This paper uses ensemble empirical mode decomposition (EEMD) and Teager energy operator (TEO) to emphasize periodic faults, thus improving the identification of frequency characteristic faults. In the paper two validation process are carried out, they involve the analysis of a simulated outer race fault signal, and real bearing vibration signals which includes: inner race, rolling element and outer race faults. The experimental results with and without spoofing attack conditions and using different single mode speaker verification engines, GMM-UBM, HMM-UBM and i-vector, indicated improvement in all the experiments. The 6.75 % in terms of EER is achieved as the best speaker verification performance, when using fusion of scores from three modes of operation of HMM-UBM based speaker verification systems. In Malaysia itself, about 75% of newborns had jaundiced in the first week of life, this proves by the survey made by Ministry of Health Malaysia. Traditional assessment (Kramer's Rule) is not convenient since there are limits to the accuracy of visual estimation, thus blood test taken from baby's heel remains to be necessary but lead to traumatize to baby and their parents. Moreover the available jaundice meters in the market are expensive. This research work proposed the jaundice (hyperbilirubinemia) detection and prediction system using color card technique. It detects jaundice non-invasively by optical method (spectral reflectance method). This research doesn't involve any subject or infant. It collects data by capturing different type of color shades that represent random bilirubin color in patient's body, human skin color and bilirubin concentration color card using silicon photodiode sensor. This research concern about the human skin factor as it is the major disadvantages in most of the jaundice assessment. Thus, human skin colors represented by Fitzpatrick shades are considered. The final outputs were analyzed using linear regression analysis and characterized based on particular bilirubin value and treatment needed. This is due to floods threaten human life and furthermore affected the economy of the involved country. In Malaysia, floods are usually due to the season monsoon and heavy rains that causing flash floods usually in urban area. Therefore, it is a must for researchers around the world to find a solution in solving this problem. A reliable and practical flood prediction model is in needs to predict flood occurrence ahead of time. Thus, this paper proposed the modelling of flood prediction model using NNARX (Neural Network Autoregressive with Exogenous Input) and hybrid NNARX with EKF (Extended Kalman Filter). The area of study was Klang River. The model was developed using real-time SCADA data that were acquired from the Department of Irrigation and Drainage, Malaysia. The model development was based on flood water level data in meter from 6 Feb. to 21 Nov. 2010. Modelling made used of 120 samples data, model validation using 78 samples data and model testing using 170 samples. Specifically, after estimating a large set of audio features, unsupervised clustering is performed in order to extract feature subspaces. Human activity sound models were trained using different combinations of these subspaces. The proposed canceler detects standing spurious signals present in a sampled bandwidth through the digitization and processing of the incoming waveform. These spurs can come from sources such as internally generated spur from signal coupling, or external interference such as nearby transmission stations. Static gait features within a gait cycle are extracted from gait data extracted using Kinect. The extracted features are further optimized using Locally Linear Embedded and classified using Multi-layer Perceptron. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed method, original features are also utilised. The performance of this dual band antenna is analyzed in term of reflection coefficient when some of the length of the patch antenna was adjustable, overall gain and total efficiency for both frequencies respectively. The size of this presented patch antenna is 4.9 × 7.6 mm2. The dual band antenna was fabricated on a RTRogers5880 with a dielectric constant of £=2.2 and thickness of the substrate is 0.127 mm. The simulated result obtained the reflection coefficient as a requirement of the antenna which is not less than −10 dB for 24.25 GHz and 38 GHz that capable to cover 5G applications. The proposed antenna has achieved a maximum gain up to 5.5 dBi and 4.5 dBi at desired frequencies respectively. All design and simulation are carried out using CST Microwave Studio software. There is a possibility to work out the intuitive steps behind this solution to gain insights on improvising the existing algorithm and building new ones. In this direction, the paper presents an attempt made to bring out the intuitive explanation of the GSP-based disaggregation solution in a clear manner. Additionally, the promising results obtained by extending the existing GSP-based solution for 15 minutes sampled power data are presented.
