Teachers have never developed and used interactive LKPD. Molecular shape is one of the topics that is considered difficult, abstract, and challenging, so teaching materials are needed that can visualize the concept well, one of them through using Augmented Reality technology. This research aims to: (1) create product that fulfill the development feasibility criteria; and (2) find put the response of students to the product during trial. This study is Research and Development (R&D) that refers to the 3D development model, namely Define, Design, and Develop. The instruments used in this study were interview sheet, survey questionnaire, validation sheets, questions item in the product, and questionnaire for students' response to the product. A number of 10 students of X MIPA class were selected through purposive sampling technique as research sample. The research data obtained were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that: (1) product has fulfilled the criteria of being very feasible and very valid with average percentage of 87%, very effective with average score of 99 that also supported by the acquisition of average percentage of completeness of working on questions of 97%, very practical with average percentage of 93%; and (2) students' response to the product is very good. The average percentage of student’s responses per aspect item in the questionnaire was 92.81%. About 70% students stated that product is interesting and easy to understand.","PeriodicalId":444789,"journal":{"name":"JCER (Journal of Chemistry Education Research)","volume":"13 2","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139175277","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Chemdroid is Chemistry on Android. Self-efficacy is related to students’ beliefs in activities in the classroom. This type of research is quasi-experimental using post-test only control group design. In this study, two different classes were used which were declared to be normalyy distributed and homogeneous. The first class is the control class (CC-Class) which conducts conventional learning media as usual. The second class is the experimental class (EC-Class) which uses Chemdroid media for thermochemistry topic as a learning media in the classroom. Both classes have the same learning time, teacher and learning model. The instrument used in this study is a self-efficacy questionnaire that has been developed in previous studies but has been adapted to current research. The statement items used in this measuring instrument are 22 statements with 6 aspects. The test used is the Mann Whitney with the help os the SPSS program. The result of the analysis state that the significance is smaller than level of conficence. This proves that there is a significant difference with the use of Chemdroid media for a thermochemistry topic on the self-efficacy of the control class and experimental class students.","PeriodicalId":444789,"journal":{"name":"JCER (Journal of Chemistry Education Research)","volume":"187 ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139173623","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The research design was a quasi-experimental research design without a pretest (posttest-only control group design). All students of class XI MAN 1 Kota Malang were used as the population in this study. The sample selection was carried out using the cluster random sampling technique and 2 research groups were acquired. Class XI MIPA 6 was selected as the experimental class using the Learning Cycle 6 Phase - Think Pair Share learning model while class XI MIPA 5 was selected as the control class using the Learning Cycle 6 Phase. The number of students in class XI MIPA 5 was 36 students, while the amount of students in class XI MIPA 6 was 34 students. The measurement instrument used is a test. The test was carried out after being given treatment to measure students' skills to recognize the concept of chemical equilibrium. In addition, there is a retention test that is held 1 week and 1 month after students study chemical equilibrium material without prior notification. Test the hypothesis to determine whether there was a substantial difference in education outcomes and retention between schoolchildren taught by the 6-Phase Learning Cycle - Think Pair Share learning model and students taught with the 6-Phase Learning Cycle model in chemical equilibrium material with the Independent Sample T-Test. The data analysis technique used consisted of preliminary analysis consisting of a normality test and homogeneity test and analysis of results consisting of hypothesis testing. The outcomes of the Independent Sample T Test showed a likelihood worth of fewer than 0.05 which indicated that there was a substantial difference between the knowledge outcomes of the experimental group and the control group. The probability values of retention tests I and II are also smaller than 0.05. This shows that there is a substantial difference amongst the retention test of the experimental group and the control group on retention tests I and II. The outcomes of this research show that the midpoint knowledge outcomes in the experimental group are higher than the midpoint knowledge outcomes in the control group, namely 77 in the experimental class and 71 in the control class. This proves that the Learning Cycle 6 Phase - Think Pair Share learning model has an effect on student learning outcomes of MAN 1 Kota Malang on chemical equilibrium material. This model also affects student retention.","PeriodicalId":444789,"journal":{"name":"JCER (Journal of Chemistry Education Research)","volume":"114 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124531191","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The instrument construction is based on four domains of chemical literacy which include aspects of content, context, HOLS, and affective. The instrument assessment rubric is grouped into five levels, namely (1) scientific illiteracy, (2) nominal scientific literacy, (3) functional scientific literacy, (4) conceptual scientific literacy and (5) multi-dimentional scientific literacy. Assessment criteria for chemical literacy instrument carried out by experts include aspects of content, constructs, language and graphics consisting of thirteen sub questions. The score obtained from validation process is a type of multi-rater data which is analyzed by using the Many Facet of Rasch model.
