As a university student, proficiency in public speaking, in this instance scientific presentations, is unquestionably essential. This is essential if you want to give a presentation, complete an assignment, participate in the community during KKN, etc. Clearly, doing all of this would be a very essential task. In this case, Public Speaking skills in the form of scientific presentations are often used by students, particularly during lectures, from the beginning to the final assignment that must be completed is the skill of presenting a scientific work. In almost all courses, students are frequently required to write and present scientific papers. Presentation is a form of communication that facilitates logical, precise, and persuasive thought. This study seeks to determine the direct relationship between vocabulary mastery and critical thinking skills and students' abilities to present scientific work. This research method is qualitative description, which provides explanations in the form of descriptions based on data from a variety of scientific sources. Using this methodology, researchers are able to explain in detail and in an organized manner the impact of vocabulary mastery and critical thinking skills on students' capacity to present scientific work. Their inadequate verbal communication abilities are the issue. As a result, the researcher used YouTube media during engaging class activities to teach speaking. Classroom action research is the approach used in this study. actions that are repeated twice. Both qualitative and quantitative analyses of the study's findings were performed. According to the findings, using YouTube media helped students' oral communication achievement, which was demonstrated by their exam scores. In cycle 1, 36% of students passed the exam; in cycle 2, that number rose to 84%. Student involvement increases and their activities take center stage during the learning process, according to observational findings. Additionally, the survey reveals that students strongly agree that using YouTube media during class activities makes them happy. This study aims to analyse the strategies implemented by the teacher for eighth grade students at one of Junior High School in Pasuruan, East Java. Furthermore, this study looks into the teacher's motivations for using the strategies in teaching speaking skills. This research used qualitative research with a case study design. The instruments used in this research were observations and interviews. The results of this research show that the teachers implemented the teaching strategies proposed by Thornbury. Moreover, the teacher was known for applying other strategies such as reading aloud, repetition drills, and modelling cooperative learning as they aligned with the students’ competencies.
