Purpose: The present study aimed to assess the effects of a theory-based health education intervention to promote healthy lifestyles among hospital administrative staff. Methods: A randomized controlled trial was conducted in which 70 administrative staff were randomly assigned to intervention and control groups. The intervention group participated in an educational program based on theory of planned behavior (TPB) principles over a 4-week period. At baseline and 1 and 3 months after the intervention, participant lifestyle was assessed. Results: All lifestyle dimensions along with TPB constructs showed significant improvements from baseline to first or second follow-up in the intervention group. Adjustment of baseline differences in study variables showed significant improvements in both TPB constructs and lifestyle dimensions (4.1 < F < 26.1, p < .05) except for nutrition and spiritual growth at first follow-up and for physical activity and stress management at second follow-up. In-person sleep education interventions for college students have shown mixed effects on improving sleep behaviors. Online medium of delivery may intervene where in-person-only interventions are lacking.</p><p><strong>Purpose: </strong>Evaluate the effectiveness of online sleep education interventions for college students.</p><p><strong>Methods: </strong>This study analyzed education-based, sleep behavior interventions targeting college students published between 2014 and 2024 that incorporated at least one online modality within MEDLINE, CINAHL Ultimate, ERIC, and Academic Search Premiere databases. Methodological quality was measured through the Jadad Scale.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>Studies (N=6) had a mean Jadad score of 6.17. Most interventions (n=4) used randomized control trial designs, predominantly recruited White and female participants. Studies were fully or partially, were primarily evaluated using investigator-created scales, and used varying sleep outcome measures. Two studies incorporated health behavior theory. While all interventions tracked adherence, only three examined participant satisfaction.</p><p><strong>Discussion: </strong>Online sleep education interventions show mixed effects on college student sleep outcomes. To effectively meet the needs of these groups, a better understanding of barriers and facilitators to lifestyle change and participation in interventions is needed.</p><p><strong>Purpose: </strong>The social determinants of health (SDOH) framework was utilized to examine barriers and facilitators in the National Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) from the perspective of Lifestyle Coaches delivering the intervention to Black or Latinx participants.</p><p><strong>Method: </strong>Using an online survey, coaches reported on barriers observed among participants and strategies to facilitate engagement and retention in the National DPP. We qualitatively coded and summarized responses.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>Black and Latinx participant-serving coaches shared five of the seven most endorsed barriers. Both groups of coaches shared the same four most endorsed facilitators.</p><p><strong>Discussion: </strong>Results illustrate the impact SDOH have on one's ability to participate in diabetes prevention and enact lifestyle change, suggesting that an adapted approach may help to reach Black and Latinx participants.</p><p><strong>Translation to health education practice: </strong>This project informs future National DPP implementation.
