Although the factors shaping students' anxiety levels have been extensively explored, the existing literature indicates a notable gap in understanding the gender-based implications on students' Mathematics Anxiety Levels, specifically within the context of the Sagnarigu Municipality. Consequently, this study seeks to investigate whether gender disparities exist in the extent of Mathematics Anxiety among senior high school students. Employing a quantitative approach with an analytical cross-sectional design, the study engaged 385 students selected through simple random sampling. An extensive literature review complemented primary data collection utilizing a dedicated questionnaire, the Mathematics Anxiety Scale. The gathered data underwent thorough analysis utilizing descriptive and inferential statistics. Frequencies and percentages facilitated the categorization of students' Mathematics Anxiety Levels, while the comparison of mean Mathematics Anxiety scores between genders utilized the Mann-Whitney U Test. The study's findings unveiled that Mathematics Anxiety levels among students in the Sagnarigu Municipality, located in the Northern Region of Ghana, were notably high, and gender exerted a significant influence. Specifically, females exhibited higher levels of Mathematical Anxiety compared to their male counterparts. As a recommendation, the study underscores the importance for mathematics educators in Sagnarigu Municipal Senior High Schools to allocate focused attention to female students, aiming to alleviate their apprehensions around mathematics and consequently enhance their academic performance.","PeriodicalId":474385,"journal":{"name":"Integrity Journal of Education and Training","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136242737","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study’s population comprised teachers in inclusive senior high schools in Ghana. Experts in authors’ institutions reviewed and validated the content and construct validity of the instrument. The reliability was established by pilot testing the instrument using respondents from Wenchi Methodist Senior High School, an inclusive school in the Bono Region of Ghana. The Cronbach’s coefficient alpha derived for the questionnaire was 0.79. The study used a cross-sectional descriptive survey design and a sample size of 136 teachers selected using the simple random sampling technique. Data were collected using the authors’ self-developed questionnaire after pilot-testing for its refinement. Descriptive statistics (mean and standard deviation) were used to analyse the data. The findings revealed that most teachers had constraints using alternative assessment methods to evaluate learners who are visually impaired in the classroom due to their inadequate expertise. Overcrowded classrooms leading to large teacher-learner ratios, lack of assessment materials and logistics also posed formidable challenges to using alternative assessments. The study recommends the expansion of existing infrastructure and equipping teachers in inclusive schools with the requisite skills and competencies to use alternative assessment methods effectively. It is also imperative for the government and stakeholders to provide the required logistics to facilitate effective teaching, learning and assessment of learners with visual impairment in schools.","PeriodicalId":474385,"journal":{"name":"Integrity Journal of Education and Training","volume":"364 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136368608","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Yet much is left to be desired; the epileptic power supply, unprofessionalism in government sectors, corruption by government officials, and the well-celebrated practice of substituting merit for a quota system. The paper discusses the need to overhaul Government Agencies and Institutions in Nigeria to meet the desired Entrepreneurship Education for Sustainable Development. Since skill acquisition is central to entrepreneurship, the paper highlighted the need for qualitative education as means for the attainment of appropriate skills for achieving sustainable development. Four skills relevant to different levels of education were identified. Challenges of entrepreneurship education for sustainable development as well as strategies for achieving entrepreneurship education for sustainable development were discussed. The paper recommends that Government Agencies and Institutions saddled with the responsibility of providing entrepreneurship training in the country should be overhauled.","PeriodicalId":474385,"journal":{"name":"Integrity Journal of Education and Training","volume":"48 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135803147","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
