence to the extent that most people, including entrepreneurs, have accepted the theory and live under its shadows. However, the researcher has carried out this study to give a ray of hope to the marginalized ‘trivial many’ in society, including entrepreneurs; that the ‘80/20’ rule by Wilfredo Pareto should not be a command to constrict people to their predicament, especially with the advent of technology. Rather, they should extricate themselves from this unfavourable position and be empowered to keep proper records of their businesses which should be supported with the best performance/management to enhance their economic status within the market they operate.","PeriodicalId":479838,"journal":{"name":"British Journal of Multidisciplinary and Advanced Studies","volume":"209 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135484881","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research investigated the levels of Cd, Cr, Cu, Fe, Mn, Ni, Pb, and Zn in poultry feeds, water samples, and broilers obtained from poultry farms randomly sampled within Uyo Metropolis. These poultry-related products were obtained, treated, and analysed spectrophotometrically using standard analytical techniques. Results showed that, the concentrations of all the metals in poultry feeds and broiler meat were within their recommended limits however, mean levels of Cd and Fe in water sample was higher than their permissible limits. Concentrations in poultry feeds were generally higher than their levels in broiler meat. Multivariate analyses indentified varied factors responsible for the accumulation of these metals in feeds, water samples, and broiler meat examined. The estimated daily intake (EDI) of Cd, Fe, and Zn were higher than their oral reference doses (Rfds) for both the children and adults’ populations. The hazard quotients (HQ) of Cd, Fe, Pb, and Zn for both populations were also higher than one (1). The hazard index of the metals for populations were higher than one but, the children class were more susceptible to non-carcinogenic risks. The incremental lifetime cancer risk (ILCR) for the carcinogens varied between medium to very high cancer risk classes. The total cancer risk (TCR) for the children and adults’ populations were 1.54E-01 and 1.43E-01, respectively higher than the standard limits. The relative risk (RR) analysis identified Cd as metal with the highest potential to cause cancer and non-cancer risks in the consumers of broiler meat from the studied poultry farms. This study has indicated the significance of assessing poultry feeds and related products to establish to the quality.","PeriodicalId":479838,"journal":{"name":"British Journal of Multidisciplinary and Advanced Studies","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135484883","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study uses service sector output as the regresand, FDI as the major regressor, and exchange rate (EXR) and government spending (GEX) were used as check variables. The data were sourced from the CBN Statistical Bulletin 2020. The nature of the variables necessitated the use of ECM. Results from the short run ECM dynamic model reveals that service sector output responds positively to FDI. We observed that the lag value of service sector output was positive and significant, implying that service sector output responds to past service sector output positively in Nigeria. The ECM's one-period lag coefficient was negative and significant at 0.05, indicating that service sector output adjusts to changes in explanatory variables and its own lag within a year. The ECMt-1 corrects 17.3% of the disequilibrium between static and short-run dynamic models of Service Sector Output (SSO) within a year on average. The study found that the service sector plays a crucial role in this developing economy's economic growth and development. It is an essential macroeconomic sector that can improve the economy's overall performance and influence the flow and direction of income as well as the Balance of Payments (BOP) position. According to the findings, the study suggests that the government should uphold financial responsibility and allocate more funds towards building necessary infrastructure to support the service sector's growth. This will ultimately improve the overall performance of the Nigerian economy.","PeriodicalId":479838,"journal":{"name":"British Journal of Multidisciplinary and Advanced Studies","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136193237","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As these systems approach their end-of-life, it is vital to have proper handling techniques to limit their impact on the environment and make the most of resource reuse. This article focused on examining the government guidelines for dealing with SPSs that have been decommissioned within the core Niger Delta region. The research used a quantitative method, with questionnaires serving as the tool for collecting data. Thirty-six officials from government agencies in the core three States were examined on the policy structure applied to decommission SPSs. The research utilized both descriptive and detailed statistical methods to interpret the data and discuss the findings. It was uncovered that government personnel are lacks the understanding of policies that encourage renewable and environmentally friendly energy methods in the installation of SPSs and their administration at end-of-life. Among the suggestions, it was noted that governmental bodies must adopt and integrate the essential 8 policy instruments and practice lasting handling techniques for dealing with waste from SPSs within the policy structure applied in the study area.
