Communication is the heart of IoT. With the development of technology and the revolution in a smart cell phone, the connected devices reach billions which lead to the increase in the size of data, more routing processes, and challenges in the management of IoT systems. Fog Computing and Cloud computing paradigm extend the edge of the network, thus enabling a new variety of applications and services. In this paper, we focus on the modeling of the fog computing architecture and compare its performance with the traditional model. For detecting obstacles, the proposed algorithm uses a predefined map with a list of obstacles. The best way to avoid these obstacles is to compare them with the data collected from the sensors. Thus, the system learns the best way to avoid them and update the map. All happens upon monitoring the UAV from an android application. Green, Asem Mansour","doi":"10.1109/ACIT.2018.8672670","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1109/ACIT.2018.8672670","url":null,"abstract":"System of Systems (SoS) results from the collaboration of a set of independent socio and technical constituent systems, largely driven by stakeholders' needs and goals taking into consideration SoS high-level goals and the constituent systems-level individual goals. It's challenging to manage the satisfaction of these goals in such large and complex SoS arrangement, where links between these goals may not be clearly known or specified. Additionally, competing stakeholders' interests and goals establish a complex stakeholder environment. In this research the i* goal-oriented framework has been utilised in SoS context to identify, model and manage goals of the overall SoS and its constituent systems. This paper discusses a novel Goals Referential Integrity (GRI) model that is aimed at maintaining the integrity and consistency of both the SoS-level and the constituent systems-level goals, in an attempt to address the current challenges of managing goals in an SoS arrangement. Furthermore, an ontology-based model has been developed to (1) support the GRI model and semantically annotates goals' levels in SoS context, and (2) specify the relationships and linkages between the SoS organisation, its constituent systems, global and local goals, and strategic and policy documents. Therefore tiny objects like cars can be easily detected. Automatic vehicles enumeration research domain plays an important role in various applications including traffic monitoring and management. In this paper, we propose autonomous vehicle detection and classification approach in highway environment. Proposed approach consists mainly from three stages: (i) first, preprocessing operations are applied in order to eliminate noisy objects including soil, vegetation, water. (ii) Then, built-up area index is utilized to detect and delineate road networks. (iii) Finally, Multi-thresholding segmentation is implemented, resulting in vehicle detection and classification, where detected vehicles are classified into cars and trucks.
