The study applied the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) model to clarify the effect and demonstrate the relationship between the variables. Results showed an integrative relationship between the value-added tax on wholesale and retail trade and hotels (independent variable, X), and economic growth (the dependent variable Y). The short-term parameters showed a statistically significant relationship at a significance level of less than (1%), as the value-added tax on wholesale and retail trade and hotels significantly positively affects economic growth in the short term. Furthermore, the long-term relationship results showed a statistically significant negative relationship between the variables at a probability level of less than (1%). The value-added tax on wholesale and retail trade and hotels has a major impact on national economic expansion, as an increase in the value-added tax by one dinar leads to an increase in GDP by 10.52684 dinars.  This result is consistent with economic theory and verifies the study's hypothesis. The quality and validity of the model were confirmed through standard tests, including a heteroscedasticity test, serial correlation test, diagnostic tests for functional form, and stability tests for estimated model parameters.","PeriodicalId":472349,"journal":{"name":"Business Management and Strategy","volume":"192 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135743743","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Due to the high rate of failures among SMEs, there has been a substantial investment in research to pinpoint the crucial elements that will ultimately lead to a more successful journey. Several models have also been developed to evaluate the profound impact of the social media manager. However, there is a gap in determining how prepared an SME is to successfully boost performance, and the gap is considerably larger when considering it from the perspective of the absence of intervention from social media managers skills (SMM). The current research suggests a model for evaluating such readiness by interrogating SMM skills. In order to help SMEs to better grasp the foundations that must be laid in order to successfully enhance performance, organisational readiness is introduced as a mediator. From the viewpoint of an employee, this paper suggests a model to position the role of SMEs for upcoming challenges. The organisational readiness evaluation seeks to give SMEs in regional Australia a better understanding of the foundations that must be laid in order to successfully achieve the required increase in performance for SMEs.","PeriodicalId":472349,"journal":{"name":"Business Management and Strategy","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135743884","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study delves into the potential of SNS as a means for enhancing employee performance, guided by the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT). Leveraging targeted advertisements to augment performance, the research analyzes a sample of 299 university employee participants in Malaysia through a convenience sampling approach, employing SmartPLS analysis to explore the intricate relationships among technology adoption, advertisement effectiveness, and employee performance. The study reveals the significant impact of UTAUT constructs on technology acceptance and highlights the substantial influence of strategically placed advertisements on SNS engagement. The findings underscore the dynamic interplay between technological acceptance, advertisement efficacy, and enhanced employee performance. The implications of this research are noteworthy, offering organizations actionable insights for leveraging SNS platforms and tailored advertisements to optimize workforce productivity and elevate overall performance outcomes. This study contributes to the understanding of how SNS technology adoption among university employees can be a potent tool in shaping organizational success through improved employee performance.","PeriodicalId":472349,"journal":{"name":"Business Management and Strategy","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135744618","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
