Attention is drawn to some specific settings that need to be taken into account when training in the course of training future software engineers. More and more educational institutions are introducing new teaching methods, which result in the use of engineering students, in particular, future software engineers, to deal with real professional situations in the learning process. The use of modern ICT, including game simulators, in the educational process, allows to improve the quality of educational material and to enhance the educational effects from the use of innovative pedagogical programs and methods, as it gives teachers additional opportunities for constructing individual educational trajectories of students. The use of ICT allows for a differentiated approach to students with different levels of readiness to study. A feature of any software engineer is the need to understand the related subject area for which the software is being developed. An important condition for the preparation of a highly qualified specialist is the independent fulfillment by the student of scientific research, the generation, and implementation of his idea into a finished commercial product. In the process of research, students gain knowledge, skills of the future IT specialist and competences of the legal protection of the results of intellectual activity, technological audit, marketing, product realization in the market of innovations. Note that when the real-world practice is impossible for students, game simulators that simulate real software development processes are an alternative.","PeriodicalId":443021,"journal":{"name":"Engineering Educator: Courses","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-02-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128083557","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Questionnaires were administered to collect primary data from the 100 operational level employees in private commercial banks in Colombo district. Descriptive statistics, Regression analysis as well as Baron and Kenny Mediation Analysis method were directed to analyze the data by using SPSS statistical package. The study revealed that job rotation is an important programme for allowing employees to acquire new skills, enhance staff productivity, develop new relationships across the company and gain skills needed for future career advancement and it impact on the employee job performances. Moreover mediating analysis implies that Intrinsic Motivation partially mediate the relationship between Job Rotation Practices and employee Job Performances. In fact, it prides itself as one of the country’s best in terms of managing employee career growth. As well as it has an existing career management which been established from 1999 till now which is 20 years ago. However, it has been noted that there is yet a formal study conducted in EKK to assess the Influence of Career Management to Job Performance of Bahrainis. Thus, this study aims to assess the influence of Career Management Implementation to Perceived Job Performance of Bahrainis in Ebrahim Khalil Kanoo in the kingdom of Bahrain. The study utilized a descriptive research design involving 162 sampled respondents. The research made use of an adopted questionnaire as data gathering tool. The results of the study showed that over-all implementation of Career Management influences perceived employee performance. In addition, the study also found that among all dimensions of Career Management assessed in the study, Basic, Formal, Active Planning and Active Management Activities significantly influence Perceived Employee Performance. Finally, Multi-Directional Activity does not significantly influence perceived employee performance.","PeriodicalId":443021,"journal":{"name":"Engineering Educator: Courses","volume":"175 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126781911","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A total of 100 questionnaires were administered to respondents and related literatures have been used for secondary data. A survey design method was adopted for the study. The statistical tools employed in analyzing the analysis are simple percentage; tables and hypothesis were tested using chi-square. Based on the findings, private off dock terminal has not really impacted on Lagos port over the last five years based on the cargo volume handled by them. It also reveals that private off dock terminal is facing problem in its implementation in Nigeria such as the availability of railway connectivity and inadequate finance and also the inconsistencies of government policies in line with off dock operations. The findings also reveals that the cost of clearing cargo at terminal is high compared to main ports. To this end the study recommended that reductions of chargers on cargo clearance and terminal handling of cargoes should be looked into by private off dock owners, government should ensure railway connectivity form port to off dock terminals, policies should be enacted, which will ensure efficient operations of private off dock terminal in Nigeria.","PeriodicalId":443021,"journal":{"name":"Engineering Educator: Courses","volume":"54 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122993083","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
