La prise de pouvoir par la Séléka, milice à dominance musulmane, en mars 2013, et la violence commise par celle-ci envers la majorité chrétienne a entrainé la réaction brutale et haineuse des miliciens chrétiens d’anti-Balaka contre les musulmans. Elle aboutit à leur exode vers le Tchad où ils vivent une crise identitaire. Il en résulte que cette guerre, en apparence religieuse, n’est qu’une instrumentalisation politique des ressentiments accumulés entre les deux communautés. La frustration de ces exilés, liée à l’enlisement dans des camps sans aucune perspective d’insertion, leur désir ardent de retour en RCA mais qui se heurte à un rejet viscéral de la majorité chrétienne, ne peuvent qu’accentuer la crise. Les jeunes désœuvrés du camp rejoignent les groupes armés pour maintenir le statu quo qui pourrait déboucher sur une répartition communautaire de la RCA. La solution réside dans une politique de la mixité tribale et communautaire dans le respect de la différence et la refonte du code de la nationalité.","PeriodicalId":44599,"journal":{"name":"CANADIAN JOURNAL OF AFRICAN STUDIES","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":1.1,"publicationDate":"2021-09-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"58778510","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
