This is resolved in the proposed research method name called secured multimedia big data content protection system (SMBDCPS). The proposed scheme has using AES and SHA-256 hybrid mechanism for securing the keys of encryption and decryption. This method has integrated the key value of AES and SHA-256 together to generate the new key value for increasing the security level. The main advantage of the proposed scheme has required only small storage which is computation efficient. The overall performance of the proposed scheme has carried out on MATLAB simulation environment over the medical health care datasets. The performance proves the proposed scheme has yield better results than the existing scheme.","PeriodicalId":46330,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of e-Collaboration","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":1.7,"publicationDate":"2021-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"41555146","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, CPDP has a prevalent problem (i.e., distinct projects must have identical features to describe themselves). This article emphasizes on heterogeneous CPDP (HCPDP) modeling that does not require same metric set between two applications and builds DPM based on metrics showing comparable distribution in their values for a given pair of datasets. This paper evaluates empirically and theoretically HCPDP modeling, which comprises of three main phases: feature ranking and feature selection, metric matching, and finally, predicting defects in the target application. The research work has been experimented on 13 benchmarked datasets of three open source projects. Results show that performance of HCPDP is very much comparable to baseline within project defect prediction (WPDP) and XG boosting classification model gives best results when used in conjunction with Kendall's method of correlation as compared to other set of classifiers.","PeriodicalId":46330,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of e-Collaboration","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":1.7,"publicationDate":"2021-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"45558357","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Communities of practice (CoPs) are organized to take full advantage of the intellectual and social capital. In this study, the focus is on social capital and the aim is to improve it in CoPs by understanding individual's community network positions. A netnographic approach has been used to identify community network positions based on online social interactions of individuals. In order to gain insight into underlying factors that are related to the development of these network positions, a unique digital connection has been made with a socio-psychological survey. The results indicate increasing polarization in the CoPs. The more centrally located people are more positive about their perceived opportunities from their organisation and consider themselves in a better position to make a meaningful contribution to a CoP than those with a less central position. Thus, understanding and utilizing community network positions can make an important contribution to supporting social capital.","PeriodicalId":46330,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of e-Collaboration","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":1.7,"publicationDate":"2021-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"48513569","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

According to expansion of data, traditional indexing strategies on big data meets several challenges that lead to weak performance; they haven't abilities to handle the rapid increase of data in terms of accurate retrieval results and processing time. So, it is necessary to substitute traditional index with another efficient index structure called learned index. Learned index goes to use machine learning models to tackle such issues and achieve more enhancements of processing time and accurate results. In this research, the authors discuss different indexing strategies on big data both traditional and learned indexes, demonstrate the main features of them, perform comparison in terms of its performance, and present big data indexing challenges and solutions. Consequently, the research suggests replacing traditional indexes by dynamic index models, which lead to less processing time and more accurate results taking into consideration specification of hardware used.","PeriodicalId":46330,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of e-Collaboration","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":1.7,"publicationDate":"2021-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"46493532","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This raises the request for collaboration technologies. As ecological research is data-intensive, it requires the management and exchange of large datasets, often with spatial reference. The demand for collaboration, data, and information management tools in science is addressed by the creation of digital service infrastructures, so-called eResearch Infrastructures, which are collections of typically web-based software systems. Here, an example eResearch infrastructure implemented for a joint research project is presented. It is described by the user stories, the derived functional requirements, and their implementation in software systems. This infrastructure followed an open-source paradigm with only two exceptions. Based on the lessons learned, recommendations for the future development of eResearch infrastructures and their embedment in an organizational, project, and scientific framework are derived.","PeriodicalId":46330,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of e-Collaboration","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":1.7,"publicationDate":"2018-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70455354","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper analyzes the production and reproduction of presence and awareness through RTC-mediated communication genres. Specifically, the author argues that presence and awareness are two interrelated concepts. Four communication genres are presented, which people intentionally or unintentionally draw on in dispersed settings to create awareness. Furthermore, presence, understood as a person's sensation of being perceived by others in whatever he or she is doing, is influenced by the information imparted through communication genres. The author argues that the sensation of presence shapes the characteristics of communication genres and that RTC technology modifies existing or enables new communicative practices. The author notes that previous research has determined that e-collaboration phenomena are more complex than originally predicted and may need new theoretical frameworks. In this study, task constraints are presented as strong determinants of the identification of best fit between e-collaboration technologies and tasks. An illustrative example is provided of a NASCAR and Indy car racing team’s use of instant messaging over a wireless network during races. The author focuses on theories that place emphasis on the surfacing of task constraints as a basis for the selection and use of supporting e-collaboration technologies.","PeriodicalId":46330,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of e-Collaboration","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":1.7,"publicationDate":"2006-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70439208","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
