A total number of 85 professional teachers were screened, by which 73 subjects provided informed consent to take part in the study and were included in the study. A stress questionnaire developed by International Stress Management Association UK (ISMA) was used to assess the stress among professional teachers. Among the 50 subjects, five subjects had a history of hypertension, one subject had diabetes mellitus, 11 subjects had low back pain, five subjects had knee pain, and two subjects had migraine. The stress assessment questionnaire revealed that 64% of subjects were towards moderate risk, 34% high risk, and 2% low risk for stress. The present study concludes that professional teachers are at moderate to high risk of developing occupational-related stress associated with health-related problems.","PeriodicalId":46106,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Pharmaceutical Research and Allied Sciences","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.4,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70830731","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

{"title":"Ethnic Differences in Bone Mass and Vitamin D status in Young Women Living in the UK","authors":"K. Hussein","doi":"10.51847/ymv53mqtr6","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.51847/ymv53mqtr6","url":null,"abstract":"The connection between bone geometry and ethnicity has yet to be fully researched, especially as it relates to 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25(OH)D. This preliminary study aimed to investigate differences in bone geometry specifically at the radius and tibia, as well as in 25(OH)D concentrations, between Saudi (S), Pakistani (P), and Caucasian (C) premenopausal women. A further aim was an examination of a possible link between 25(OH)D concentration and indices of bone geometry. Seventy-two healthy premenopausal women (22 S, 23 P, and 27 C), aged ≥18 years, were evaluated for volumetric bone mineral density and 25(OH)D concentration. At the 4% radius, Saudi women had a lower BMC, as well as a smaller total bone area and trabecular area than Caucasian women. At the 4% tibia, Saudi women had a lower total vBMD than did Pakistani women. Serum 25(OH)D levels in Saudi (36.5(22.4)) and Pakistani (31.4(16.8)) women were significantly lower than in Caucasian (81.9(20.0)) (p<0.05). There were no statistically significant correlations between 25(OH)D status and pQCT bone variables in any of the three ethnic groups. This study suggests a possible need for attention to bone health in premenopausal Saudi women as well as improvement in vitamin D levels in Saudi and Pakistani populations. lower 25(OH)D concentrations than the Caucasian group, with a third of the non-Caucasians being deficient (<25nmol/L). There was no correlation found between 25(OH)D levels and bone indices. The findings regarding lower tibial vBMD in Saudi women suggest a detriment to bone health and call for additional research with a larger study population and within a more representative group of Western-dwelling Saudi women. The low 25(OH)D status in Pakistani and Saudi women is a particular cause of public health concern, and measures are urgently needed to address this issue.","PeriodicalId":46106,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Pharmaceutical Research and Allied Sciences","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.4,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70841804","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is still the best and cheapest medicinal practice among the tribal people. Due to its holistic, the traditional medicine system provides a new research idea. In this study, we connect the uses of traditional medicinal knowledge to local traditional medicine practitioners by using scientific methodology. The ethnomedicinal survey was carried out in three tribal districts of Chhattisgarh, India i.e., Kanker, Bilaspur, and Jashpur, where 125 informants were identified for interview. The demographic details showed the ages, literacy rates, and experience of informants. The Informant consensus factor, use value, and fidelity level were the major scientific tools used to analyze secondary data. Medicinal plants were categorized into 25 groups according to their medicinal uses. Traditional healers have cited 80 medicinal plant species and 41 different plant families. 31 plant species were used to treat skin and stomach-related health issues. Terminalia bellirica Roxb. has a maximum use value (UV) with a 0.99 score. In our study, we found the highest Informant consensus factor (1.0) for the calculus, hematological and urological ailment categories. The parameter fidelity level was found 100% for Andrographis paniculata, Azadirachta indica A. Juss., Curcuma caesia, Madhuca indica G mel., Terminalia bellirica Roxb. Terminalia chebula, Zingiber officinale Rosc. in this study. we found 79 informants gained indigenous knowledge through vertical transmission.","PeriodicalId":46106,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Pharmaceutical Research and Allied Sciences","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.4,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70811778","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
