The modern soldier represents a different level of psychophysical resources. The new, more precise and at the same time more complicated to use equipment forces a change in the concept of preparing a soldier to perform tasks. Directing the development of the contemporary battlefield forces the continuous expansion of the cognitive level, both in the general and specialist area. This new approach to soldier formation shifts the centre of gravity in leadership formation to the area of cognitive resource development. This changes the emphasis of training and education towards the theory of social communication underlying the creation of psychophysical resources and issues related to the contemporary psychology of management in the military environment.","PeriodicalId":45963,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Shipping and Transport Logistics","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":1.5,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"76501236","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"工程技术","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The construction of a three-dimensional reinforcing mat, also known as a \"mattress\", is presented. The reinforcing \"mattress\" is a layer of stone aggregate pre-compressed in an openwork coating made of plastic mesh. The results of the research on vertical displacements of the experimental section established in the railway track with a spatial mat embedded in the substrate are discussed. Vertical displacements were obtained as a function of time in the track subjected to the operation process.","PeriodicalId":45963,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Shipping and Transport Logistics","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":1.5,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"83997482","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"工程技术","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is thanks to her that he achieves his goals and is effective in action and influencing the environment. The article deals with the topic of skilful communication of a leader. The authors of the publication characterized the process of social communication aimed at causing the recipient of information to change the consciousness intended by the sender. Communication skills are presented as a trait of a leader, as well as trust in him as one of the most important conditions for its effectiveness. The personality trait of charisma was also discussed, thanks to which the person possessing it owes unquestionable authority in people and influence on them. It is often the most succinct way of describing the trait that distinguishes effective leaders from subordinates. In order to analyse the quality of communication in the managed team, the study contains sets of questions that should be answered by the leader. They contain questions to be asked when analysing the process of giving direction, analysing your level of empathy for feedback in the communication process and building team morale, and analysing the process of your leadership activity towards your team members. The publication also characterizes the performance of a leader in a multicultural environment and describes models of the leadership process.","PeriodicalId":45963,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Shipping and Transport Logistics","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":1.5,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"76334880","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"工程技术","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Conducting business activity in the supra-national dimension forces the need for a different view of perceiving a number of phenomena. These issues are strongly emphasized by the authors in their article. They emphasize not only the complexity of the process of making managerial decisions, but also the need, even the necessity, of continuous improvement of competences by persons holding managerial functions. The study emphasizes the necessity of analysing the environment, as well as forecasting the development of the situation, especially in the longer term. In the presented description, the authors go beyond the conventional description, adding new issues and threads, emphasizing in particular the growing role of human capital in managing organizations, and - which has not been clearly emphasized - their deliberations focus on the European economic area.","PeriodicalId":45963,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Shipping and Transport Logistics","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":1.5,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"86279897","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"工程技术","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The main objective of these laws is to determine a new division of responsibilities within the public administration system for the planning, implementation and financing of public transport. These new regulations may significantly affect the scope of responsibilities and competencies of transport organizers, in particular regarding the creation of transport plans and funding mechanisms. As a result of maintaining an under-financed, unsustainable transport system based solely on commercial public transport for more than two decades, Poland has experienced a collapse of the public transport system in remote areas. The absence of complex policies in the field of public transport has caused millions of people to suffer from transport exclusion, especially in settlements located outside the main transport routes. This is resulting in disputes over the structure of the regional transport network. The aim of the research paper is to identify potential axes of conflicts between transport organizers, government and local governments subsidizing co-financed transport services, passengers and companies providing public and commercial passenger transport.","PeriodicalId":45963,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Shipping and Transport Logistics","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":1.5,"publicationDate":"2020-10-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"74593802","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"工程技术","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Dedicated to storage, handling and trading of high value items and in particular artworks and jewellery, The Luxembourg Freeport was inaugurated in September 2014. The research confirms that these activities go beyond pure logistical and operational sights. The findings highlights a triptych of resources justifying this location in an environment where art, finance and logistics seem to create a virtuous circle benefiting economic development of the country and promoting the rise of clustering effects.","PeriodicalId":45963,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Shipping and Transport Logistics","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":1.5,"publicationDate":"2020-10-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"82188886","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"工程技术","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The capability of the supply chain to adapt to all, more and more demanding conditions is one of the main factors that guarantee long-term competitiveness and success. R. Kalakota, M. Robinson and P. Gundepudi consider inventory visibility, fulfilment velocity and coordination versatility as three fundamental pillars of adaptive supply chains, also termed as 3V in the literature. The chief objective of this paper is the identification of features that a supply chain should have in order to be called adaptive, as well as the verification of their compliance with the 3V principle. The review of the available literature sources that focus on the subject of the major features of adaptive supply chains (in particular having a decisive effect on their adaptive capabilities) has resulted in certain common elements. The authors of all the described approaches emphasise the two features: visibility and velocity. The third, frequently indicated, feature is also versatility or variety (that can be treated as one of the elements of the versatility of the supply chain). Visibility involves ensuring access to the information for all participants in the supply chain, also customers. Velocity, in turn, refers to the reaction time of the supply chain to all sorts of events and the time of implementing necessary changes. The third element is versatility. It primarily involves balancing the operational capability of a supply chain with market requirements, in particular delivering suitable products and services of the required quality and in the ordered volume. It is also vital to adjust the offer to the individual needs of customers.","PeriodicalId":45963,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Shipping and Transport Logistics","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":1.5,"publicationDate":"2020-10-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"87747395","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"工程技术","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
