Management of landslides on the slopes can be done by means of changes in geometry through the implementation of terraces or strengthening of the slopes. One method of strengthening the slope is with soil bio-engineering, whereby vegetation such as vetiver plants are grown. Vetiver roots increase the cohesion value in the soil and in addition to retaining the force on the slopes, the roots are able to penetrate the soil layer up to 3 meters. This does not take time as even at the age of one month, the roots of this plant grow as much as 0.5 meters and, after every 2 months, increase by 0.5 meters. The terrace system on the slope is able to increase the safety factor value by 21% and when the terrace is strengthened by vetiver roots, which are 3 meters deep, it is able to increase the safety factor value by 49%. Water is one of the fundamental pillars in its manufacture and its acquisition of the required mechanical and physical properties through the applicable mixing ratios. So far, tap water is mainly used in this process, whether in the preparation of components, mixing or even after hardening during the curing treatment process. However, this may become a burden in the future due to the continuing increasing scarcity of fresh water, which is only less than 3% of the total water on earth, where regions are suffering due to population growth, climatic changes and poor management of water systems. This paper deals with the use of treated wastewater (recycled water) as an alternative in the concrete industry during the mixing and curing treatment phase by testing the extent of this effect on the mechanical properties of concrete, such as compressive, flexural, and tensile strength from a general perspective. This research was conducted on ten buildings using a four-model approach to water conservation, which includes rainwater harvesting, water-saving plumbing fixtures, the reuse of recycled water from gray water, and condensate water from air conditioners in buildings. The results showed that rainwater harvesting contributes 13.12–166.77% of the total building water demand, depending on the size of the catchment area of the building. Rainwater harvesting can be combined with infiltration wells, but the research location is relatively shallow; the groundwater depth is less than 1 meter, so infiltration wells cannot be applied. The use of water-saving plumbing fixtures accounts for 6.4% of the total building water demand. Likewise, with gray water, the reuse of recycled water from gray water contributes 59.87–69.71% of the total building water demand. Gray water is treated at STP, then flows to RWT, then flows to WTP to be treated. Gray water should not be mixed with black water so that the treatment load at the STP and WTP is not too large.
